  1. If it is just between Friday and Saturday, I'd go early on friday. It will get more crowded in the evening as people get off of work, but Saturday will be more crowded all day. As suggested above, if you can get in at a reasonable time on Thursday, go for it. There won't be a Flower Power concert though. That weekend is the Lovin Spoonful. They were terrific the last time they were here. The concerts will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Click here for the concert lineup
  2. Yes. The day of the fire I saw trucks pulling into Wilderness Lodge, and I assume heading down the road leading to Fort Wilderness. I figured they came from the station near the Grand.
  3. Normally, we use the preferred sites, but one time we stayed in the 1100 loop (1122 to be exact) and it was very nice and also quiet. There is a Fort Fiends phone app that will give you pictures of the sites themselves as well as dimensions.
  4. One return on that investment is efficiency. During their quarterly conference call, Bob Iger stated they were able to have more people in the Magic Kingdom due to the efficiency of the system. Not sure exactly where they gain efficiency, at least in regards to FastPass+. Another advantage is reduced maintenance. They no longer have the moving parts and card readers associated with the turnstiles and the old Fastpass machines. I think the RFID technology and even the wrist bands is fine; but the implementation is awful. I wonder how much money they are spending on everything they send
  5. The FP+ seems to be a solution to a non-problem. On Friday, my wife and I headed to Epcot to have lunch at France. We decided to stop and get some fast passes. It was our first encounter with the new system. The two category rule is nuts. We chose Soarin from the first group, and then we had to choose 2 from the second category, none of which ever need a fast pass. So, we chose Spaceship Earth and Living With the Land. At the land, they didn't even have the fastpass system on since that ride was a walk on. At Spaceship Earth it may have saved us 3 minutes, if that. The scanner syste
  6. Unrelated, but how did everybody fare with those storms last night? I live in Clermont, and it was pretty bad here. Was hoping for no hail since my camper is sitting outside, as well as my truck.
  7. I think I followed you on my way to work one morning. :clint:
  8. Franck's is the building near the Chapel where you meet with the wedding planners.
  9. Let me re-phrase that. If the options are carefully chosen, the price can be kept in line with other venues available in the area. Now as far as if I think weddings are becoming overly expensive in general, THAT'S a different story. :rofl3: But, my daughter's wedding, which will be really nice, is about what it would cost elsewhere. She didn't pick Cinderella's coach, Mickey Mouse at the reception, etc. The reception is at Atlantic Dance Hall so the need to decorate is minimized, etc.
  10. That's part of the line to Hollywood Studios that goes through the Dolphin Hotel.
  11. Interesting. Their URL must have expired with Centurylink (my Internet provider). I tried using Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, and all I get is a listing of suggested links. Thanks for posting the article.
  12. You can stop in a Franck's next to the wedding chapel. They can give you some printed info. My daughter gets married there on April 6th. It does not have to be as expensive as people think.
  13. They are making room for the huge River Country DVC sign.
  14. As of now, (2:41PM) I'm not getting anything from that web site except their header and related links.
  15. Good thought. I was wondering what facilities related factor could be an issue and I never thought of that.
  16. Just noticed on the Good Sam's web site that the rating for Fort Wilderness is now 9.5/10/10. Still a great rating but for the first time I remember they no longer are on the 10/10/10 list. www.goodsamclub.com/travel/campgroundsandrvparks/generalinfo.aspx?cgid=810000368
  17. That is a welcomed improvement, especially when it is busy there in the evening.
  18. I'm wondering if the plans for the parking lot have at least been changed, even if the whole project is still a go. If that whole Settlement area designated as a parking lot was to be torn down in the somewhat near future, I wouldn't have expected the roof replacement on the horse barn. Roof repair possibly, but the entire roof was replaced. Of course, sometimes one hunk of budgeted money doesn't know what the other hunk of budgeted money is doing.
  19. If your truck is otherwise in good shape, check this out for only $94.99: http://www.dashcover.com/dodgeramdash.html
  20. Yes, mine is a 4 door. I don't have the center console, so I can fit 6 if I needed to. I really didn't think the picture of the new interior bothered you, but also didn't want to make it appear like I was rubbing it in. The 2009's and up really have a nice interior, and as a tow vehicle it is excellent.
  21. My 09 does not have the center console. You could get it without that. Not sure about the 14's though. The consoles are huge though, but when in one, for me anyway, they weren't an issue. I'm 6'2", and fit with plenty of room.
  22. Sorry, didn't think about it that way. :bfart: Trying to provide a bit of evidence that the condition of the dash is not indicative of how long your truck will last, nor is it an indication of the quality of Rams now. :)
  23. i would assume that under the dash area is a metal frame, so I doubt an aftermarket cap would cause an issue. It may increase the detoriation of the existing dash though, so it would really depend on how much of the old dash it covers, and how much it depends on that dash for support. To illustrate my point about the improved interiors post Daimler, compare your interior to the current Ram interior:
