  1. My current truck is a 2011 Ford F450 and it has 125,000 miles on it. When I got it about a year a half ago it had 110,000 miles on it. The truck before that was a 2004 Chevy 2500 and I bought it with about 128,000 miles on it. When I traded it away for the current truck it had 180,000 miles on it. It sold from the dealer in less than a week. As other have said the motors are good for a LOT of miles, it's the parts around them that make and break a truck. If you can find a high mile truck with good service records or receipts I would not hesitate to consider it.
  2. The power of the 6.7 is great. I have never been a "Ford guy" but when I was searching for my current truck I test drove a new one and it went strait to the top of the list of tucks to find. I had to wait a bit to find a nice used one, around here they are hard to come by and the nice ones wont last more than a day on a dealer lot.
  3. I voted, I really like the one with the green background. It is nice and simple, but lets you know what to expect on the website.
  4. Great report and that place looks REALLY nice. Thanks for taking the time to write and share with us. I'm not sure, I understand what you mean here. Can you give us a couple examples? :D
  5. I do not believe that is a Tennessee thing....I have not heard that around here.
  6. I have a Craftsman version of this that lives in the bed of my truck, I use it for truck and camper tires up to 80PSI http://www.sears.com/porter-cable-150-psi-1.5-gallon-oil-free/p-00946320000P?prdNo=22&blockNo=22&blockType=G22
  7. I know a fella.... Said fella might have enjoyed a jar of the peach under my his awning this past weekend.
  8. I am looking forward to this one, hopefully when it is released my 2 girls will still enjoy Rapunzel like they do now.
  9. In TN: Pigeon Forge\Gatlinburg area - River Plantation for us. One of the least expensive parks in the area, nice size sites, friendly staff, good "base camp" while visiting touristy stuff or the National Park. Crossville area: - Deer Run RV Resort - This is likely our absolute favorite campground, especially since the owner has started redoing the sites in the back of the campground. It helps that the owner is one of the best campground owners I have ever seen. In the last few years she has upgrades sites, added cable, installed wifi, added rental carts but has yet to increase her rates.
  10. But people could use up a fastpass selections to see it, right?
  11. Well I went camping this weekend and missed out on the large BGE....oh well. Hopefully another deal will come my way. Didn't take it camping this weekend but do intend to do some chicken on it this week for dinner, need to decide what I want to do. Any suggestions?
  12. As long as they don't change the "Boo to you" parade too much I will be happy. I have an almost 4 year old and a 2 year old that watch it almost daily, and know they are going to be seeing it in person this year.
  13. I might have a line on a large, a "friend of a friend" is moving and hasn't decided if they want to deal with moving it. I have already told them if they decide to get rid of it to let me know first and I will remove it without needing any assistance from them, to make it as easy as possible for them :D
  14. We had some friends over Sat night and did some steaks (sorry no pics) and my plan is working. My first egg is a small so it is "portable" and it can camp with us. I knew going into this that the small would not cook for much more than our little family and when my wife realized this a larger egg would be in the works. I just didn't expect it to be so soon.... It started Friday night when she told me buying the egg was a great decision despite the cost, asked if we could see our larger propane grill and old electric smoker. Got that done in about an hour Friday night.... Saturday rolls around
  15. Thats a great looking cart, I really like the armrests for the rear passengers.
  16. Pay more attention to the wheelbase than the bed length. Some cab\bed combinations on the truck give you the longer bed for storage (if you wanted that) but can be on the same wheelbase as a crew cab short bed. I would think the longer wheelbase would be more beneficial with a bumper pull than a 5th wheel since the connection is made farther back on the truck. The bumper pull has much more leverage to start the wiggle process on the truck. Obviously you have a fantastic hit to mitigate that, and make wheelbase a non-issue.
  17. My vote is WC as well. We have only done breakfast there so we didn't get the full "experience" there but we enjoyed it.
  18. I don't have anything to add, but do agree with the other 2 fellas.
