  1. Nothing changed for the remaining 9 minutes of that video, except for someone dropping the flag.
  2. the new name: The Voyage of the Little Mermaid; FROZEN forever - Elsa's Revenge.
  3. Well the flag waving show gives you Italians in tights.
  4. I just watched the whole video on that page. I am speechless. I kept waiting for something to happen, hoping for some fire. Nothing did. Embarassing. At least I'll have more time to watch the lumberjacks.
  5. I agree, especially, why not eat at Trails End. When we were at the Grand last New Years Eve, the restaurant was only half full. We asked the server and she said they get a lot of "parkers"; people who pay the $10 to park. However, she said a lot of people make the reservation for the number of people in their party and don't realize the $10 charge is per person. The server still doesn't like it since it really cuts in on their tips since they don't get many walk ups on a night like New Years. People assume they are booked, and any walkups have to be told they are booked until they can co
  6. The notice specifically states that two cars are permitted, but not if a tire is on the dirt.
  7. I am in the presence of greatness! Hail St Lou! :D
  8. Yesterday we got home from a 3 night stay at the Fort for a long weekend. We had a great time, but just need to vent a bit. We were in the 200 loop and everything was normal as in the past, kids flying around in golf carts, plenty of pets in the non-pet loop and not cleaning up since there are no pet bag dispensers (loop 200), people adding extra tents for guests for the weekend, etc. That's fine, I've gotten used to that. Saturday, our daughter and son in law drive over for my wife's birthday. After opening gifts and stuff, we head over to Epcot and had a great dinner at the Garden Gr
  9. Last Friday, our daughter and son in law stopped by to visit us at the Fort. We figured we'd try Captain Cooke's for dinner so we headed over, and then walked to the Grand to watch the fireworks. We also figured that the Poly wouldn't be good for viewing due to construction, but during our walk we saw that the area near the Luau was clear and provided a great view. But I am sure with the viewing areas more limited, the crowds will be even bigger in the areas that still provide a view. I would recommend either the Grand Floridian or as an alternate, the Contemporary out near the road (near
  10. Lou's right, especially for New Years Eve. However, we spent this past weekend at the Fort (Thursday - Sunday) and was shocked at how packed the Outpost lot was. They had cars parked on the grass along the roads leading the to lot exit and started parking the RV's in the grass lot near the gates for the busses. When I use the Fort's amenities I am staying there, and if I am parking there, I am either eating there or shopping. The freeloading is starting to really get out of hand, so it wouldn't surpise me to see them get evn more strict. We actually saw people get off the bus in their bat
  11. Both Walmarts on Rt 27 in Clermont prohibit overnight parking due to county law. They used to allow it, but in the winter, we would have trouble driving the lot to get to a spot to park our car due to so many RVs parking there longer term. Unfortunately, it was abused enough that the law was enacted. Didn't bother me at the time since I live near there, but in the big picture it really spolied it for a lot of people who just needed a place to stop for a rest.
  12. Used Flying J/Pilot overnight on our trip from Florida to Arizona/Utah. They worked great as did the Interstate rest stops. As someone said above, RVParky is a great app. Very useful.
  13. Fairly recent change, so just claim a mulligan on that! :) No matter what, Lou will still consider you a knucklehead or schmuckface.
  14. All reservations now require the credit card and have the cancellation penalty. My last reservation for Trails End had it. Given the fact it is New Years Eve, I think the best bet would be to park at a resort such as Port Orleans Riverside, take a bus to a destination (such as Studios) and then take a bus to the Grand. That is the best place in my opinion for New Years. They have music in the lobby, alternating between the piano and the band, great decorations, drinks available (for a fee of course), and the balloon drop at midnight if you choose to stay inside, or a great view of the fir
  15. Your enthusiasm is infectious. I can't wait to get over there and see it.
  16. That is definitely not normal. Check-in does start at 1PM. We've stays at the fort many tomes and never had that issue. We are here right now and check in was normal, checking in at 12:45.
  17. OK, here is the last group of pictures: Canyonlands National Park
  18. Thanks. We've be hoping this would happen eventually. By the time we get in the parks, we are able to get fastpasses to eliminate the LONG lines such as Journey into Imagination, Spaceship Earth and Finding Nemo.
  19. I agree with this. Ours is a Dometic that is china instead of glass. It is also taller, which is a help since the bathroom is small. It has the foot pedal as well. No sprayer though, although I can see where that cold be a nice thing to have. Our only complaint is the fact that if I don't get all of the air out of the water line before flushing it, it tends to spray water beyond the toilet when the air makes it through. We have that procedure down now, so no issue. Other than that, it works well.
  20. Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons are both great locations. Between the land features and the wildlife, you'll never forget Yellowstone.
  21. This is definitely one not to be missed. We took our daughter when she was around 11, and to this day she still says how glad she is that she was there, and wants to go back with her husband.
  22. Forgot about Canyon de Chelly. When we drove from the Grand Canyon to Moab, UT last month. we drove through Monument Valley. That is amazing.
