  1. The sway and bounce control of this hitch is superior to others. It does distribute weight. In my case, my trailer is light, and no problem for my Ram. It does distribute the weight but I don't need much. It is very easy to set up and hooking up is a breeze, and it is light. If your tow vehicle squats a lot under the tongue weight of your trailer, this wouldn't be for you; get an Equalizer or similar design. The durability is excellent. I have about 6000 miles on mine and it is still like new. There is a lifetime warranty though.
  2. I use that Andersen hitch. It was terrific on the trip from Florida to Arizona and Utah. Its strengths are sway control and bounce control. If you have large weight distribution needs, it may not be the best, but for us it is terrific.
  3. Yesterday (1/2) they posted signs on the comfort station doors (in the 200 loop), stating that as of January 5th, ONLY Magic bands will work at the comfort stations, but the card is still required to get your vehicle through the gate at the Outpost. The sign instructed people to go to concierge and obtain a magic band if they did not have one.
  4. As stated above, stick with a premium site. We just got back today from a week in site 229, and that one, like many in the preferred loops, can be a bit tight due to the fact the road itself is narrow. In that loop, it is often more of an issue of not hitting something with the front of the vehicle than not having room backing into the site.
  5. We were in Magic Kingdom today. We entered around 2:30 and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. We got a nice spot up at the train station to watch the 3:30 running of the Christmas parade. We then rode the train and walked down main street before adding back to the fort. The worst part is the boat transportation. It took about an hour to get back to the fort. Only two of the larger boats were running and they were going to both Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness.
  6. Wasn't there a post a while back of someone getting a great price at the Car Care Center? I remember that since I would never have thought of them.
  7. Sunset Blvd was added a few years after the opening of Studios, including the Tower of Terror. Rock n Roller Coaster was added later than that.
  8. On the 100 and 200 loops, try to stick to outside sites. The only one to avoid in the 200 loop would be 236, which is next to the basketball court. Not a bad site, but may be a bit noisy or have basketballs rolling in. In the 100 loop, the sites near the walkway towards the Settlement Store may get a lot of walking traffic if that is a problem.
  9. I would stick with a premium loop. The preferred loops, especially 100 and 200 can be really tight, especially when backing into some of them. I can't imagine getting a rig the size of yours into one of those loops.
  10. A little far away, but cheap is Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, north on Rt 27 (from the intersection with 192). Nice campground with water and electric hookup and a dump station. I just checked and there is availability but the few full hookup sites are reserved. We've stayed there and it is a nice campground. RESERVATIONS HERE
  11. Sure doesn't seem like it has peaked. The back room at the Christmas Store in DTD is now all Frozen merchandise. The Disney Christmas Parade has been renamed, for this year at least, to Disney's Frozen Christmas Parade.
  12. True, when I have had a Magic Band, they scan that. However this was the first time, without a Magic Band, that they actually checked the list for reservations like they do at the Contemporary. Normally, at Fort Wilderness they just take your word for it and wave you in.
  13. Agree 100%, especially regarding Anna's voice! Love the hashtag. :)
  14. On Friday (11/14), we had breakfast reservations at Trails End. I pulled in, expecting the normal procedure of telling them I had a reservation and them just waving me in. I was pleasantly surprised that the guard took my name and checked it on the list of reservations. They also had the normal sign up about restricted parking, but was glad to see they actually checked for the reservation this time. Hopefully they are starting to crack down a bit, although who knows if they will be consistent on this. Even though I live in the area, I cannot stand seeing people doing exactly what you sta
  15. In the Sentinel today: CLICK HERE Not much of an article, but still interesting this appeared on the front page of today's Sentinel. I was at the Christmas Party last night and during the lighting ceremony there were quite a few people chanting "Just Say No" instead of "Ice and Snow" when the crowd was supposed to be trying to convince Elsa to put ice on the castle. Personally, I was hoping Cinderella would have come out and had them arrested for vandalism.
  16. The CR cast members and the full time ones also fall under the point system. Points are given for call ins, no shows, late arrivals, leaving early, etc.
  17. What you have (i.e. Class A, TT, 5th wheel): TT, Camplite 21BHS If you're towing (so TT or 5th wheel) how heavy is it: typically about 4500 lbs If you tow, what is your tow vehicle: 2009 Ram 1500 Gas mileage: 11.5 MPG towing (21MPG Highway not towing, 15 city) Do you like it, love it or hate it (this applies to both the tow vehicle and what you're towing (or driving if Class A or C): Love it If you'd like to make a change, change to what and why: No change in the near future. When time to replace the truck, wouldn't mind the Ram 1500 with the V-6 Diesel for improved mileage.
  18. Remember, lock your doors, pull down the shades, and do NOT answer any knocks. :D
  19. Where is the new RV dealer off of I-4 near Camping World? Closest one I know of is RV World in Lakeland, but they've been around for years.
  20. After seeing the Frozen Sing Along for the first time yesterday, I'm speechless. I'd rather watch that new Morocco act. I can't imagine paying extra money for that as well as the other items included in the package. This is all really starting to lose any appeal.
  21. I think there were mosquitoes, yeah, that's it. Or it was a secret signal to Lou.
