Here too. I can pretty much call the play by play on the fireworks too.  Just ask DH (and try not to laugh when he rolls his eyes).

That's a really good point.
The projection shows also cause a lot of congestion in the hub area, as guests want a clear view of the castle.  With Wishes, there were good and interesting viewing areas in other parts of the MK.  That probably isn't going to be true for this show.

Fantasy in the Sky was the fireworks show prior to Wishes.  That was good too.
My biggest concern is that the projection portions will result in long periods of no fireworks, similar to the globe and fountain portions of Illuminations.  Not a big issue if you are in the park, but it really has the potential to ruin viewing the show from the resorts, like the beach at the Fort where you won't be able to see the projections.

I might cry. This is my favorite show of all time. Z and I sing it together. Even (my) Jason knows the words! 

I completely agree with you.
With all of the cost cutting that has happened, I fear that they're going to be more heavy with the projections than fireworks. 
Wishes is such a great show.  I can't see how they can possibly top it.

I just hope they dont rely on the projections to tell the story. For me Wishes was awesome as the words, music, and fireworks all worked together to tell the story.

Guess I know how I will be spending almost every night of my April vacation. Wishes is my favorite of all the fireworks shows.

My sources tell me that they will be offering a new Evening Activity at DHS this spring....the Disney's Hollywood Studios "Disney Springs Spectacular"!!  This will be a hard ticket event, priced at $89.  The park will close to non-ticket holding guests at 5pm.  At 5:05pm, all ticket holders will be guided to the park exit, where waiting motorcoaches will whisk them away to Disney Springs.  At Disney Springs, they will be free to spend their evening in any manner they wish, including shopping, purchasing their own dinner, or just strolling along the walkways (for a small additional pedestrian charge).

The experiment started back in November as a test to begin introducing more paid add-ons for the resort’s wealthier guests, but many regulars found the cabanas to be eyesores at best (and a crass way to taint the futuristic themed area’s otherwise-immersive environment at worst).

I'm not sure how that's going to work at Disneyland, unless they finally break down and provide a Wi-Fi system for their guests.  Based on the comments, it's already not being very well received there.
The big question for WDW guests is if Disneyland is going to charge for enhanced FastPass access, can that concept be far behind for WDW?
I always figured that was the ultimate goal behind the whole MDE program.  There are many, many ways for them to monetize it.

I wasn't going to say anything but before a million show up I think I should. 
I took the liberty of ordering 6 and having them shipped c/o the Millers. They should get delivered tomorrow if all goes well. 
It seemed wrong to me that they weren't there for the kids to learn and play with.

It's always so frustrating watching that happen.  I get that parents need to relax, but we've been at the playground for 45 minutes and watched parents not look up from their phones the entire time.  Not only can your child get hurt, or hurt someone/damage something, but you miss the simple things...  and those are often times, the most amazing moments.  You can't get them back:  those moments.  The chance to catch up on emails or post something to FB... yeah, probably another chance there. 

My sources also tell me that the Smoke Shop is also reopening on Main Street, but as a Pot Dispensary.
