Travisma got a reaction from Breezy2 in 2019 Christmas Events
The frame for the Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian has been erected.
These are the themed trees at Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail.
I hope it's cooler this year, we were sweating walking thru the trail last year!
The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail will be back for the 2019 holiday season and is set to begin welcoming guests beginning Friday, November 8, 2019, through January 20, 2020.
This walk-through experience in the Marketplace at Disney Springs has photo opportunities galore along with holiday music and falling “snow.” Keep an eye out for special food and beverage kiosks and merchandise from select shops throughout the trail as well.
Some themed trees will not return this year such as Pluto, 101 Dalmatians, The Jungle Book, The Muppets, and Alice in Wonderland and a few new trees have been added including Aladdin, The Lion King, and a Walt Disney World Theme Parks tree. Although subject to change without notice, below is the list of Disney-inspired Christmas Trees coming to this year’s Tree Trail:
Walt Disney World Theme Parks Mickey & Minnie Mouse Beauty & the Beast Sleeping Beauty Aladdin Frozen The Princess & The Frog The Little Mermaid Mulan Haunted Mansion Snow White Pinocchio Toy Story Disney Villains Dumbo Cinderella Robin Hood Star Wars Peter Pan Tangled The Lion King Mary Poppins Fantasia -
Travisma got a reaction from keith_h in They just can't get enough of these extra hour$ parties!
But they will probably sell out a lot of the nights, which will encourage them to come up with even more money grubbing schemes that cost extra.
They already parties that cost extra during MNSSHP.

Travisma got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in UPDATED 11/20 Year of a Million $chemes keeps on going and going, and going...
Not quite dinosaurs, just had to dodge the horse and buggies and the Penny Farthing bicycles.
It was the late 70's to probably mid to late 80's. That was when the trading posts still had the deli counters where you could order fresh made sandwiches.

Travisma got a reaction from momof3kids-Yvonne in So frustrated...
I would try to contact someone in charge.
Tell them you are not happy with their solution, that you booked the site in good faith based on what was on their website.
It wasn't your fault that they had the incorrect pricing, and that they need to admit to their error and honor the price you paid.
Hopefully they will cave in and let you keep the price (and not give you a site next to the dumpsters).
If they don't honor the price, look for a local Albuquerque TV station that has one of those consumer advocates, tell them your story and see if they will look into it. At the very least it was a mistake that the festival should make good on, at the worst, it was a case of bait and switch.

Travisma got a reaction from Country Coach Guy in Christmas decorations at the Fort
Most of the bigger decorated sites will be set up about a week before Halloween, or at the very least the weekend before.
You might be able to get in around those times if you say you're going to Trails End for dinner, or better yet get a reservation for lunch or dinner then they would definitely let you in.
You really shouldn't try to go over on Halloween itself with a golf cart. The loops are wall to wall people with kids darting all over the place. Personally, I think they should block carts from the loops on Halloween night and restrict them to the main roads.
Since the loop Trick or Treating is not a Disney event, they will probably never do that because it might upset some guests.
But I think it was last year or the year before, there was an incident with someone getting bumped by a cart and then a fight ensued. There may or may not have been adult beverages involved.

Travisma got a reaction from Country Coach Guy in Christmas decorations at the Fort
There is a thread about this years Halloween Decorations being cut back. Some rules that previously weren't being enforced now are.
It's been 2 or 3 years since they posted about the decorations being turned off at 10. Again it's one of those hit or miss enforcements.

Travisma got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in In case you missed it. Disney Parks Blog: Watch the Replay of ‘Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular’ Fireworks at Magic Kingdom Park
https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2019/09/disneyparkslive-watch-disneys-not-so-spooky-spectacular-fireworks-sunday-sept-15-at-1010-p-m-et/
It's a great show, much better in person.
The Blogs camera work has improved the last couple of years, but it's still not as good as being there.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights have returned to Magic Kingdom Park, and this year, one event offering wowing guests is the brand-new nighttime fireworks show, “Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular.”
Today, we’re happy to share that Inside Disney Parks is just moments away from live streaming “Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular.” Our stream will begin at 10:10 p.m. ET, right here.
In the new show, Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” comes to tell a “not-so-scary” story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. Jack’s ghost dog, Zero, flies off carrying everyone along on a trick-or-treat adventure, where Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. They encounter dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains along the way.
Of course, you can also catch “Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular” in person by attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Find details on that here.

Travisma got a reaction from fladogfan aka Gretchen in Dogs Allowed at the Campfire
Probably buried at the bottom in miniscule print is a disclaimer saying you shouldn't allow your dog (or cat) to drive your car.
We have become such a litigious society that common sense no longer counts and everything has to be spelled out to prevent a lawsuit.
There was a warning label for an iron, saying you should not iron your clothes while wearing them.

Travisma reacted to Grumpy and Grandma in D23 RUMORS
Further North of the Hotels was what I saw two years ago. There is still a massive chunk of land there. The new College Program Dorms and Strip Mall are on the SW corner of 429 and Western Way right at the edge of RCID property. They have filled that corner in as itt is a very large campus. There is also still a large parcel off of Hartzog that is vacant over to Avalon. And for those interested, Western Way now connects to Avalon you no longer need to use Hartzog.
