  1. I saw someone in a Facebook group recently received a nastygram from the rangers about decorations being on after midnight. Apparently there is at least one ranger that will enforce the possible rule.
  2. Great looking site for a great meal! I'm glad Rocky got some time with the tetherball. And that is a fine picture of 3/4 of the TCD ladies. Hopefully there will be a chance later in the trip to get all 4 of them together.
  3. In this case you can....it's $15.99 plus tax And I'm pretty sure at some point in each of our 3 trips to the Fort I would have gladly paid their price for a beer. Luckily we have been prepared and have not needed to do that (yet).
  4. I saw another review of this from Josh and he did not seem impressed. He did however tweet some amusing pictures: https://twitter.com/easywdw/status/803695950321647617
  5. The storms that rolled through last night were strong and there was 1 tornado in it. The high winds kicked up 18 new fires in the mountains but I believe the new ones were contained fairly fast. It has been a good steady rain all day and I hope that it is helping extinguish the mess in that area. I did see on the news earlier that the Red Cross has asked that people stop bringing up water\food\supplies as of now. Apparently they have received more than they know what to do with (not a bad problem in this case) and aren't real sure where to store it all. So far Dollywood has not had any fi
  6. The fridge will use the battery on the camper. However, if your camper is plugged into a generator then the campers converter will keep the battery charged just like if you were plugged into the campground. And just FYI - even though you have your fridge running on propane, it still needs 12v to run the control board and keep the propane going. If your battery runs down your fridge will turn off.
  7. You will want to measure from the center of one axle to the center of the other axle. This is the best picture I could find that kinda shows what I mean. They are measuring from the center of one hub to the center of the hub on the other axle.
  8. My 2 cents is go with Maxxis 8008's unless you are moving up to a 16" tire (obviously you are not doing that). I had several thousand miles of great service from our Maxxis tires on our older bumper pull camper. That tire wear looks a LOT like an alignment issue. While not quite as easily address on a camper it can cause problems. I would start with looking at measurements from the center of 1 hub to the center of the the 2nd hub on one side of the trailer. Take the same measurements on the other side of the camper and see how close they are. You might be able to do this with the wheels\
  9. I'm in for the TR! I've said it before but I love to see my "backyard" through other people's eyes.
  10. If you intend to do a trip in cooler weather be sure and check their website, they are not open year round. Halloween weekend it was just under 2 hours to get from that campground to the aquarium in Gatlinburg. That was avoiding the parkway as much as possible. Traffic was bad....real bad.
  11. I happened to look at annual passes again last night and at the top of the page it says: "Purchase this pass by January 3, 2017 and get 13 months for the price of 12!" Clicky
  12. You think that would be enough time for people to register to hand out candy?
  13. They can't even be bothered to park in the site correctly, so why wouldn't they hang their poo-shoot on the grill?
  14. I just PM'd you a link to my dropbox, it should have about 60 pictures in it for you.
  15. I know from reading here that the online checking process has changed recently, but unfortunately I have not see it since it changed. Hopefully someone will be along soon and will be able to answer your question. Oh, and WELCOME to the group!
  16. I think that might be the best route. The 100 miles might add a couple hours but I bet that will be faster than waiting in traffic on 95 and\or 26.
  17. Is there someplace you could keep a running list of site numbers you need info for? I'd be glad to do what I can while we are there in a couple weeks, but don't want to duplicate any info to you and cause any extra work
