Love the shooting sports!! Just wish that ammo prices would come back down to earth...
I have resorted to shooting mostly .22lr with my son. We both built custom 10/22's this past year. Tack drivers! Shooting Wolf Match...and man is it accurate. I still qualify every six months with an H&K USP40CLEM...
Grew up shooting with my dad...he started me out with a 410 when I was six...and let me shoot his 12ga when I was six too...sat me on my butt real quick. He and a friend reloaded...so they had me carrying a .300 WinMag when I was 8...going deer hunting with them (of course my cartridges were only loaded for 2200 f.p.s. so as to not knock me out of the treestand). .30-.30 when I was 11... and so on. Picked up Archery hunting when I was 13. Shot on the High School Small Bore Rifle Team. Small Arms Expert in the Air Force, P38 concealed carry on C-141B. FLETC trained on the H&K. pistol. Lot's of good training over the years.
I learned a lot from my dad and granddad growing up...and have passed a love of the sport on to my two boys.
Can't wait to take my Granddaughter to the range when she's old enough. I don't push the sport on anyone...but I will go out of my way to pass down the knowledge instilled in me by my dad and granddad to others. Safety!, Etiquite!, Ethics! and Marksmanship! I feel it's important to promote each of these when handling any type of firearm.

This is the first time I've included 2 puppies as part of my family.
The light colored coat is a 6 month old schnauzer / Yorkshire terrier mix that we rescued from the KC area shelter. The other is a 2 month old schnauzer / poodle that originates from south central Missouri. As the picture shows, they are best friends.
Their first trip to the Fort will be in December and I'm starting to think about the logistics of a multi K-9 living arrangement. For instance, what do most folks do we they head out to the parks? As we are seasoned vets of WDW, the days of commando all day visits are past. We typically do the morning 4-5 hours and then back to Fort for some rest and chow.
Do you keep them in their individual crates for safety and comfort? Or, do you leave them together in a dog play pen setup to keep each other occupied? I know there are a lot of variables that will dictate everyone's different situation (i.e. temperament, age, breed, training, ) Either way they will be safely inside the RV. So I'm just looking for folks opinions / experiences.

I'm very late to the party, but I couldn't resist reading it all this morning when I saw it was your first trip. Loved seeing it through your eyes. I also love seeing how much you let your kids just play and have fun. Those will be some of the best memories. With all the stuff to do at WDW some of my kids' best memories are from the playtime.

Lou is over 3 lbs now and almost 12 weeks old. He's starting to calm down a bit now and is willing to cuddle. He's fitting right in here with both kitties and humans.

Friday we went to Hollywood Studios. I must say, this was my least favorite. I really think it was because we should have had another rest day.... but alas, so much to do so little time.
Plus the fact that Ky lost it at the Indian Jones stunt show. She was so scared of all the fire. poor kid. BAD mommy for taking her just cause she's seen the movie. stupid me. Plus the fact that we did not tour efficiently. We kept chris crossing the park all day trying to see certian shows. I wish I could do that day over. We did have fun! really we did.... I just think I should have planned our day better to give us less walking around, more relaxing, seeing more shows... ah well. It's a reason to go back, no?
I woke everyone up at 8am, we got ready quickly and had some cereal... not everyone was in a good mood... I think my youngest (Kylie) was still tired. We drove over to HS.
Got some quick photos by the Hat

Then headed over to get Toy Story FPs. They were already out to 1pm. yikes!
We wandered around and got a photo w/ Mike

Then headed over to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground. Kylie LOVED this place and Ken took her back at least 3 times.
If you look to the back left of this photo you can see Ken yawning in the background... at this point in the trip he was already theme parked out. poor guy.

Both girls really liked the playground and we must have spent over an hour there the first time.

Then we headed over to see the Indian Jones Stunt show. I got to be an EXTRA!!! I loved it. However, after I felt bad for leaving Ken alone w/ Kylie. He told me she cried almost the entire show. poor thing. She did not like me being in the show either. Casey loved it and took a ton of photos! I'll only post one since you really can't see me anyway. I'm third from the right kinda in the back.

Being an extra was a blast! I highly recommend it.
Anyway, Ky was pretty upset, so we waited till the theather was empty and she was calmer to leave. We asked her what she wanted to do next... so off we went to see Beauty and the Beast. She loved this show and was enthralled.

