  1. They convinced me to check my own wheelchair ... unfortunately. More on this later. The Delta supervisor came to my loading gate, and told me he had upgraded my seat. I guess he had a guilty conscious, because he had stood nearby while the whole brewup over the racing chair went on and said nothing. Boarded with no problems, and it was a nice seat - aisle and nothing in front of me, so I could stretch out my booted foot. ATL is a quick flight, but you lose an hour because of the time zone change. The Delta wheelchairs in ATL SMB! They have no padding and hard cushions. On top of that, I got th
  2. KFK still rides. More to come ... this was mainly to celebrate my 10000th post.
  3. As many of you know, I was selected to race on the Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Veterans during the Marine Corps Marathon. Friday, October 24th, I flew out of ECP on my way to Washington, D.C. Delta Airlines got off to a bad start. 6 weeks previously, I had called and let Delta know that I was flying with a wheelchair and a racing chair. It was all set - help would be available and the chairs fly free. No help was available at ECP; at first they said the racing chair was too large to fly - even though the same chair clay and the same class airplane all the time; the cargo supervisor came.i
  4. Very cute, Norm ... but it doesn't change my opinion of the movie.
  5. When are you thinking about going? I'll be staying at SoG the first weekend of May (and possibly a few extra days). I wouldn't mind adding a room for them.
  6. I've seen her during some of my Disney runs, but never taken a photo op with her.
  7. Put it at the entrance to your campsite ... across from Dave.
  8. The ones that do stoop to coming to The Fort, are likely doing so to go to MBYBBQ or HDDR - not to actually eat with the low life campers at TE.
  9. Ok, what's up with the Fiends? All of you at the Fort for Halloween, and not one of you has tried these yet!
  10. Sounds a little strange, but you can make a green marinara sauce. You need to stew the green tomatoes for a while to soften them and the run them through a blender or food processor to get the consistency of sauce you desire. Add a little sugar if the sauce is too tart. Fresh herbs really helps bring out the tomato flavor. Needs more time simmering than ripe tomatoes to break down the green tomatoes.
  11. Back when it was still a deal, we spent a week on the DDP. By the end of the week, we got sick just looking at food. We did hit a lot of restaurants we would never have eaten at otherwise; we did order items we wanted to try and never would have, otherwise; we never used DDP again. It's no longer a deal, and realistically, we don't eat in a fashion to make it reasonable.
  12. I wonder how many more Fiends are going to be "Enhanced" because of you and Ray ...
  13. I blame Dave. Obviously they were supposed to drop the debris on Mermaid like Dave bribed them to do, but they missed because of the wind.
  14. I agree with Dave - frying them is all you need to do. I can make a meal out of Fried Green Tomatoes. If you decide to go with the green tomato salsa idea, throw in some tomatillos. Serrano peppers are a good addition if you like a little kick in your salsa. Better flavor than jalapenos.
  15. They usually have a lot of security out during trick or treat. Sometimes they block the really busy loops.
  16. I don't mind pumpkin flavored whatever, IF It's something you can realistically expect to 'work' with a pumpkin flavor; It's NOT overloaded with pumpkin pie spice flavor so much you don't actually taste pumpkin; It's made with REAL pumpkin; ...
