Just as an FYI Travel Agents received an email today. The only part of this I can share is that they are not taking any additional reservations for June. They are accepting reservations with start dates of July 1 or later.

Found this late last night with regards to Shanghai Disney Resort. Does not appear to be coming from an official source but I don't speak Chinese. However I think it originally did come from one with some of the footage they have. It does have English subtitles.

One thing I wanted to note. Disneyland has moved to accepting reservations starting July 1. I do admit though I don't sell as much DLR and wasnt tracking where the reservation point was prior to this change.

I expect that will be the case with a lot of restaurants here as well.  Some weren't able to adapt to doing a good enough takeout/delivery business to keep that going and temporarily closed.  I expect those places may attempt the limited opening - although I don't know how well that will go and I expect some of them just won't make it sadly. It's another case of not just throwing the doors open when you're "allowed to".  Even those restaurants doing ok with takeout have learned they have to change SOP.  For many that means changing up their menus, usually whittling them down to the most popular items only, and some have taken on doing the delivery themselves instead of relying on the delivery services that take a (sometimes sizable) cut.

It took our local favorite restaurant (who has a handful of places throughout the state) a few weeks to figure out how to make it work for them but they are doing a decent business now. Their owner said he's not inclined to partially open until we're at a point that it's profitable - which isn't just how many people are *allowed* inside, but how many people will actually show up. We've done some takeout over the past couple of months, probably about as much as we did normally, but while we miss dining out, neither of us are anxious to go sit in a dining room now and won't likely be for some time until we see how all this "opening up" shakes out.
That makes sense. The festival was scheduled to end June 1 anyway, and it seems super unlikely we'll see parks open before that at this point.

Somehow I don't think this guy is either.   But something, actually quite a few things, in this story just don't add up -
    https://www.foxnews.com/us/disney-world-trespass-suspect-viewed-discovery-island-as-tropical-paradise-authorities-say

"A man arrested at Disney World in Florida last week for attempting to quarantine from the coronavirus on Discovery Island viewed the small park-owned island as a "tropical paradise," authorities say."

So he somehow knew the island was there and was a "tropical paradise" but didn't know that it's WDW private property and has been for more than 50 years?

"A Disney security representative said she asked the agency to press charges after she saw McGuire using a company boat to get to the island."

Do they leave the keys in all the boats? And supposedly they caught him sleeping in a building and he'd been out there for a couple/few days, but Disney security saw him take the boat out there. So they waited a day or two before bothering to investigate?

    And then there's this...
"Suspect Richard McGuire, 42, told Orange County Sheriff's deputies he had been on the island since Monday or Tuesday and had planned to camp there for a week"

Um... he doesn't know if he got there Monday or Tuesday?

As our Snarky leader frequently says, things that make you go hmmmm.....

It can be hard to imagine and accept it, but the Disneyland Resort has now officially been closed for more than an entire month. The gates remain locked, construction is at a standstill, and the streets are empty. But how does the park look after being closed for so long? Well, we found a video to answer just that.
YouTuber @JustinScarred took it upon himself to stop by the Happiest Place on Earth during a leisurely stroll around Anaheim, and he decided to document his adventure for all of the Disney fans to see.

Grandma and I just got back from a ride, stayed in the car, and construction continues at the new College Program Dorms, the garage (or whaever it is ) at Fantasia Golf and several other sites that we could see.  One day next week we will drive over by DHS and see if there is still activity at the new Resort.

There's a few Memes floating around out there.

One is When quarantine ends I'm either going to be a gourmet cook, or a drunk.
Another good one shows a before and after quarantine Thor from most of the movies lean and mean, then shows him plump and fluffy when he was pitying himself in that remote village.
Lets get some good recipes posted in here.
Either Disney, , just favorites, fun for kids ones or great camping ones in expectation  of the Forts reopening!

    Mickey Beignets

    Ingredients
3/4 Cup Lukewarm Water 1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar 1/2 Envelope Active Dry Yeast 1 Egg 1/2 tsp Salt 1/2 Cup Evaporated Milk 3 1/2 Cups Flour 2 Tbsp Shortening Nonstick Spray 4 Cups Oil for Frying 1/2 Cup Confectioners’ Sugar Berry Jam Instructions
Add Lukewarm Water, Granulated Sugar, and Dry Yeast to a bowl. Stir to combine and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl combine Evaporated Milk, Salt, and 1 beaten egg. Your yeast should now be activated & foamy. Add in milk mixture. Add Flour and Shortening to mixture and combine. Once dough forms a ball, put on a floured surface and knead well. Grease a bowl and place well kneaded dough inside. Cover with a towel and let sit for 2 hours. After 2 hours, it should be double in size. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick. Use a Mickey cookie cutter to punch out dough. Heat Frying Oil to 350 degrees and get a wire rack ready. Fry Beignets about 1-2 minutes per side. Allow them to cool for 5 minutes. Dust with Confectioners’ Sugar or place Beignets with Confectioners’ Sugar in a paper bag and shake. Add a side of jam and dig in! Other Flavors of Mickey Beignets

I've stopped clicking on any of them.
    Because this exactly.
Seems unlikely.  It may run its course, similar to the regular flu virus, and then peter out,  but like the regular flu, it could resurface next "season".
That's why they're saying that while a vaccine is unlikely to be ready in time for what's happening now, it will seriously help when this thing raises its ugly head next time.
