  1. There are also stations setup in the parks where you can schedule FP+. I saw the first one tonight. My friends I'm with got MB's this trip and don't like them. "Can I take this off yet" was the common reaction - and they're big WDW fans. I just used my AP and it worked fine.
  2. I couldn't agree more Disneygirl4ever. I love the escape from the real world at WDW, but lately I find myself planning trips when I know I can see Fiends. Even if I sell everything, I'm pretty sure I still couldn't afford to move to a state park, much less the Fort, but if we're dreaming...
  3. The only CS restaurant I remember having trouble finding a table at is the one outside in Mexico in Epcot. For some reason I can't remember the name. There was a lot of circling involved that night. Otherwise, even July 4th this year, there wasn't really a problem finding a table.
  4. Seriously. If I videoed the ducks here, I'd be yelled at. I really need to go work for the parks.
  5. I have it on the agenda for Friday. I promise I'll try and actually take pics this time. There are 4 of us, so we should get a pretty good sampling.
  6. Looks like everyone had a great time last night. Happy Birthday Kathy!
  7. Even though I approve of many anti-troll things, I'm in. As far as the race track... That's the first thing I heard on my first Fort trip. I remember thinking, "that thing is a mile away. No way that's what I can hear." Wrong. It's obnoxious. And loud. So for once, we agree on something. Rant on.
  8. Wow. So much more to this story than I knew. This is awesome. Doodle and Mike are especially awesome (already knew that), but glad it's all staying in the Fiend family.
  9. That's pretty awesome. Looks like I'll miss his show by a week. I wonder if they'll start selling it at Art of Disney all the time?
  10. I agree the 4th is great... just not the best for someone who wants to spend a lot of time in the parks. The July 4th trips are some of the best trips I've ever had... and last year I never went to a park. There was enough to do around the Fort that after 6 days, I wanted to extend. Also, there tend to be a lot of fiends around for the 4th, so there's always a potluck or drinks to be had.
  11. I've been a passholder for quite a while. There used to be decent AP discounts at the Fort, but I haven't seen any at all this calendar year. In fact, the current ones specifically say the Fort is excluded.
  12. I'm in (since you told me I had to be)! Have a great few days with Bob and Kathy.
  13. Great report. My favorite Fort trip ever was a no-park trip. Was great to not be on the go all the time!
  14. Welcome! If you're trying to avoid crowds, stay far away from WDW the week of July 4th. It's fun and there are tons of special things happening, but it's horrible for park touring. I've done it a few times. This year was awful. Just waiting for the parade was a test of patience that week. I agree that early June always seems less busy, but I also think that about late august. Otherwise, go when is convenient and get to the parks at rope drop. Plan your day by doing the big attractions early and you'll be fine. Don't forget a day, or 3, just to explore and relax at the Fort!
  15. I've seen it a hundred times off I-95. I can't comment on the park, but that exit might make me uncomfortable at night. I can't say for sure, but it doesn't look great as you pass by.
  16. I have AT&T and the LTE service is great at the Fort. The 3G wasn't the best though.
  17. I was in the 200 loop in June. Honestly, you are close and can walk, but you're not THAT close depending on where you are. It was definitely convenient but I wasn't as impressed as I had hoped to be. I think I still prefer 1600 or 1700.
