  1. Let's also talk about Kenny's carts. The 6-person carts (3 of them now) but each one has had some kind of quirk- either electrical issues or molasses slow. We rented a 4-person cart once. It had a pretty annoying quirk that the lights would go out the faster you went. They tried to help but it never got resolved.
  2. Definitely smells like a mistaken sticker. I believe many of these stickers are generated by someone hand-typing values into a spreadsheet (and had that confirmed with the Sabre plant). My guess is they mis-typed it as 4,200 lb. axles to get the sticker to come out somewhat like what you see.
  3. True. I tried the chili pasta when I was in Cincinnati at the airport. Would have been OK but the noodles were wet and that made it terrible.
  4. Coming from central Pennsylvania, what everyone else calls Chicken Pot Pie isn't what we call Chicken Pot Pie. Thick homemade noodles, chicken, goodness. Not a pie, but for some reason it uses that name.
  5. I've gotten the Chicken Pot Pie a few times. It's always been a puff pastry but never mickey head shaped. Here's from last week:
  6. They're still around. I don't recall exactly where we were in DS (I'm lost most of the time), but I know we saw a cat the other night.
  7. We're hoping to make the Feb 24th one. We'll see how it works out. We're in AL at that point, but need to come back in for a doctor appointment for my wife. Planning on making a weekend out of it.
  8. I wonder which came first- these bear cans or the alligator attack? Disney got lambasted because they didn't do enough to prevent the alligator attack; could this be a result of that? There are bears in Central Florida, this Disney has to do everything possible to prevent a possible attack. (Of course, it's a moot point when people pile up garbage outside because it doesn't fit inside.)
  9. For Premium sites, we've been in 600, 800, and 1300 in our 42' fifth wheel with deep 3' slides on both sides. We have friends who like 400. In 600, we backed up to the creek/canal/water. Personally, I've come to really like 800. Driving through, I feel 700 is cozy. I can dig up some pictures of our sites if that would help.
  10. In Moab, we stayed at Archview campground. Our site was very nice and had a view of Arches NP. http://nowornever.learntorv.com/2016/01/moab-ut-cant-wait-to-go-back.html In Colorado Springs, we stayed at the same place that Rennie suggested - Mountaindale. However, we have had a bunch of friends stay at Garden of the Gods campground and were very happy with it. http://nowornever.learntorv.com/2015/12/colorado-springs-part-1-of-3.html
  11. We have seen the color changes, but we haven't had any cast members say "welcome home". It does make some kind of noise, but we haven't been able to really isolate the noise to know what it is yet.
  12. Why not use an inverter? I can't sleep if I don't have my CPAP- I get heartburn and a brutal headache. We occasionally Wallydock and stay places without power.
  13. We visited Key West many years ago on a cruise. I remember very little of it- other than we did a trolley tour. In 2014, we went for Christmas. We RV'd at Bluewater Key which is at mile marker 15. We loved it, but were overly disappointed in food. Some of the staples weren't great- B.O. Fish Shack and some others just didn't wow us. I did a trip report on that visit: In 2016, we went for Thanksgiving (not intentionally, availability happened). We again RV'd at Bluewater Key and loved it. Food this time was overall better- the little food trailer outside of the aquarium claims it ha
  14. I'm possibly going up to Mobile in February to visit with a cousin. I was looking online at Meaher State Park. Has anyone stayed there? Thoughts on it? And, if we go- suggestions for things to do/see in the area? Free/cheap are preferred. We have museum/science center memberships that have reciprocity agreements with other places. Thanks in advance.
  15. My dually is my daily driver- I can tell you length and height are 100x more an issue than the width. This is coming from someone who has been in all sort of small towns. That said, for a 13,000 lbs. fifth wheel- it likely doesn't need a dually. But, I personally wouldn't pull it with a 250 as you'll be over one or more ratings.
  16. You can't do either of the tunnels near Baltimore, MD. http://learntorv.com/road-tunnel-restrictions-near-maryland/
  17. If you are going to consider LT tires, understand that they have a lower carrying capacity than an equivalently sized ST tire. You either have to go up a load range and/or size in order to maintain carrying capacity. For the size your camper is, the Maxxis m8008 is a great tire and should serve you well. http://learntorv.com/what-are-the-best-tires-for-your-trailer/
  18. They had free cookies when we were there in 2014. If I recall, they weren't very good...
  19. I was talking to a friend who was talking to an electrician at the Fort. He was saying that he thought Disney bought an existing campground and then added to it to become what is now Fort Wilderness. I hadn't ever heard of that and figured this would be a good place to ask about it... So? What was the very start of Fort Wilderness? Blank land and Disney built a campground? Or an existing campground that was bought by Disney?
  20. I've also heard like $10 for watermelon of all things.
  21. We are definitely looking at Oahu because of Aulani and Pearl Harbor. Right now I'm seeing a few 2-3 bedroom houses available for right about $2,000-2,500 for a month on the Big Island. That and some of the parks on there sound really cool (getting to see actual lava!). I haven't priced our a rental car for a month or even how you get from one island to another, but that's on my list of things to figure out. My food budget is already inflated having a tiny fridge, but I do understand it'll increase quite dramatically with this trip.
