I would do that once if it were an option :)
We had a boat captain in October that did not pay any attention to the no wake zone and it was a much quicker ride! It was right after the fireworks one night with a full boat, the wife and I both couldn't believe he went through there like that.

On Tuesday we took the motor launch from the WL to MK. We had a boat driver with a learner's permit. He needed 3 tries to dock at WL. People applauded when he tied up. Our trip through the no wake zone was so slow, ducks were passing us. :-)

  2. Stopped at the Bike Barn this afternoon. They have a sign out advertising something called Camp-or-Treat. They gave us a flyer that reads:

"Sign up at the Bike Barn to be a host site for Camp or Treat. You will receive a "Trick or Treat" sign that must be displayed in your campsite. On the day of the event, you can pick up a list of all the participating locations. You are responsible for providing candy. All candy must be distributed in their original wrappers.  Camp or treating will take place on Monday, October 31 from 7:00pm-9:00pm."

  3. We checked in to the Fort on Wednesday. I had done the online check in and faxed a site request.  I gave them a check in time of 1PM, but I arrived about 12:45. I received both an email and a text at 12:41 telling me my site number (one of the sites that I requested) and that I could go directly to my room if I had my Magic Band. Since I was driving and couldn't check my phone, I went through the check in lane. It wasn't a big deal because I was the only one checking in at that time and it went very smoothly.

When you use the truck lanes try to go to Pilot. You can pay at the pump. Most other truck stops make you go in and pay first. Pilot has a app that you can plan your fuel stops around.

Pilot also owns the Flying J truck stops. Most Flying Js in the South and Southeast have dedicated RV lanes, which have both gas and diesel and allow pay at the pump. The Pilot RV charge card can also be used at the Flying Js and you get the same 5 cent per gallon discount.  The Pilot smart phone app also includes the Flying J locations and RV islands is one of the filters. If you stop at a Flying J, the RV islands are out front with the gas islands, but well off to the side so you have plenty of room to maneuver.
