  1. Well that's a cool sign and got your Mickey light too :) happy you had a good time.
  2. Cool about the backstage tour. The bakery section was to the right rear and foods to the left. Did you ever see Stratton and Christopher at the Empress? DH and I think they were called the Saltwater Express. A couple of funny guys making jokes and singing. Still remember and use "and it's up against the wall, you redneck mother, mother who has loved her son so well, so well, so well, so what" I haven't been to it since it changed either.
  3. Thanks for taking me along on your trip. What fun. Wyoming huh? Sounds like a very good excuse for western vacations! Been in those scanners too, once a very slim young lady wearing minimal clothing went before me. When we were both through, out of hearing of the lack of a humor gene TSA people, I asked her where they thought she could have hidden anything. We had a laugh, but TSAs are scary and a lot of them are rude. Beautiful dog, looks like she enjoys camping too.
  4. Thank goodness, Carol. Would have been horrible to have that happen. BTW you've been missed!
  5. I remember hearing the news about Elvis too. I had a job in the WDW Central Food Facility Bakery. Building no longer used for food prep or baking It's where the Christmas decorations are stored. At least that is what I've been told. Look, across the water, there is the Empress Lilly, named for Walt's wife. Fun times there.

  7. That's a good thought, you will have enough stuff to haul anyway.
  8. Now, if you are really wanting some Malasadas, they will ship you some from Hawaii.... I went back and looked at the website and found where you could order from them. Guess it wouldn't be the same as fresh in hand...but they sure look good.
  9. Wouldn't you just love to take her by the scruff of her neck and give her a good shake?
  10. Thanks Duane for sharing your trip. Started reading a few days ago and just finished (life gets in the way sometimes). Have sent the Pearl Harbor part to DH. He was stationed in Hawaii during part of his time in the Marines (Viet Nam era). He has said he would like to take me there. From your report it sure looks like a wonderful place to visit. I loved the flag photos, especially the one flying against the blue sky (and a few white clouds), so pretty. If you go back for the fried dough, bring me some back too!! And a chunk of that chicken!!
  11. "I feel bad standing up to "the man" in front of my kids, because I want them to respect authority, but the rent-a-cops they had there were too much." Nope, you shouldn't feel bad about standing up to the rent-a-cop, he was being pushy. I'm glad you pushed back. You were a paying guest and had the right to stand around and try to hear the concert. They did not rent all of Fort Wilderness, so they needed to deal with the riff-raff already paying a lot of $$$$ (at least on our end of the scale) to be in the fort. If the Lucklows wanted so much privacy they could have had the concert indoo
  12. Cortez, I don't know the answer to your question, but some fiend should be along and tell you the info you need. It's good you don't have to see EVERYTHING in one day, makes it a lot more fun.
  13. That was interesting. And so were the comments. Looking forward to reading ideas from other fiends. No children here but always cringe when I see some of the super tiny babies (very young-like days or weeks old) being taken to WDW or anywhere in public. To me some look like they stopped on the way home from the hospital. Isn't there a time frame when babies should be kept away from germs? Have done MK with godsons when they were young enough to be in the strollers, about a year old. Do you remember the Disney strollers from long ago...they could be stretched out and even a fairly l
  14. Thanks for the up date DinDavie and all the info you have provided. I too wonder if the dealers know this trick and fail to pass it along. Should be on the info paper when you buy the plastic runner.
  15. Come on fiends, as of this post only 47 fiends have voted. I know there are more of you checking in every day. You know you do not have to post a comment, just be a registered fortfiend. It's free and doesn't hurt at all. GO VOTE NOW!!!!!
