  1. I'm a fan or River Plantation in Sevierville, it's our regular spot when we go to PF\Gatlinburg. One thing you will need to consider is your size. Some of the CG's in that area are not setup for larger rigs like you have, so if you call to talk to any of them be sure to inquire about that. As far as time I would say a couple days at a leisurely pace. You can buy annual passes cheaper that 2 days of park tickets so definitely look into that if you plan to be here a few days.
  2. Yep, this is the first. I know there will be another one in the future :)
  3. I just picked up my first BGE last night, will be doing a cook on it this evening. Now I just need to decide what to cook first :D
  4. Usually if the battery is hooked up backwards there are 2 large fuses in the converter that will blow, protecting the items beyond that and keeping all those little fuses from blowing. I'm not sure what could have happened that caused the other fuses in the panel to all blow. Have you guys replaced the fuses yet? If so, and there is some sort of 12v short in the system I imagine they would possible blow again right away.
  5. Paging DIT, paging Dr. DIT! Hopefully Dave will see this soon and be able to provide some input for you.
  6. Welcome! Here is a thread that has a list of folks that will be there this year at that time: http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/14128-halloween-2015-gg/
  7. If you take the 8 or so screws out of the outside cover on the AC unit there will be a sticker near the compressor area that will give the details about it. On that sticker it should list the BTU's that it is rated for.
  8. Great explanation Doug. That should be handed out with every weight distribution hitch sold.
  9. I have heard good things about the Nashville East KOA. However I have no first hand experience with it. Here is their website: Clicky
  10. Thanks, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything specific about "approved vendors". Carry on :D
  11. Forgive me if I have missed something, but are there some vendors that the Mouse allows to rent carts to guests?
  12. I tend to have more mason jars laying around than most people and have been wanting to do this for the girls. I'm just a little leary of turning them loose with a glass bottle at this point. I do like the one Rob made with the lights, might be a neat way to do some mood lighting around the camper.
  13. I do if I think about it, but I don't think you HAVE to do it.
  14. We had our 5er (42') in the 1800 loop last May and I would do it again if I had to. I had the exactly 10' from the back of the 5er to the back of the sand pad, the easy up was a perfect fit. I did have to park the truck off to the side to gain a little room, but was sure not to violate any rules by putting any tire in the grass dirt.
  15. Great pics, and I love the people who come to your site to wash the rig. While we were In MB we had a wash\wax scheduled for the day before we left. It would have been fantastic if the guy behind us and one site over didn't complain to the company about the water blowing onto his truck. That caused them to stop and only had about 3' of clean roof.
  16. I have a Yakima rack on the roof of the truck and I'm very happy with it. This is what it looked like on my old truck
