  1. I've been thinking about Poly the last few days and wondering how you were doing. Thanks for the good news about her. Your sand blasted Mickey head looks pretty good to me. I say, try a Snarky next time.
  2. I think pricey too. Was shocked a few years ago when I 'treated' the godchildren and parents to a visit to Cape Kennedy. And it's probably more now. But, there is a lot to learn there. I would plan for most of a day. It's been 10 or more years since I was there, so you need newer info to use. Hopefully some fiend here will know how to get passes or discounts.
  3. TCD! What an interesting trip report. When you started it back in May I was away from fortfiends and didn't start reading again until July or August. Saw how many pages are in this report so waited to start it until after catching up on other reports. WooHoo Today I'm all the way to page 8 and am thoroughly enjoying the read. This is like having a box of See's candy and eating it slowly one piece a day. I'm :heartsmiley: it!
  4. I like the food at the walk up restaurant there. Sorry DIT, I think De-Vine is cool! :rofl2:
  5. Marty, when you stop at the Florida Welcome station for the free OJ, get a free FL state map also. I...do...not...always...trust...a GPS....device ! :rofl2:
  6. Very good advice, Carol. Some place north of Longwood I-4 becomes three lanes. But there are areas where entering traffic has one or two lanes added to merge with traffic already on I-4. Sometimes those lanes are long and sometimes not. I like the middle lane because I don't have to worry too much about cars trying to merge. IMO the area just after the Holy Land/Ikea exit is a mess , 2 lanes entering, one of those lanes ends, the other becomes the entering lane for the turnpike. You have cars trying to merge onto I-4 and more trying to exit to the turnpike lane. And of course, there a
  7. I'm in page 2. First pic of Tug, I'm thinking tug, hum, wonder if he gets hooked to something and gets to pull. Like a scooter or a dryland rig or a broken down golf cart! I could see the husky in him right away. Beautiful dog, glad you brought him. Good trip report so far.....maybe for name......Tug's First Camping Trip With the Mouse....and a pole to call his own!
  8. It is a good photo TCD. Love the way the clouds and monorail trains make the shot look so cool. TCD were you still in area when those beautiful clouds let go? I had some of the rain on I-4 from Longwood thru Orlando, that was fun :rofl2:
  9. OH rats! So sorry Derek. It's madding when that happens. :banghead:
  10. Thanks Dan, what a fun and full trip. Gold in them thar mountains !! Yep TCD is right, still hot here and humid, have been down to high 70s in the very early mornings. Have hopes of cooler weather by November.
  11. Good question. I wonder if the trailer is backed into the water so the wheels are in the water, then the pontoons lower and float the trailer? But looking at it again, the pontoons appear to be on the sides of the trailer. Would be interesting to see more pictures of this one.
  12. Where ever you decide to watch Illuminations , as Mo said, be sure you are up wind. If the wind/breeze is blowing in your face so will the smoke from the fireworks. Don't know if they are still there, but the torches around the lake give a good indication of which way the wind is moving.
  13. OR ... you could plan to trip over Lou-na and 'fall' in your pool......... :D
  14. Jason is not our only CATMAN Kittens sure can work their way into your heart and of course Lou-na is boss of the dogs, she's a cat.
