BuckeyeFortMama replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Pictures from the Fort
We pull in tomorrow, I'm wanting one of the ladies tees. Thanks for the head's up. -

You weren't kidding about the parkway! Horrible traffic for no apparent reason. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

This is great information which of course I share with the entire BuckeyeFortFamily. I now have an excited 9 year old boy who is determined to finish 2 slices of lumberjack pizza, 3 loaves of cinnamon bread and ride the Firechaser Express. Thank you fellow fiends, making vacations better for years now! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Thank you TCD, maybe I'll put a trip report together. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

We plan to go next Friday and possibly Saturday for our first trip. We're staying at the Pigeon Forge KOA. We have kids ranging from 6-13 and we love family rides, smaller coasters (for example the kids love BTMRR but hate Everest), shows, and good food. I'll gladly take any last minute tips. Main Street Vehicles
BuckeyeFortMama replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
The performers were using the double decker bus as their transportation for a long time but according to my friend who is now providing horse drawn transportation for their 9:15, 10:15 and 12:15 shows on Main Street the performers hated the double decker bus. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk -
ICYMI: A New TCD Trip Report April 2016 at the Fort
BuckeyeFortMama replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Trip Reports
What are the chances the BuckeyeFortFamily would be in AK on the 22nd and biking the lodge path on the morning of the 23rd? High considering how many times our paths have almost crossed. We were in 418, on our first trip in a year. Go figure. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk -
We were just there with our 40' fifth wheel and 20' truck. First site assigned to us was 35' long from road to trees behind the pavement. Called front desk and gave them our lengths and number of slides. Second site given was 42'. Called again this time they assigned us a 76' site when we got there the back corner of the site was cut at an angle because of the canal and the grill would have been just a few feet from our back slide. 4th site was finally big enough to fit the camper. My advice do what Jason said, check the app before you pull too far away from check in, and if it's still not

Animatronics added at end of grand fiesta tour
BuckeyeFortMama replied to Beckers's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Saw them last night. They are very nice and brightly colored. If you didn't know what you were watching for you would have thought they had been there all along, as most of the people in the boat with me were unaware that they were a new addition. -
Apple core allowed in park?
BuckeyeFortMama replied to mastergracey's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I use the rubber band trick on apples. It works like charm to keep them from browning. You cut it and then put it back together around the core and put a rubber band around the whole thing. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk -
I second that, and would urge you to consider a down day at the Fort the day after Easter to recover from the sugar high induced by the Candy Scramble.

In my opinion the videos are worth the money if you are going to get more than one. We have several versions of the mine train from our last trip and the ride photos are fun too. I love watching my kids faces in the ride videos. If you are mindful that you're paying for it and take advantage of the photo pass photographers you will be happy with the purchase.

Mulch, Sweat and Shears leaving DHS!
BuckeyeFortMama replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
I am bummed to hear this. I love Mulch, Sweat, and Shears much to my BFF's chagrin. I will be even more bummed if One Man's Dream is not available for our Halloween trip. 2 of my favorites! -
Sidewalk chalk
BuckeyeFortMama replied to brittthomas's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
We do chalk drawings every trip, but as the kids in our clan have increased and along with it the number of feet they can cover in chalk I've noticed that the chalk dust gets drug onto our outdoor carpet more than I would like. I now limit the chalk to a safe distance from under our awning. -
Nacole, We also homeschool. We have used One Man's Dream to kick start Walt Disney projects for our kids. We know that "museum" pretty well now so I develop a project ahead of time. Back when my oldest was in PS she did a wax museum project where she had to make a timeline with 5 points on it, write a paragraph about the life of the person and then dress as that person and be able to read the paragraph to the guests at the wax museum. She knew so much from our trips through this A/C break from the crowds that the project was easy and fun. It started a trend for us. What used to be jus

Dave Loves Beer (and his wife)....DIT and INC Celebrate 20 Years
BuckeyeFortMama replied to DaveInTN's topic in Trip Reports
Congratulations on 20 years. When a couple spends an anniversary 'trapped' together in a resort you know that's a healthy marriage. Way to go! -
Wildlife Notices
BuckeyeFortMama replied to Tuke's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
We were there the last week of April and the first week of May and the evidence of yellow fly bites are still on my family. They were so bad this year. -
In Northeast Ohio we enjoy Evergreen RV park http://www.evergreenparkrvresort.com/ It is clean and well maintained. The bath house is great and comparable to the Fort. Good Sam ratings of 10 in every category consistently and well deserved. They are set up for group camping trips with a great large pavilion. They have a nice playground and full basketball court. All paved roads for bikes and scooter riding-kid paradise! Our favorite aspect of this campground is the indoor pool. That sounds crazy but there aren't many great swimming days in an Ohio summer and this extends our use of t

Whispering Canyon or Boatwright?

Tell your friend to have someone drink their first glass of drink really fast so they can get the full "whispering" effect. -
