  1. Great update. I was in Fresno for business in the fall and drove over to Yosemite one morning. It's absolutely breathtaking. I definitely wasn't prepared for the views.
  2. I like the later show. It's always less-crowded. If it's a slower time of year, the less-expensive tier will still get you a good seat since they don't seat the balcony.
  3. I guess I should have said "Painfully slow" instead of difficult. Roundtrip, that's quite a ride. In a car, it's still a decent drive, but much faster.
  4. I should say, Sanaa should be out if you don't have a car. WAY too difficult to get there.
  5. For the record, I'm anti UTV at the Fort. They're usually loud and too fast. I approve of the rule that they aren't allowed. A little over a year ago I was tent camping alone in the 2000 loop. There were some kids on a Gator flying around the loop and slamming on brakes to make the tires squeal. I called the front desk, security, etc. No one even bothered showing up. Meanwhile, my car was a little off the pavement a few weeks ago and I got a note from a ranger. I'm not the one to usually throw the TCD "Idiot" phrase around, but in this case....
  6. Hmm, I would assume outside of a park due to crowds so I'll say: Casual, not a super quiet place - Boatwrights at POR. I think it's major underrated and I've had great food there. Casual and quieter - Sanaa at Kidani. It's quiet and very, VERY underrated. It's hardly ever crowded, either. Casual and loud and in a park - Mama Melrose. It had a great Christmas feel. Fancier - Flying Fish. Hands down. Big flavors and the best steak on property. I also like Olivia's at OKW, but it's nothing super fancy at all. Typical American food with a few surprises like the conch fritters. Just my opin
  7. I'm full of food suggestions. Are you looking for lundh? dinner? Casual? Fancy?
  8. Just asked someone who I know would know and also checked all ears. Looks like drinks only from both of my sources.
  9. I'd be surprised if they aren't. They're in EVERY giftshop in WDW. I've had one in my hand a couple of times, but keep putting it down. They also have a coffee mug that's similar.
  10. Glad to hear they're replacing the bridge. Last time I cut through there, it wasn't in the best shape. Since I may end up back there next week, well, not so convenient.
  11. I will be requesting 1500 for next week - specifically the ones on the first part of the loop to be as close as possible to the Full Hookup loops where I hear Lorna and crew will be.
  12. When you're booking the fantasmic package, it's under the f's on the website. Not M for Mama Melrose. Found out the hard way. I ate at Mama's a couple of weeks ago for the first time in years and really enjoyed it. It was definitely a better meal than I expected it to be.
  13. The Commissary always has one or two unique things on the menu. It's usually my choice if I have to eat CS there. Otherwise, the pretzel dogs are good and so are the paninis at Backlot Express.
  14. So the ID checking was also happening at AK. It was a pain - especially since your name is just handwritten on the new AP's. Mine is hardly legible. They weren't checking at DHS the couple of times I drove in.
  15. OK, so yeah... delicious. Not quite as "rich" as I thought it would be. I had the profiterole with whipped cream vodka. Sounds odd, but it was DELICIOUS. When we all walked in, the cast members were just standing around twiddling their thumbs. I guess it hasn't caught on yet.
  16. I'll swing in there this weekend. It's taking one for the team, I suppose, but a full review seems necessary.
  17. I've been before since, I too, have to follow a college schedule. The parks are crowded - not July 4th crowds, but busy. The last time I was there that weekend, the Fort was pretty much full. I'd definitely book now and cancel if you change your mind since it only costs the one night deposit.
  18. I like Dinosaur. I do not like guns on Dinosaur. I predict there will now be many signs at the front of the park about weapons as well as pat downs. OK, maybe not pat downs, but at our local Carowinds in Charlotte you do have to go through a metal detector. It's a complete nightmare.
  19. Not that my opinion matters, but I also was impressed by 95 last week. It seems like they've been working on it forever. It feels a lot wider and that big curve is mostly straightened out now. There's still road construction, but nothing like it was before. I've driven through there, probably, 100 times over the last 13 years and it is, by far, the best it's been in that time frame.
  20. They were already there this past weekend. Along with tons of middle and high school groups. It wasn't pleasant.
