  1. Oh please! This is the easy trip report to write. I had to write about 2 weeks AND a major Holiday in my previous trip reports (Christmas and Easter). Let's see how BFF does with this simple Double Dip trip report. I'll just be snarky when I can.
  2. I'm in too, but only for 2 reasons. 1. A beautiful picture of the dragon calliope 2. The insane claim at the end of the first post-no one actually believes there are 4 things the TCD gang has never done at WDW unless it is something negative (like wait in a line without a FP).
  3. What a bummer. I'm sure my friend at the TCD Ranch is also bummed. I know he loves to keep Walt's legacy wherever he can so I am certain he isn't too happy they couldn't undo it.
  4. Ok, I took the time to officially sign in just so I could say.... BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Back up the truck lady! Miss a RD and it's a good thing?? What is this world coming to? Is the FP+ the beginning of the end of the world as we know it? BuckeyeFortFan and are bummed out over it and thinking that it might just limit the time we come because it is so darn restrictive. I have wondered your thoughts on it the whole time you were there. I should point out here that I did a good job not nagging you while you were on vacation but you are home now, and I am desperately looking forward to
  5. What would be wrong is that they would have the college intern do the research and it would be as accurate as the Dragon Calliope blog.
  6. I'm pretty sure it was the 20th anniversary. The hitch toured that year just like Budweiser does, but they can't do that anymore now that the follow Animal Kingdom Zoo rules. Too restrictive.
  7. Look at them again, they aren't the same decal. The 2012 video's decal has the Walt Disney name on more than one line and the 2013 has the new one line logo.
  8. Well, I am in the know again as luck would have it since I've just been visiting your ranch. It is back in the shop. When they "fixed" it up for the 4th of July they stripped the numerous coats of paint off and they were also going to lighten it by removing the non working Calliope workings from all the previous organ powering mechanisms. Unfortunately they covered the Walt Disney Company decal because that is not the official name of the company anymore, but that would be giving up that amazing wagon's history so they are uncovering it. Does anyone have a picture of it from the 4th to com
  9. She can be all rough and tumble for the movie and then in pure Disney fashion they will "sexy" her up in merchandising just like they did Rapunzel and Merida
  10. The same! The overflow lot was more regular car parking than trailer and RV parking on Saturday when we came in. While we sat there waiting we saw family after family pull in, park and get out their swim bags.
  11. Tell her when her candy runs out that we have will have plenty over here in 1205. We have 4 kids trick or treating on Halloween and the MNSSHP the day after. We'll need help eating all that.
  12. I put pictures of the same thing happening on Easter day in our spring break trip report 2013
  13. Not to beat a dead horse but the need for a new roof has been needed and requested for a long time but was put off time and again because of another "project" regardless of the zoo regulations. A typical horse barn has a more open roof under the eaves and that's what the TCD barn needed since the horses were moved there how many years ago? Since the River Country DVC idea is being revived by a pool CM, I would venture to say the roof project really does speak to a dead DVC project.
  14. I have to laugh because the only reason I write the trip report is because he never does it.
  15. In comparison to other loops the 1400 is a nice compromise. Close to pool but not super far from the marina and the sites are a nice size.
  16. Can't a girl get any credit? That was my trip report!
  17. My hubby is always questioning why I waste time on Facebook while he's checking new content here!
  18. I am sorry I missed this comment before, but I'll make up for it now. I would say depending on the age of your kids, you could probably sleep in (I hope Lou... isn't reading this trip report anymore--I know he had to read to see what I said about him, but I am sure he stopped then). and show up a half hour after the scramble and still get buckets full of candy from any of the sections. By then they were begging anyone EVEN ADULTS to pick up candy. Nice catch on the chocolate face. My boys do the chocolate face well. There is no hiding they have had chocolate. Thanks Coach! The
  19. April 1st, 2013 I wanted nothing more than to tell the kids our leaving was an April Fools joke, but unfortunately it wasn't. This was the terribly sad day of tearing down camp and starting the long drive home. Hooked up and looking back at the empty campsite. Where's that smiley face that is crying? :'( Kids in the truck ready to start the trip. This is the beginning of musical chairs. I'm gonna pass the time today doing a mini-report on the Golden Egg Hunt. We stop at this Flying J every single time. My husband would remember where this is. I just know it's
  20. Thank you! I will do my best to finish this trip up so I can start planning the next one.
