Not to be predjudice of seniors or snowbirds, hell, they are my business, but it sucks for a lot of campgrounds in FL because they do cater to snowbirds and a lot to permanant residencies . When living in FL and you want to do a quick weekend trip, your choices are limited when it comes to so many of these types of places.  IMHO I think there should be campgrounds for people who want to just camp, not take residency at.  The lattace and Rubbermaid sheds, just don't do it for me. Along with my small kids swimming with everyone over the age of 70. I dont really care for the permanent stay people at the fort. After a while their sites start to turn into Sanford and son. Just my 2 cents

Ask, and you shall receive. It looks like the boat rentals are no longer there and I believe the cabin in the pics is where you rented the boats. I also included a pic of bike parking at the lodge. That was never there before and it looks like a last minute idea. How about a golf cart parking area ?

How can they continue to charge full admission price to this park. It absolutely crazy. Who in their right mind would pay near $100 each per day to ride 3 attractions and see 2 or 3 shows? I know HS will be totally my favorite park once Star Wars land is opens, but I don't expect to see that for many years. Can anyone say "Avatar land". That movie was so long ago I almost had to ask myself what it was about. Do they think fluffer stuff like Star Wars launch bay is going to keep people coming in? Probably since ther was a 40 minute wait to see a guy dresse in a Chewbacca outfit. I was not impressed with this gray paint job and so called movie props to call this an added attraction. Just plain stupid. If They did things right, they should have built a sub park to HS for Star Wars and toy story like universal did its island of adventure. Is it just me, or is half of the park gong to be ripped up? I don't get it

It would be nice to have Disney spend some of their billions and make a cart path to the lodge with a parking area at the end of the trail. I agree carts should not be on the walking path to mow down adults and children. I also agree carts should not be visible to the hoity toity lodge guest to ruin their $400-$500 a night picturesque views of the landscape. I think it would be fair to have a GC parking area on the south side of the trail behind the trees. This would allow us trailer trash to walk across the street and dump our money into the restaurants and gift shops that the fort does not have. Now I think putting a quick serve like roaring fork at the campgrounds would eliminate us talking about carts to the lodge

Just like the 70 some year old ex police officer who yelled at a guy for texting during the previews at the movies then got popcorn thrown at him so he pulled his gun and killed the guy. This was close to our home about a year ago. Our tax money has been helping to house this scumbag. He is claiming self defense. The man killed was texting the babysitter watching his young daughter before the movie started. Goes to show you all the a$$holes in the world today

Ok, especially each thanksgiving, I see the same people get the same site each year. We all know that we can request sites but nothing is guaranteed. Do you have to have big gaudy blow up decorations to get what you want? I see the the last site on 1600 always has that for a thanksgiving. The first site on 1800 always has that one also. There are probably at least 8 more. I just want to know the secret

Sorry to say, but I actually applaud security for noticing your type of cart. These ATV/UTV/SXS vehicles are strictly stated prohibited at the fort. It seems depending on the time of year, you will see a lot of UTV type vehicles running around the fort. They should not be allowed. I did hear a year ago from security that the loophole around having a UTV at the fort is that if is registered street legal they are allowed to drive on the roads but not park with the carts.

I just read some of the post about surveys and complaints. As much as I post things that piss me off, we rarely have a bad time at the fort and the things I complain about are usually stupid things and we all know you can't fix stupid. I agree the surveys are useless, especially when staying at the fort. I would have to say at a resort like the boardwalk I would think they would take the complaints a little more seriously because they want you to return and hopefully suck you into vacation club. The fort is a concrete pad and now with warped picnic tables and rusty grills. Kinda hard to screw that experience up. Happy Thanksgiving all.

