  1. Magic Cookie Bar from Roaring Forks. Cinnamon Roll from Main St Bakery. Carrot Cake Cookie from DHS. Think I've got a sweet tooth?? :rofl2:
  2. I like England. The whole feel of the street scene, the pub, the Twinings shop, the quiet garden area behind the shops...and mostly the fish n chips and Bass!
  3. We've never eaten at LC, partly cause with 4 kids it ain't worth it, but mostly cause I figure if I'm spending that kind of money on a nice dinner at Disney, I'd rather do the HDDR and enjoy the show and the all you can drink beer, and then stumble back to my campsite. Plus I just prefer fried chicken and ribs to some steak that's got a mushroom blob dumped over it. JMHO of course. I prepare meals ahead of time and put them in ziploc bags in my XL850 freezer. I'm too old to change. That approach works for me and that's that. You do what you want. Check out my mods in the link below. A
  4. Someone mentioned recently that the one at DTD was not too busy when they went by...think it was Deb. Now Jim is reporting the same thing. Doesn't seem to be working out? Maybe we could all get together to sign a lease on the space when it goes under, and open a Fried Chicken and Kungaloosh stand.
  5. I like foot longs, nicely warmed!! (is that better)
  6. Do travel agents have access to a system showing who has room behind their rig for you? :) Not at Richies cammmmpuh as Lorna calls it. I thought I snored lol. I told Lorna next time I stay with them maybe she could take the sofa (Rich sleeps in his easy chair) and I could just take the master bedroom. Haven't heard back yet. :D Donnie's M.O. is to knock on the door with his pillow & blanket in hand. He doesn't give you a chance to say "no"!! :rofl2: Lorna's too smart to accept that arrangement. And too married. :rofl2:
  7. I like the natural casing type, like Sahlen's from Buffalo. Roasted over charcoal, preferably the natural wood kind. Put on a toasted bun with ketchup, mustard, chopped onions, pickles and hot sauce. :)
  8. Do travel agents have access to a system showing who has room behind their rig for you? :rofl2:
  9. I had one CM at T.E. try to tell me I couldn't use my lifetime mug. He looked about 18 years old and was wearing the "Earning My Ears" ribbon. I told him that my mug was older than he was and to show me where it stated on the mug "good for length of stay". He actually looked and then told me he'd never seen one that didn't say that. I told him that he now knew what a lifetime mug looked like. He called another CM over to look at the mug and to question if my mug was "valid". The CM was Paulette ( :rofl2:) who then (to the shock of the kid) walked over and gave me a huge hug. She told th
  10. Grand Marquis. The official car of old people. Now if it was a Crown Vic former cop car now that's a thugs car. You are cruisin for a bruisin.
  11. I have the plastic one on the front of my van now. Got it at the Fort a couple years ago. Personally I never really liked that design...was too busy. But of course I handed my money over to the mouse for one anyways. :rofl2:
  12. My understanding is that the agency gets their fee from Disney (or from the cruise line or wherever). That fee can't be too much on a campsite reservation...but I guess the travel agency hopes to build relationships with folks by providing them with good service, so that when the day comes that you are making a reservation for a cruise or other more expensive vacation, you will also use them for that. I know I will!
  13. I have only called Disney to change a reservation. I've made reservations online lots of times, but more recently I've used an agent with Travel On A Dream...Rhonda. It's easy, she does all the work looking for dates and discounts, and will make changes if you need to. And best of all it's free!
  14. This trip report is just as enjoyable the second time. Although you could have edited out that pic of Ms. White. :rofl2:
  15. This was a GREAT trip report. So glad you posted it over here.
  16. Oh, I know what you can make with that! :rofl2:   I can't camp without beer, bacon, my comfy camp chair, my Camp Chef stove, Pretzels, and coffee...but most importantly I need my DW and girls.
  17. :rofl2: :wiz:  :D :D
  18. Narnia blows. And I CAN'T STAND Fantasmic. I just don't "not like" it....I mean I freakin CAN'T STAND it. The lines are huge, and then the show just plain makes no sense. I mean, did they really have to devote such a large part of the show to John Smith?? Didn't really fit the Fantasia / Disney Villains theme to me. But what do I know? I also don't have much use for Tom Sawyers Island anymore. I used to really enjoy going over there. It was a peaceful spot to grab an ice cream from Aunt Polly's. But AP's is gone now, and I think the whole island is woefully underutilized. Could be
  19. The Barnstormer ROCKS! Fun for kids AND parents...
  20. What to do at DHS?? Hmmm, where to begin? For starters, how about this: The carrot cake cookie And then there is the peanut butter and jelly milkshake at 50's PTC: And the fried chicken: If you still have time after that, I could give suggestions at Sci Fi Diner or the Brown Derby. Oh, and I hear there are some rides and attractions at the park too.
  21. Ah, FF.net feels even more like home now that Shanta's Google Earth posts have arrived. Thank you for taking the time to move this over here, Shan.