Then Ken took Ky back to the playground while Casey and I rode Rock n Roller coaster w/ only a 10 min wait. We both enjoyed it. Then headed over to Tower of Terror. Unfortunealty, I had given my lanyard to Ken... so no photopass photos of those rides. Bummer!!! I loved ToT!!! I could have take a few more rides... But it made Casey a bit queasy. I was totally bummed. It took her over an hour to feel better.
We went to meet Ken and Ky at the playground and had a snack. Then over to ride our Toy Story FPs. Casey still wasn't 100%, so I don't think she enjoyed it as much as she would have if we hadn't rode ToT. The thing is she usually loves spinny rides and rollercoasters and has been dying to go on ToT since she read about it. Wish I had give her the Dramamine first, I just didn't think it would affect her like that. Next time, right?
We had lunch at the boat by the Hat. Yummy Hot Dog Pretzel rolls. :-) A bit to much mustard for the girls, but Ken and I liked them.
We then headed for the Animation place. We check it out then Kylie and I went to watch Little Mermaid while Ken and Casey went to the other stunt show. After Little Mermaid Ky and I went back to the Animation building. It started to downpour! so we meet a lot of characters. Mr & Mrs. Incredible, Pinocchio, Gipetto, Pooh, S. Mickey, Handy Manny.

    Gepetto kissed our hands :)

Since it wasn't busy, Ky got to really spend some time with the characters. Mrs. Incredible showed Ky how to do a bunch of poses and Ky followed right along. She still talks about that.

The girls did a LOT of pin trading in that building too, since it rained HARD for over an hour.

Then Ken and Casey showed up and the girls and I took the Animation class. We got to draw Bolt. Wish I had taken photos.... it was fun!!! After that, Casey and I went to ride Star Wars.
Oh and we missed Casey's Padawan class cause of the T-storm. oh well.
We got some good Photo pass photo sometime during the day as well.

And watched the Traveling comedians, which were very very funny.
At around 7:30, everyone was pretty much ready to go back to the campground. I offered to stay with Casey and see Fantasmic! but she just didn't want to. She reallly just was tired and really wanted to go swimming. I even offered to take her to MK to watch Wishes from inside the park (as MK had EMH). But alas, she just wanted to hit the pool. The kids loved the Meadow's pool.
So, we went back and got a GAG from Trails end, went swimming then called it a night.

What a beautiful day! It was hot (as you can see by the girls bandannas in the previous photos (you wet then and the cooling gel inside activates--they actually work really well).
Kylie had gotten an Agent P. communicator, so we headed to Japan to do some sleuthing. But first, a photo w/ Marie!

We stopped and watched Mo'Rockin since they were playing. We ended up watching them 2 different times because Kylie loved them so much. She even asked for a Belly dancing costume for her birthday. The crowds were so light! The girls were asked to come dance with the belly dancer. Ky loved it! Casey was a bit to shy to move much.

In Japan we did our Adventure for Agent P. and got to watch a bit of the candy making.

W/ the communicator leading us we explored Japan. We all liked the drummers and the LARGE gift shop.
As we headed around the lagoon we stopped for yet another Family photo

We shopped and wandered around the lagoon.
Casey and I went in Spaceship earth on our way out, but couldn't convince Ky to join us that first time. Casey really liked it. We meet Ken and Ky down the bottom for the fun games and such underneath. Then headed out. It was a very fun day!

We headed back to the campground to watch Wishes and EWP from the Fort beach. A perfect end to a wonderful day.

Ohhh and here's the Photo pass Belle photo.

Yeah. Lil Lou is so cute. And man oh man is he lucky he's adorable! He's so feisty!!! He chews on everything and everybody unless he's asleep. ha ha ha. We took him outside with us this weekend. He loved it!! He used Ken as his "safe place" and explored a bit of our front yard. Misty (our girl cat) even came over to see how he was doing. Our other male cat, Jack is terrified of the little guy... so hopefully that will change with time. But he's settling in and becoming part of our family. :heartsmiley:

