  1. We had our 1st mishap with a Kenny cart (1st time in 3 rentals) this past October. We were cruising around heading into the 1200/1300 loop areas and we heard a loud BOOM....and then no power. One of the batteries had exploded under the seat. I pushed the cart off the road and called to let them know I had an issue. Kenny called me back that afternoon in a matter of minutes and told me that he would get it fixed. He did get it fixed but it was the following morning before it could be done. This is not what you want to see when you open the seat after hearing a boom. The negative terminal i
  2. If you are talking about the diesel lanes with the big trucks, no it is not the case. With MOST of these you will have to go inside before fueling and tell them how much you want to pump (guess high has been my experience). When done you pull up to the yellow line and go inside to settle up. Now, with Pilot\Flying J if you have one of their "RV Plus Charge Card's" you can use that to turn on the pump in the truck lanes just like you would a regular pump. We have one of those cards and it generally only gets used when traveling, and that is the reason we try to stop at Pilot\Flying J's. It's
  3. The only thing that would make this better is if the guy she's sitting on was wearing a plaid vest.
  4. I have the file if that would help you out. If you'll PM me your email address I can send it over.
  5. We went through that with our current 5er. I knew going in that it would need an axle upgrade, and I knew before hand that Forest River was swapping them out at their expense for owners that asked for it. So right after signing the papers I turned to the sales guy and asked him to contact Forest River about an axle upgrade and the look on his face was priceless. lol I think with ours there was right at 1000lbs of cargo capacity and it holds 600lbs of water if we were to fill it up. So we would have had a 42' 5th wheel that slept 10, and could carry 400lbs of stuff. That definitely wouldn't c
  6. Just think, if you filled the fresh water tank on that camper you would eat about half of that 900lbs :)
  7. We had breakfast there in October and food was average. One thing we did like about the character breakfast here is that you seemed to get MUCH more time with the characters. At one point we had Pluto sitting down at the table with us for a minute. Silly pup was begging for bacon
  8. You'd think this would happen a lot around the holidays to generate a little extra Christmas money
  9. One thing to look out for with slides.... The 4 slides in our camper are hydraulic and there is 1 switch the extends and retracts them all so I cannot open just the bunk slides by themselves. On ours the rooms open by path of resistance....bedroom, living room, then the 2 in the bunk rooms and will generally close in the same order. Luckily for us the only thing we cant access with everything closed is the actual bunk room. We can get to the fridge and both bathrooms with everything closed up. Now, if for some reason I do have to get something out of the bunk room it involves opening all of th
  10. I am another one of the B&W fanboys...I simply love my companion hitch. I have had great customer support from them with questions after the sale and would not hesitate to purchase another one in the event I needed a new hitch. I must admit I was tempted with the Andersen hitch when it came out but I just couldn't bring myself to make a change.
  11. You can still get a little bit of an annoying rocking\chicking with a 5th wheel. Once 475 merges back with 75 south of Macon the new road is spaced just right for our camper to ride terrible. We have a constant rocking\chicking back and forth that will not go away no matter what speed we run. I guess its just the pavement is spaced perfect for our truck and trailer to get in a rhythm and cant get out of it. It's funny for about 10 minutes but after that it loses its humor.
  12. It take a little getting used to because they track different than a bumper pull but roads have yet to be an issue for us. Around here campsite size can be a bit more of an issue but if you plan well and do a little research ahead of time you can usually figure that stuff out. I think our 5er is just under 43 feet and while we have sized our self out of some campsites, the size benefits far outweigh that. We also tend to stick to more "resort" type campgrounds rather than state or federal parks and that helps with the size issues as well. Most recent campgrounds are designed to accommodate
  13. From our experience in October the parents are likely sitting in a ricking chair (or in a small group at a picnic table) looking at their phones. Meanwhile little Bobby and Suzie are running around tearing things up.
  14. Another fantastic TCD report! Thanks for taking the time to share with us.
  15. I wonder if they are actually at the Fort? I see a ton of posts that have the hashtag fortwilderness and they are actually at the Wilderness Lodge.
  16. I would do that once if it were an option :) We had a boat captain in October that did not pay any attention to the no wake zone and it was a much quicker ride! It was right after the fireworks one night with a full boat, the wife and I both couldn't believe he went through there like that.
  17. This makes me mad...... http://www.knoxnews.com/story/news/crime/2016/12/09/sources-teens-toying-matches-started-fatal-wildfire/95210356/
  18. It was the last week or so. I went back and tried to look for the post but was unable to find it due to the amount of posts in the group(s).
  19. I think I'd be inclined to let the truck to the work as far as shifting\braking. With the weights you guys are towing I can't imagine there will be much to slow you down too much.
