  1. Someone also posted on FB some pictures of the new lights they will be using for the show, they looked rather impressive to me.
  2. When I hear (or read) someone say TEOTWAWKI that's all i can think of.
  3. Then all you can do is hope for an evenly distributed load on the fan, to maximize capacity. Don't want to overload one side and it slide off all at once!
  4. You won't need a pit toilet, it will already be on the fan at that point :)
  5. If this had been done with the entire family it could be in the running for the 2017 Christmas card!
  6. I bet its only a matter of time before they fix that tree problem. I've wondered if any of the modern diesel engines could cause a fire if the conditions were correct. There are times where I turn my truck off in the middle of a regen cycle and my EGT's are well over 1000 degrees. I wonder what would happen if I parked my truck on some of that dry pine with a 1000 degree exhaust pipe. PS I would NEVER park MY truck off the concrete, that would be against the rules!
  7. Great pictures from The Fort, I never get tired of looking at those. The people watching from the 2 parks (sorry catching up after a couple days away) looked to be quite entertaining as well. I'm going to have to figure out a way to pawn the children off on the wife for a couple hours on our next trip and people watch!
  8. WOW! A surprise appearance by the former bus driver!! Howdy, sir! DIT - you think if you wrote them about your past issues with Snow they'd box her up and send her your way? Might be some sort of "fresh start" for the two of you.
  9. I would really love to see video from the pilot's point of view. I think it would be cool to see Cindy's castle from that vantage point!
  10. What about SUV sized strollers full of "service dogs"?
  11. Thanks for taking the time to share and write a report! PS - those bubble machines are great for keeping the kids entertained, but that music is obnoxious after the first 5 or so minutes!
  12. Glad it went better this time, sure makes the start of the "experience" better when it goes like that!
  13. I would think that would be the easy part.... Hook up power and 2 water lines and viola! washer :) We looked into doing a combo but I can't justify paying someone to install it...and I can't bring myself to drill that big of a hole in the side of our 5er.
  14. So you are saying that you would make The Fort great again?
  15. Thanks for the info. DW and I have talked about it and we will likely see it and then decide if the 2 girls will be ok with it. The wolves and the beast getting shot are the scenes we have heard the most about and I think that as long as it isn't gory or detailed it might be ok for them. If nothing else DW and I can have a date night to go see a movie
  16. Anyone in this group have any thoughts on this being appropriate for a 5 year old? Some of the folks my wife has talked to mentioned that the violence might be a bit much for a younger kid.
  17. My first thought is that it might be tied to how many rooms were available at the Wilderness Lodge, but what you turned up was excellent info.
  18. Eagles Roost does have nice long pull thru's. This is a 42ish foot camer with a long bed truck in front of it. I did not have to unhook by any means, was just running errands while we were stopped.
  19. Welcome to the madness and thanks for logging in and posting! Hopefully you will have some great weather for your trip!
  20. I think this is pretty spot on. I think you are going to get folks at the Fort that use if for convenience that have no idea of what the camping mentality is. I have to remind myself of that from time to time when we are there so I can relax a little.
  21. That cup in the bottom right of this shot must belong to someone else, OR that boycott thing isn't working all that well
  22. I voted for 900 loop only because that's were we stayed on our last trip. I don't remember the exact site number but we really liked it, the site fit our 5th wheel better. The only other premium loop we have stayed in was 1200. It wasn't bad but the site we were in could been a little larger and it felt like the road was a bit tighter.
