  1. As TCD said, it doesn't seem that much larger than many strollers or wagons people use now. My issue is more being able to see over it and not running into the person in front of me. With the sunshade on top and the way it curves- I don't see how you can accurately know where the front of the stroller is.
  2. Neither. They're at home, but we are not using their MBs. Since the accounts are linked in MDE, my wife can make them FastPasses (as if they were going to a park for a day). Once we use up our 3 FastPasses, she's able to switch the riders on their 3 FastPasses from them to us. (As if we had all gone together and they decided they didn't want to ride; instead of switching MagicBands- you can switch the riders on the FastPass). We then use our MBs to get onto the ride.
  3. For 2 hours north of the Fort, we've stayed at what was called Oaks N' Pines in Lake City. It's now Lake City RV Resort. I don't think it had a playground, though- at least not on the end that we were at (campground map looks like they do not- https://www.flickr.com/photos/dougsetzer/24502952802/in/album-72157663367343970/ http://lakecityrvresort.com/ I only have 1 picture of our site, but it's not a good one because we had pulled in backwards to be facing friends.
  4. TCD said what I meant (just you know- understandable). My wife will use a friend's Annual Passes to book the FastPasses in their names. Then, after we have used our 3 FastPasses per person, she'll switch the riders from our friends to us. At that point, they're our FastPasses and we use our bands.
  5. I'm currently enjoying sub 10% humidity... a swamp cooler would be great for here!
  6. Wow, I wish. We are lucky to hit 12-14 mph in any of the 6-seaters we've reserved no matter who is on it.
  7. Agreed- I was always surprised the system didn't check this. I'm curious if you'll still be able to swap out FastPasses for other people. My wife uses the accounts of friends who have APs to book FastPasses. Once our 3 FPs a day are used up, she'll swap the riders from them to us. Since we had admission into the park- it should be legit.
  8. On multiple occasions, we have seen Disney fire trucks in the fort playing frisbee in one of the meadows.
  9. We like the 800 loop and being in the site around 860. They're... close to the bus stop but you don't hear it no one is behind you close to the bathhouse you can easily walk to the Marina faster than the bus gets there. Here is site 862. It has been the most private site we've been on with a fair amount of tall vegetation between us and our front-side neighbor. Here is 861: And here is 864, it was less private between us and the front-side neighbor but still spacious:
  10. I'm in a 42' fifth wheel and am pulling with a crew cab/long bed truck, so I know your concern. Make sure they know you're in a 42' rig - that it's marked in your notes or something. I've both requested sites/loops and have let the Fort pick. They've yet to put me into a spot that I couldn't get into. We have been on Preferred (200 loop) and Premium sites (600, 800, and 1300 loops). I haven't done full hookup sites, but it sounds like they're generally more parkable than in the Preferred loops. You can do it! :D
  11. Heh, done it, not done it, done it, not done it, done it. 3 out of 5 isn't bad.
  12. Thanks for the info. Maybe we'll stay in the park or nearby and test our luck.
  13. That's some serious Disney magic... they let her drive the bus?!
  14. I just learned of this place on Facebook. Hard time for me is that I only do Florida in the cold months (Dec-Mar), so couple a potentially cool day with cold water and I'm not sure it makes sense for us to go.
  15. We're pretty split on driving vs. using Disney transportation. Except for Magic Kingdom, for that we always take the boat. If we do NOT have a golf cart, we'll drive way more than using Disney's transportation. I despise waiting for an internal Fort bus to go wait for a bus. I know people say these are quick, but I seem to have crappy luck with them. At the parks, we often just walk instead of using the trams- with a stroller and multiple bags (yes, we're those people), it's just too much of a hassle; plus we have split up before and it was quicker to just walk. Sometimes I claim I'l
  16. Did they happen to say how they keep the water so clear? And possibly mention what would happen if someone took a few dozen gold fish and happened to sprinkle them around there (and maybe Epcot)? What would happen to the fish.. and maybe the nefarious prankster who did it? I'm just asking for a friend... maybe even a fiend.
  17. Can I suggest maybe headed to Aquatica (Sea World's water park)? My family all liked it infinitely more than either TL or BB.
  18. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I told my wife that she and I need to check out Wilderness Lodge after reading this report!
  19. Sadly, we dealt with water pressure issues the whole 2 weeks we were last there. It would come and go- often times down to at trickle. You've gotten more solid information than I ever did. This is definitely one of my frustrations with paying Fort-rates and getting a "regular" campground experience.
  20. The melamine microwave plates are no joke. I tried nuking food one day on our old set- got to the point where the plate was literally hot to the touch, food charred, and the rest of the food was still cold. In other news, I can tell you the exact day that I learned our plates were NOT microwave safe....