Monday morning was Casey's YES class.
So, Casey and I had a quick breakfast of cereal and we headed to the bus stop. We were very lucky and only waited a few minutes for the bus, then made the 8:30 boat to MK. I was nervous about the class as I had nightmares about not finding the people/place. We got off the boat and went right to guest services. Of course NO ONE new what we were talking about! ugh!!!! I asked 3 CM's and no one knew what a YES class was. I finally found a CM who knew what I was talking about, but said a lot of the classes were already in the MK. EEEK!!! I showed them my paper work stating to meet at the MK turnstiles at 9am.... Then this wonderful CM heard us and offered to take us to find the YES class people. He stayed with us till we found some of them way off to the right hand side. Whew. By this time I was shaking! poor Casey was worried that I was so nervous. (I just knew if we didn't register that our tickets for the parks would become invalid... so I wanted to make sure we were all set). Anyway after the Opening show, they separated the kids into small groups and assigned a guide. Casey's group only had 7 kids in it. We headed into the MK and over to a side street. The guide had the kids draw a wave. Then they discussed sound waves, ect. very interesting. Then we headed over to the cafe in Tomorrow land (inside for AC) they did more hands on demonstrations and fun stuff talking about sound and light waves. Next, we went to ride the Stitch ride. Then more inside work for the kids (group questions and such).

Then we headed over to Liberty square to discuss light and refraction/reflection. After that, we headed to ride the Haunted Mansion! and the highlight of the class, we got to go BEHIND the scenes inside the HM!!! it was so cool!!!!!!!!!!! After that we saw Mickey's Philharmagic and the class was over around 12pm. Casey and I headed out back to Main Street to do some pin trading and catch the boat to the Fort, but stopped to see Auroa because her line was empty!

We went back and had some lunch and swam in the Meadow's pool. Ken and Ky had been at the pool since 10am!
Then, we headed over to Epcot around 4pm for dinner and some fun. We went to Innovations, Figment, Club Cool and some of the countries. Yummy pastry in France! Ky was a bit tired and didn't even want to go to Epcot, but she had fun once there. She had a minor meltdown over sharing her dessert... but got over it and enjoyed her choc moouse (We all shared the Choc moose, giant cookies and Apple tart). I don't have any photos since I don't have my PhotoPass CD yet, and was too busy enjoying it to take photos. whoops. Epcot was our favorite park! We went there 4 times during our vacation.

Just wanted to post a quick update.
Lil Lou is doing great! He's eating regular kitten food now and scampering all over the place! He's really interested in our other 2 cats, who are still playing shy... Hopefully we can introduce them this weekend.
Here's a nice photo of Lou w/ my girls. and of Lil Lou riding in the truck on Casey's lap. Lil Lou was a great traveler!

He's making himself at home and we love him more everyday!

    Welcome!
The only thing I have to add to what others have said is that you seem to making assumptions about the pet loops and the dog park that may not be valid. Except on one occasion, when we were next to a "yippy" dog, I have not found the pet loops to be any noisier than the non-pet loops. And, I guarantee you that noise from the dog park is not an issue on the 1400 loop. In fact, I don't think noise from the dog park is an issue on any loop.
Also, the sites on the 1000 loop are much further from any main road than the majority of sites on the 1200 loop, a good number of which back up to Big Pine Drive. But, I camped on a site on the 1200 loop for Thanksgiving week last year, and we were as close to the main intersection of the Fort's internal roads as you can get. Traffic noise was not a problem. And there was a lot of traffic.
Since you have not been to the Fort before, my best advice to you is to relax. Everything will be fine. All loops have pros and cons. I like some loops better than others, but my reasons may not be the same as your reasons. You need to go and find out for yourself.

It's been a while, so I'd thought I'd post what will be the last update.
Our little guy is doing great. Just a normal, actually I think he's special, little kitten.
Unless something happens within the next two days, he'll be making a long journey with one of our Fiends staying at the Fort.
It's rather ironic that he'll be living in the town that I lived in for the longest time in southern NH.
    I will miss him.......a lot.

Some have questioned whether or not Disney would have a female CM doing it because of the dangerous nature of the show.
And it is dangerous. You have the height factor to contend with and the landing. Lots of things could go wrong.
I was surprised at how fast Tink was still going just before entering the landing platform.
As the landing platform is covered up with lattice work, I couldn't see the final 20 feet of the landing, but I did see who emerged from the platform.
The first person to emerge was a very large man. I'm assuming he was the Tinker Bell catcher.
The second person to emerge was a man carrying a very large bag which I'm sure contained the wings, harness, etc that Tink needed in order to do the stunt.
And the third person was...............a girl.
Yup, flying Tinker Bell is a girl.
She looked nothing like Tinker Bell, but it was a girl.
