  1. I'm in. I'll be posting our Fort trip from this past weekend (10/18-10/21) in the next couple of days. And mine isn't going to be all butterflies and unicorns either.
  2. Ha Ha you said ball and cup! And it's a little stiff!!!!!
  3. Maybe they need to put the gate up back at the entrance and use cards again to get in and out. Would at least keep out non guest cars.
  4. I remember during most of our earliest visits to the fort the parking at the Meadow was strictly enforced. Security used to keep an eye on the cars that were in the lot and make sure they didn't stay too long. There was no way you could park along the road.
  5. That's a good idea. I have a small Mickey, and I can feel the air seeping out the beige part of his nose/snout. Maybe it's the heat down here in FL that messes with the fabric and makes it more porus.
  6. AP's are definitely the way to go and it seems like you'll be getting your moneys worth out of them. I agree with what everyone is saying about just coming and going with no pressure. Go for a ride or two, then leave and hang out at the camper. Go back later if you feel like it or not. You will suddenly become the cool mom instead of the crazed mom checking her phone for ride times and trying to get everything done in a day! We have Seaworld/Busch Gardens passes. Busch is close enough for us just to go over for a couple of hours to walk around and catch a show or let my granddaughter
  7. I agree the waterproofing would probably be the best, but I was trying to be frugal. I have 7 figures out for Halloween, most are the giant sized ones, and I have about another 8 for Christmas. One is a huge Snow Globe. I imagine I would need a case of the waterproofing spray!
  8. Starch might melt, but I think hairspray might hold. I was also thinking about the clear spray paint.
  9. Maybe that's how mine had worked. At check in I tried to give my card to the CM. She told me that we had already paid in full. Maybe she meant that they had the info and were going to charge us? Going thru my bank records, I see that they actually charged the remaining day on our checkout day, not before we got there like the CM told us. Charges using our linked KTTW cards didn't appear until the day after our checkout (we were only there Friday to Sunday). Sorry for any mis-information
  10. Folks I made a mistake! We were in the 3000 loop last time. 3030 with the chocolate fountain for the kids and the neverending beer keg for the adults was the best loop ever!
  11. I got asked for a pin the beginning of last month when I made 2 charges. One at Beaches and Cream, and one at a Boardwalk shop.
  12. A co worker wondered about starch. I was thinking heavy duty hair spray. I would like to be able to spray it on the inside while the fan was running to distribute it all around, but not to sure how without having the zipper open and the character collapsing.
  13. I did on line check in yesterday for our arrival Friday. This time I didn't add a credit card for incidentals. Last time I did that (and maybe goofed up somewhere else) they charged the rest of my stay to my card before I got there. Also, this time it I couldn't get to the preferences link where you could "request" what loop and amenities your preferred. Kept getting an error. I did fax in my loop and site preferences. Hope we get what we asked for. Last month we had the best site ever! 1511, it backed up to a canal, and there was enough of a "hill" to slow the grand daughters down
  14. 8 foot Vampire Mickey is one of the casualties along with a Pirate Pooh on a treasure chest. Hope the spray works
  15. When we were there in 77 the Marshmallow canoes left the dock behind the trading post. I don't think there was a bike barn at that time.
  16. Where did you get the waterproof spray? I think the seams and the fabric just dry out and become more porous over time. I can feel air coming out of Mickey's nose and face.
  17. Anyone have a fix for inflatables that no longer want to rise to the occasion? They don't have holes or tears, but they won't inflate fully. Currently I have two tied to supports to stay up.
  18. The Smart Kids call it a Publix take out chicken dinner for 1/2 the price. :clint:
  19. Looking around at used older PUP's. Of course I'm looking for the mythical one that has been garage kept, only used 3 times by a little old lady, and is $300. Barring finding that bargain I'm just trying to find a good inexpensive unit in decent shape. I can do some repairs, removing/replacing cabinets, fixing some leaks, recovering cushions, etc. What are good older brands? We had a 70's small Coleman quite a few years ago that was great . But reading some Craigslist ads and seeing some on line chats, it seems that Colemans went downhill, especially in their roofs. Lots of stori
  20. Just to let everyone know, Fall has finally arrived in Florida. Lows of mid 60's and highs in the 80's. Natives have broken out the ski parkas. The pools will be less crowded!
  21. Fort Desoto park is really nice. http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/05_Ft_DeSoto.htm not sure of their time limits.
  22. It seems if you do the on line check in, you can select which loops you prefer. Not sure if they use that info or not. I did the on line last time we went, and when I got to the Fort found out somehow I had already finished paying for my stay by my on file credit card. I'm glad it was only one extra day. Money wouldn't have been there if it was a week long stay!
  23. The forgot skinny dipping in the moat around Cinderella's Castle. :rofl3:
