  1. That list is hysterical. Can't wait to find out what happens, especially with your reluctant husband. I've got one of those too.
  2. Great update! Lots to comment on! I've never seen that CM with the bird, but I do love the street performers at HS. It's my favorite park to just kill a little time in, thanks to those guys. I totally agree that the 4th FP+ is a scam. Even when I went right at park opening at HS to try to run the FP+ hack with extra MBs, all the rides that you actually need a FP for were either all sold out or the return times were for late that evening. Just not workable for us at all. My dad would totally wear one of those Paul Revere hats with all the pins if he had one. Not that I would approve,
  3. Thanks, Andrew. Sentiments like that really help. Especially coming from someone who has dealt with this exact issue so recently! Thanks! And thanks for reading! The more I do tent camping, the more I am enjoying it. Now Ray, he seems to be another story. I'm still working on him about that.... Thanks for reading! No kidding. This was a good reminder of that. All I can say about that is :dropjaw:!!
  4. Thanks! It was fun reliving Ghostbusters with you! "We came, we saw, we kicked its ***!" (Expletive removed to keep it PG friendly.) The camping trip was to Oak Mountain State Park, right outside Birmingham. We have tent camped from the car there before, but this was our first time to carry everything in with us. But we wound up with a campsite that was less than a mile from where we parked, so it wasn't bad at all. Don't know what kind of moth it was, but Patrick loved it. And yes, Abby is a definite keeper. She runs with me on when it's not too hot for her. She's pretty bad w
  5. Awesome report, as always! And can't wait for the bonus features! :)
  6. Finally – the last entry of this report. We had an early flight out, so we were up and out of OKW without getting to play in the parks any. Everything went fine – easy trip to the airport, on time flight, etc., until the event. The funny thing about the event is that no one saw it except me. And Patrick, who was of course the offender. So, we were going through security. Danielle went through first, then Patrick, then me, and then Ray. Danielle made it through with no problem. While she was waiting on her carry-ons to go through, Patrick entered that new type of scanner. When he wa
  7. I know about those last days. Always hate to see them coming! Dang. My lack of attention to what pieces of chicken were in that bucket bit me on the butt. It was really great to meet y'all. I'm so glad it worked out. The walk back really wasn't too bad. Certainly not as bad as some of those runs. Like Kelly noticed: Truth. But it's fun anyway. You're right about Patrick's parents! They gave us an awesome night that Friday. You're right about the TCD girls, or at least about Twin #1. Very sweet girl. I'm pretty sure the other two are too - I just haven't gotten to
  8. Such a cool night to be at the Fort! And add me to the list of those who thinks you did right for the girls when the third guy showed up trying to make y'all move.
  9. That's a big twinkie! I know - after all these years and he wouldn't even share one chicken leg. Mean, that TCD is. Either that, or he may have offered several times to share but I had already promise I'd wait and eat with Ray back at OKW for our last night. I'll let y'all make up your own minds.
  10. By the time the day started on Saturday, I just had a slight sadness over me. I always hate the day before leaving – it always comes around too soon! But, I was definitely glad for one more day to play and have fun in our happy place. Instead of picking up breakfast from the CS window today, I went to the OKW store and got some bacon to go with the 11 eggs we still had left. It definitely was a savings to do that instead of buy 4 full breakfasts, but $6.00 for this package of bacon was still slightly shocking: But, it sure cooked up good! And, almost all of the scrambled eggs got e
  11. WOW! about those women. I am very impressed that you were able to maintain (or at least regain) your composure after that encounter. I would have had a hard time recovering from that. Great pictures from this morning so far. Your daughter is just adorable. Especially love the Splash pic. :waycool:
  12. Love it. Haven't seen that movie in a long time, but that line sticks with you! Killing me. You're killing me. Keep working on DH. It's definitely worth going. The seats vary by a pretty good bit in price, but I honestly don't think there would be a bad seat in the house. Too funny! You should go for it. Every Cirque show I've ever seen has been great. Usually pretty weird in places, but still really great. I think about 1 1/2 hours, but maybe a bit longer. With the crowds and how far we had to walk, it took us till almost 8:30 to get to dinner. Eat yo pie.
  13. Ghostbusters. One of the best movies ever. It started with the arranged hula hoops outside Trail's End with a quote that actually made some sense for that picture, but then took on a life of its own.
  14. After lots of fun shopping and trudging from one end of DTD to the other, and then part of the way back to Claire’s car, we headed back home and got ready for our big night out – La Nouba! I’ve never been able to bring myself to spend the extra money for tickets before, but Patrick’s parents graciously treated us to the show. So off we went! I got these taken before they announced that photography wasn’t allowed. (And by the way, they mean it about no pictures – they walked around throughout the show and made people put up their cameras or phones if they brought them out.)
  15. And as we always do in HS, we had lunch at Sci-Fi. And as we always do, we loved it. So, who knows who these guys are? They were pretty fun. For a little bit, Danielle and I were waiting on Ray and Patrick while they rode RNRC and got to watch some fun street performers, one of the best things about HS. Portrait time: Then it started to snow! 90 degrees and snowing! Finally, after buying Danielle one of these: it was time to go. When we got back to OKW, Danielle and I caught the very reliably-timed boat to DTD (as opposed to busses, which
  16. Generally you don't see that kind of behavior in a major appliance. I'm a sucker for magic shots, but I really like that one. Jason! You're one of us! Yay! Somebody saw a cockroach up on twelve. I looked at the trap, Ray. I'm quite certain that he shouldn't have been doing that, but the people that worked there came by many times and never said anything. When he heard someone coming, he would play dead/asleep until they passed. One time someone stopped and just stood there for a sec, but then they went on. It was really ridiculous but it was fun.
  17. I'm in! Looking forward to it! Glad y'all made it on the road after only a brief turnaround for those Magic Bands! On another note, I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Aaron rocks.
  18. Awesome report. Loved seeing and hearing about everything. Thanks!
  19. First, this is an awesome report. I have to confess that I wasn't able to really follow the party/concert/fireworks excitement in real time on FF.net, so this is pretty much all new to me. So cool that you were there. Second, this is wins the best photobomb award:
  20. Ray and I love Biergarten. My girls - not so much. The official decision has been made that they aren't invited next time we go. But Ray and I do love the food, music, ambiance, sharing tables, the whole ball of wax. Great report!
  21. Definitely! Bring your wallet. :) It's always Dave's fault, isn't it? You are! You can use your new AP! Totally worth it.
  22. I love the BLT - both the resort and the sandwich! So I'm definitely in! Y'all be careful traveling and report in when you can.
  23. Friday morning, we woke up to some feathered friends in the yard. After breakfast that I think I took out from the CS spot by the pool, we headed to HS. As soon as we got there, I tried the TCD FP+ of having several extra Magic Bands (with no tickets attached) in hand and checking with a CM about getting some FP+ reservations for that day. The hack would have worked perfectly, in that the CM was going to give us FP for anything we wanted on them, but there was nothing available for any attractions we wanted during the time we anticipated being at the park. So, while it didn’t actual
