  1. No need to worry, there are a bunch of us that obsess like this. You are not alone.
  2. I know better than to try and get between two brother Fiends, you both think on the same level.
  3. That's what I deal with! Immediately followed by 2 preteen girls pleading Belle's case.
  4. We have some Belle loving girls in our crew, some "Gaston is the best villain" boys because he spits of course, and then there is BuckeyeFortFan who turns it all on it's head and claims Gaston is misrepresented and is really the hero and Belle and her crazy Beast are the real villains. You gotta see this one.
  5. Oh my goodness, I can't believe you haven't. Especially GaDawgFan, you're a Disney machine. What else do you do in that park all day long if don't take that show in? The Broadway version of Beauty and the Beast came to our playhouse and we took the kids. They were so disappointed it wasn't as good as the show in DHS and I have to say in some respects they are right. It really is a great show. I am thinking this would be like the light show on the castle. The castle is awesome, but you see that projection show enough times and it gets old too!
  6. As a Mama of Disney kids for over a decade I can easily say I love this character breakfast. My kids know these characters so well and the music is great if you know the shows. So we do a lot of singing along much to BuckeyeFortFan's dismay. AND they serve the corned beef hash which makes dealing with the SMB aspects of all character dining ok in my opinion.
  7. Hmmmm..... We haven't been feeling the Disney love over the past few years but the itch has snuck back in and we are almost to the 60 day mark for the first trip in 18 months. I'm really interested to hear what you have to say.
  8. The BuckeyeFortFamily loves - Lou'ooooping on the Golf Cart and looking for Fiends -doing a playground tour for the BuckeyeFortKids, which requires stopping at every playground at the Fort including an adult beverage for BuckeyeFortFan and BuckeyeFortMama at Crockett's Tavern -enjoying our late afternoon coffee under the awning while the kids play -being the first family on the dock in the morning to catch the boat -Hoop Dee Doo, Hoop Dee Doo singing on the day after our HDDR
  9. Snarky, Here's hoping your birthday is sweeter than a Main Street Bakery Cinnamon Roll, but longer lived, Happier than TCD in his hammock swinging away an afternoon at the Fort, Full of yummy pood forn pictures from a DaveInTN trip report, More fiend fans than college football, More sarcasm than our friend LOU.... all with a drink in your hand and sweet spot in a rocking chair on the porch listening to some Fort Wilderness music.
  10. Hooray for an update! The pixie dust is all over this trip. You are having a beautiful morning AND you slept in. Awesome!
  11. We do what Mo does. We have a heavy Disney year and then we hold off renewing until our next trip. You might ask BFF for the particulars but I think we have only every renewed once and found it not worth it the discount. We just used this Disney trip dry spell (having to cancel our Halloween trip) to move our AP start date to the Spring to avoid having it expire during Halloween.
  12. Trust the Fiends. I check the app with every check in. We have a large FW and truck and the app is dead on especially when the Disney book is so misleading.
  13. I also have a child with a wild imagination we have struggled with so I feel your anxiety. We have done every Halloween at the fort (except this past one) for maybe 5-6 years. We used to scout out loops before looping and now we just have her sit in the back facing back tell her what side to look on so we can avoid the bad ones. The bad ones are BAD though, but there aren't many. I would estimate less than a handful through the whole campground. That said Jason is so very right. We have our kids trick or treat at fiend campers only for the most part and then pass out candy the rest
  14. Love that you finally made it to the Lodge! Z is going to love the shenanigans at the Whispering Canyon now that you know the way. I am hoping your weekend plans are just to put on updates!!!!
  15. I would have loved to have been walking by when he was there and just listened to him talk like "BUZZ"
  16. Next year's Christmas card? I'm pretty sure all of our "family" portraits have Disney characters in them.
  17. Seriously awesome post! What an amazing first day, looking forward to the rest.
  18. Happy to hear one of the 'Famous in our House' Fiend Families is getting to spend the most thankful of holidays at the Happiest Place on Earth! The FORT! \ Wish it were me! PS If I had a $1 for every time I have heard this we would be on another cruise already, and to be honest it would suit him.
  19. Honestly Kelly between you and I, I wouldn't waste the time in line for the tickets or the time waiting to greet characters again if we ever do another cruise. The character greets weren't nearly as fun and enjoyable as at WDW and with less than friendly photographers who only want to take your one token picture there is no incentive for the characters to spend much time with you. And since both your family as well as mine get plenty of WDW character greets in it's just not worth it to waste the time not enjoying something else that is cruise specific. I felt the other character meet an
  20. Oh my goodness that hash is one of my Disney favorite things (this and bread pudding). Both of which my husband dislikes. I am the only one in my large family that eats the hash so I had some every single morning. It was the normal amazing Disney hash but I got to eat it every single morning of this vacation which doesn't happen when we are at the Fort. Come to think of it I cook when we are at the Fort and that also didn't happen on this vacation. I still wouldn't chose a DCL over the Fort despite the Hash and the lack of work for BuckeyeFortMama 2 points of clarification to
  21. It was Darren. We only heard a million times, "Hello this is Darren, your cruise director" over the course of the 4 nights. The kids also used the location function of magic bands to find each other in the kid's club. If they lost their sibling they just asked a cast member. When the cast member scanned their magic band it would show all the kids in our party and their pictures and they could see where the sister or brother was in the kid's club and what they looked like so they could help find the needed sibling.
  22. Darn! I wish I would have thought about cookies. They would have been perfect with my morning coffee. I swear the chocolate chip cookies at Cabana's were the best Disney chocolate chip cookies I have ever had. In my mind they are like the famous cinnamon rolls or the steak fries. Seriously Dave, my mornings were made glorious after I remembered that you said to order a carafe of coffee before bed. I have a night owl kid and rooster so I don't get much sleep as a general rule and even less on vacations. I didn't actually believe it would still be hot by morning but it was steaming even
  23. I think now would be a great time to mention that I don't think we have had a dinner in the past week and half since leaving the ship that hasn't included a discussion on how much we miss Clayton! Especially this little BuckeyeFortKid
