  1. You should extend it a couple days, we arrive the 15th
  2. The best quote from that video: "it's terrible.....go for it!" That had me cracking up!
  3. Glad things went well for her but be careful what you wish for!!
  4. Its not as bad as downtown, since the CG is a few miles before you get that far. But if it's a busy weekend up there, it's hard to escape the traffic. And for my money it's still the best deal for a campground in the area even after going to "seasonal" pricing.
  5. Another vote for River Plantation. It has been our "go to" for weekends up there since 2009. Ownership or management changed a couple years ago and now they are part of RVC Outdoors. They have made several improvements since changing like adding a small lazy river and starting to pave the internal roads. The downside is you need to reserve things in Pigeon Forge as far out as you can for holiday weekends, the fill up FAST.
  6. I used to do 3-2-1 for baby backs but the last few batches I have done have just been about 4 hours unwrapped. I have done them that way mainly cause I was lazy and didn't want to fool with foiling and adding all the extras in the foil.
  7. Yep. I ran mine around 300ish and that 8lbs of pork goodness (pre cook weight of course) took just a little more than 8 hours. I figure for this method I can plan about an hour per pound on cooking. The last 8(ish) pound butt I did "low and slow" took about 17 hours, closer to 2 hours per pound. There was honestly no difference in taste between a low and slow and a turbo'd butt.
  8. Threw a butt on this weekend and turbo'd it to be different. Outcome was great and wont hesitate to use it that method again if needed.
  9. I can see it now.... all the 14 years will be driving those and drifting them around the loops :)
  10. My kiddos will be excited to meet Olaf, that and breakfast with Sophia, Doc McSuffins, and Jake will be a good reason to hop over to HS.
  11. +1 I have a wireless access point that lives in the camper. It's nice to have my own secure wifi.
  12. Great pics! I could go for that kinda view about now!
  13. It looks like it was taken on Halloween morning about 9am.
  14. Thought I'd bring this back from the dead and see if others are still cooking :) We dined on this vat o chili during the big sports game last night:
  15. They will reopen March 19th this year.
  16. I took an almost identical picture last trip with intentions of posting it to this thread.... guess it slipped my mind...
  17. Ours expire Oct 2016 and we will likely not renew. We upgraded our tickets while we were there on our last trip because we were there for over a week, plus we are doing 2 trips in 2016. I think we will be taking a "Disney break" after the trips this year.
  18. Find a local sign shop and take them a picture of what you want. I bet they'd be able to assist with making this happen.