Back in October, my mother was nice enough to watch our kids so my wife and I could celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We lucked out. It as only one night so we had a lot to do in a short amount of time. We did the food and wine festival on a Friday with no kids which was great. My wife wanted to go to Jellyrolls on the boardwalk that night. This is our second time there and I have to say, not many people must not know about it or else people can't go due to their kids being with them. We always have a blast here. For those who do not know, it's a dueling piano bar. The same performers are still there from years ago and know a lot of songs. They start playing at 8 but would recommend getting there by 7:30 for a good seat. By 9:30-10 it will be packed and rocking. The only complaint is parking at the boardwalk. It's horrible. If you have no kids with you, this us a great place for a good time. They serve no food only free popcorn, which is a plus for a Disney place. The drinks are typical Disney prices. They have a drink of the day called the big red cup which may be anything from a rum runner to a Long Island iced tea. They are large so it's kind of a bargin. I would highly recommend this place

We were on Sorin Saturday and the film just gets worse and worse. First time riders will applaude the awe of the experience but if your like us and have rode it a lot , it becomes more of an embarrassment of Disney that they let something get so decrepit. Let's spend billions to expand the parks, put ticket prices out of reach of the middle class and yet keep rides and attractions in the shape their in. We also had the worst ride on test track with the car coming to compete neck jerking stops where it shouldn't stop

Please don't take this as my normal negative self, but a few things:
    1. Your from Tampa and places that normally don't flood, have flooded this year. Neighborhoods by my home in Trinity are still cleaning up and getting nervous every time it rains
    2. Your tent camping. There is always a chance of a tent getting water inside but I do agree it all is determined by the land you set it on
    3. As much as I always agree with TCD about fort management, they did try to help by doing the obvious and offering another site, then offered to bring more sand. They even offered money off the site. Usual fort management would do absolutely nothing
I know it's always easy to blame Disney since they are a money hungry company like every other one, and I'm sure after this horrible rainy season in FL they will be looking at sites that flood, but remember you are camping and not dealing with a broken water pipe in a hotel room. Sorry for your bad trip so far. Hopefully it ended better

They should do more attractions like test track. It's a thrill ride yet it shows how the future of transportation is moving. I also think a parade would do wonders for the park. What it comes down to is people want thrill rides when they spend $100 on a day ticket. MK should stay the way it is. The place will over and over even make a 80 yo feel like a kid again but the other parks need to keep up

I hear ya. We have been camping strictly at the fort for the past two years mostly because we are only an hour and a half away. We just got back from camping in the smoky mountains and now I really don't have a desire like before to camp at the fort. It was so nice to actually be in "real" woods and enjoy watching the kids do what kids should be doing like climbing rocks, playing in the river and hiking in the woods vs. dealing with crowds, mobs of people, sweat, filth, over priced dinners and chaos.Sorry for piggybacking on a year old post

I apologize if this has been shared already but I thought this was a good article on the rise and fall of the wonders of life pavilion at EPCOT. I never had a chance to see theses attractions back in its heyday and now I know what nostalgic value this place has to many. It seems to me that when large companies used to sponsor large attractions they were upkept and modernized more often. Rare to see any signs at Disney nowadays that say "sponsored by"

Starbuc71 got a reaction from djsamuel in CONFIRMED: Tiered Ticketing and Price Increases
We went to beaches and cream 2 weeks ago. I made a 6pm reservation 6 months in advance. We figured the easiest way to get there from the fort would be boat to MK then bus to beach club. We left our campsite at 4pm. We showed up at Beaches and cream at 6:15. The hostess said we missed our reservation time and it would probably be 45 minutes to an hour. After a grueling 2 hour transportation fiasco, I went off on her. Disney transportation sucks. But I can't complain because it's free. When we finally got in, I felt a little bad since this was our first time here and did not realize how small the place was. Typical Disney crap. Let's advertise something like the kitchen sink and invite guest from all over Disney world to a teeny tiny ice cream shop. They should not even serve burgers and sandwiches here unless they make the place larger

To be honest,Epcot has the least amount of attractions but we seem to visit that park the most. Future world is not the future anymore and to say Epcots attractions are timeless like the MK ones is very much false. I don't think the countries will ever get old and the ability to flavor taste around the world will always be great. I really wish they would lookat future world and revamp it. If I were the CEO I would convert future world into Star Wars land, turn SE into the Death Star, turn Sorin into a phenomenal star tours ride, test track into a pod racing experience and leave the countries the way they are. That would be a kick ass park
