  1. Note to self....stay away from Barb and Rick on March 20. :rofl2: Ohhhh-HANA!!!!!!
  2. All in all, even if the food was crappy I'd rather be eating there tonight than at home. Ya just can't beat Disney! :rofl2:
  3. American Heritage is a nice campground that makes a good base camp for exploring the Williamsburg area. It's not really a "destination" campground, although it has a nice pool and the sites are all clean and well maintained. But they are fairly close together. We've stayed here twice and enjoyed both visits.
  4. This is a great, small campground. Owned by a wonderful family. We enjoyed our visit here, despite the cold rainy weather. Creek behind our site:
  5. Also known as Little River Village Campground. Riverfront site with deck; sites are small but nice. View from our campsite:
  6. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to stay on 400. The whole damn loop was tainted for me after the invasion of King Jackwagon.
  7. Alright!!! :wave1: So glad you are here. Welcome to the party!!!  :partythree: :thewave1: :thewave1:
  8. Wow! It's like a tent with slides! :wiz: Congratulations!
  9. Very cool, H. Thank you for sharing.
  10. Hey Rob, here is a link to what we rented. I'll tell you, we really liked the house but it wasn't the best house available. But, we wanted to bring our dogs and this one was pet friendly. And considering they allowed pets, it was very clean. All tile floors helped a lot. If you don't have pets, there are probably some better ones available on the VRBO.com site. you can do a search.
  11. Would you be willing to share the name of the internet dealer? I keep hoping to find a good deal on a Tiffen Phaeton. Do they take trade-ins? Hey Holly, it was Holman RV in Cincinnati. I don't think they deal in Tiffins...in fact they mostly deal in TT's and Fivers AFAIK. I think they take trades, but not sure. Lazy Days in Florida seem pretty hard to beat with Tiffin prices. have you checked them out?
  12. Hey Rob, we rented a house on or last trip too. It was awesome! Paid about the same as Amanda. Having the private pool was awesome. Ours was 4 bedroom and 3 bath. There are a ton of houses to choose from. I could get you a link if you are interested.
  13. As Bob noted above, we recently bought our new TT at the Nashville RV show. I had already decided which unit/floorplan we were after, and went to the show prepared to buy if they happened to have that floorplan on display, which they did. I had negotiated a price with one of the large "internet" dealers ahead of time, which was a pretty much "unbeatable" price by any of the dealers within a few hours of me. I would have been willing to drive the 5-6 hours to buy at that price, and told the salesman at the show that much. I did not disclose the price I had been given by the other dealer, bu
  14. Welcome Bob!! Glad you found us. We left the light on for you.
  15. Since I've only had my Outback for a week I can't speak too much from experience yet. But so far most everything seems pretty well put together. The only thing I'm concerned about is that you mentioned they looked at a Loft. Wasn't there somebody over on voldemort that had a Loft...and then sold it within a year because they ended up finding it impractical? I wish I could remember who it was or whether they are over here now. It could very well be just a personal preference of theirs; when I looked at the Loft at the RV show a few years ago I thought it was awesome. But it might be worth
  16. In college we used to just take them out and leave 'em on the table. Or the floor. :)
  17. I don't doubt they make a great tow vehicle. I think the thing is that here in the States, they are considered a luxury vehicle and typically owned by the type of person that wouldn't be caught dead in a trailer. :-[ You'd be more likely to see them parked outside the JW Marriott. :) But man, it makes for a great looking setup!
  18. I can't answer your question, but I can tell you that the GG Dining Experience does not include O'hana. Ain't nobody wanting to gather with you after eating at that place. :rofl2:
  19. I like 500, especially the sites backing up to the canal. They are large sites (not all 500 sites are) and I can just stand at the back of my site and fish. Quick walk to the Settlement, not far from Meadows, has a nice Comfort Station......man, I wish I was there now.
  20. Really enjoying your TR! More? :rofl2:
  21. I apologize if this has been posted already today...but Screamscape is reporting the following: New Disney DVC Resort Hotel - Rumor - (2/14/11) According to one of our readers, new survey markers were spotted in the Fort Wilderness area along the ?nature trails near the marina? and near the Settlement Trading Post. Could this be more signs of forward traction on that proposed new DVC Resort? Can anyone at the Fort now confirm whether there is any new activity in the area? There have been survey markers around that location for some time, so it's possible I guess that this is not really a vali
  22. Am I the only one that saw the announcment on Mickey's Backyard BBQ being closed for an extensive remodeling? It is scheduled to reopen in the fall as Mickey's Backyard Massage Parlor and Casino. Why am I the only one that knows this? :)
  23. Great pics! I'm fascinated by the use of a Land Rover as tow vehicle. I'm not sure I've ever seen one used to tow a travel trailer here.
