  1. No, but your existing fancy bracelet is just as functional there as it is at Disney :D
  2. They also have a new ropes course now, it's on property but managed by someone else. It's a bit spendy but looks like it would be a good time if you are into that sort of thing. It's 2 levels with the top level being more challenging, bottom level is $35/person and top is $45/person. The little fella I talked to about it says its about 2 hours to complete the course. And yes, the lasy river is fairly small.
  3. for the price difference I would definitely go to a 15k unit. Question - was your 13k in your last camper ducted? If not, it will get 100% of the cold air into your camper. If the new one is ducted, you are going to lose some cold air into the ceiling, just part of it. So the more cold air you can get the better. Heck, we have 2 15k units on ours and we are debating adding a 3rd.... You can never have too much cooling power.
  4. The newer model has an added thermal sensor that will shut things down if the plugs get too hot. Other than that there is not difference. They do have the newer model but it is more expensive. For me the thermal sensor was not worth the price difference to me. Mine was supposed to be delivered today but UPS didn't show up due to the weather.
  5. Congrats to the twins! More of that TCD pixie dust at work for them!
  6. That't the best option, no more guessing on what it weighs (while empty)
  7. I finally did the "buy a bigger truck" thing after the last 2 we got could not keep up with the campers we wanted. Granted, I didn't take the leap you did....but I should be good for a while :D
  8. I can't speak for the Palomino brand, but our 5er is a Forest River Product and I have been pleased with the support I have received from them. I have also seem from the Forest River Forums (hey to all you knuckleheads I know from over there :) ) that they generally provide good support when issues come up. For me the dealer\manufacturer support played a role in our decision making just because I knew I would be dealing with them on issues.
  9. Great pics, I have added Hollywood & Vine to our "must do" in October.
  10. Another vote for Eagle's roost, we stopped there last year on the way down and will use it again this year. I went ahead and unhooked while there to get fuel and drive through the Zaxbys next door to the gas station.
  11. For us it's a great place to relax and unwind from the hectic rush of the different parks. I can hop on a cart and loop, sit on the beach and listen to music, or just do whatever it is I want to do at my own pace.
  12. I will let others (more experienced) help with the logistics but I do have experience cramming a larger camper in the full hookups. When we were there in May we staying in the 1800 loop, I have a long bed truck pulling a 43' 5er and I was able to get in relatively easy. Now, with that said it did take some jockeying around to get in and settled, and if there had been a camper with a car parked in the site across from us it would have been another adventure. With that said we booked a premium site for our next trip. I want the wider concrete to have more area to hang out, setup chairs, etc an
  13. When we purchased our current camper we were pre-approved through the credit union, made working with the dealer a bit easier I thought.
  14. For some reason I expected this topic to be about a girl and her love for Tinkerbell....
  15. Looks good! I have a question about the light. Do you change the color with a remote? If so, where is the sensor for it? We have an Amazon color changing bulb and the sensor for the remote is inside the bulb itself and not sure how it would work with the bulb in the globe.
  16. I am schedules tomorrow morning at 7:45 to have mine done. They asked if I would drop my truck off as it might take 2 - 3 hours but I told them I'd wait. I'm going to see if they wont just do it right away when I get there, no reason for it to take that long....
  17. Congrats! Another vote for the Forest River Forums, there are some knowledgeable folks over there as well.
  18. I got my letter in the mail as well. Curious as to why they need my truck for a half day to take care of this..
  19. Yep. If we do it I'm just going to install a completely separate 30 amp system for the bunkhouse. I will have to plug into the 50 amp & the 30 amp plugs at the parks. I think I saw someone over on FRF do the install on theirs and it looked pretty good.
