Little GDF visits Disney and the Fort
BuckeyeFortMama replied to GaDawgFan.....Kelly's topic in Trip Reports
This is awesome. Love it! -
Well, that foundation seems pretty darn limited in its scope but I am not going to stop ya! Bring on the TR! I must say that somehow those 3 in the same sentence doesn't seem so wrong right now, but football seems like it is a long way off. This may be the first Fort Trip we don't take our Brutus blow up. It just doesn't feel right with it being a non-sporting season. Although nothing says who we are more than our Brutus. I am torn.

What does this mean if you are actually a red-headed fiend? But in all seriousness, I am happy you are finally reporting on your trip. I just know that I won't have time to read it or you finish writing it before we leave for our trip in a few days. Ugh! 3. Playground by the Dog Walk 2. Path of Awesomeness 1. Fort Wilderness Entrance sign-gets me every single time I pull in.

Writing a trip report is time consuming and a labor of love. Thanks for doing it. Amid packing for our own upcoming Disney vacation, I am trying to stay current on this TR. I am finally caught up. I love the scramble theme this year! How cool and fun! Our last candy scramble left us with so much candy that I put like candies in separate ziplocs in the basement and used it for trick or treat. It was so fresh when it went into storage that it was still in great condition when we put it back in the camper in October. Easter and Halloween are the best Holidays to spend at the Fort! Esp

I've enjoyed catching up on this trip report while Marty's "Strange Thingd" addition played in the background.

That's not a tough decision. One with dinner and one to enjoy in the world showcase! They are both great drinks and easy to recreate in the camper.

I love a good cider and black.

I am really enjoying your musings, but especially this line. I wonder do you feel like the President of RC or the Fort or All Things Good That Are Now Dead and Gone? Is this an anti-rant? It sounds really positive.

Magic Bands Do It Yourself Embellishments
BuckeyeFortMama replied to BuckeyeFortMama's topic in Crafting: Camping and beyond
Thank you Mo! I knew it had to be on here but couldn't find it. -
We ordered our Magic Bands for our upcoming trip. The girls and I (ages 12 and 10) were looking at ways to embellish one's magic band with nail polish and tattoos. We are going to be at the Fort for 10 days and would like our embellishments to last. Unfortunately this Mama is not crafty. Has anyone tried this with success? Please share any ideas and definitely include any extra tips of things to do or not to do to be successful at this. Your advice is much appreciated.

AC's Winter 2015 Memory Maker™ Slideshow TR
BuckeyeFortMama replied to AC in A2......Aaron's topic in Trip Reports
I'll be patient my dear neighbor, to a degree. Our trip is at the end of April and I was hoping to glean from your trip report as it's been 18 long months since we've been to the Fort. -

Please tell me you realize this doesn't get you off the hook for a trip report. -

First visit with 4 kids. ... which loop
BuckeyeFortMama replied to Keenfamily's topic in Fort Wilderness Loops Information
Take a look at the map. When our 4 were those ages we started moving from loving the 1200/1300 loops because of the playground and close proximity to the pool to really enjoying little bear 1400 because the kids could ride their bikes more. -
We enjoy most of the restaurants at the resorts, but I have to say I don't think Boma is worth the price and the trek. I remember the mushroom soup being good but not good enough to compensate for the just ok other things. Well maybe it's worth the trek once. It is a neat atmosphere and the animals are nice, but as far as food goes I don't think it holds a candle to the other places we all go to because of the fellow fiends, WL and Poly.

Honestly I'm loving this trip report, BUT if you don't drop an f-bomb or mouse turd soon we might need to petition for a name change.
