A solo day at Disneyland. (California Adventire)

Recommended Posts

Well I wasn't going to do a TR until I knew for sure if ill be going to Disneyland tomorrow or not.

But it looks like I will be.

Quick back story.

DS is graduating from BMW's advance training in Ontario California this Friday and DW, and DD are not going to be able to make it because of work and school. My DS found out yesterday that he does have class Thursday. He wasn't sure but the instructor told the class last night that would definitely be having class Thursday. So what am I going to do. You guessed it...

I'm going to Disneyland.!

(Actual I'm going to California Adventure.)

It might be a rope drop to 6:00 pm trip or an afternoon 4-5 hour trip. Depending on DS schedule Thursday.

I'm flying to Las Vegas, and picking up FIL's car. He goes to Vegas 5 or 6 times a year so he leaves it at his best friends house.

Free car! Winning!

I'll be driving to my mothers house in Barstow California when I land and spending a little quality

Mother/son time. My plan is to wake up at 5:00 am and drive to Disneyland. And hit rope drop or sleep in and drive to sons apartment and take him to lunch before his class. He will either be in class from about 8:00 am to 6:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. So we will see what happens. He won't know until tonights class.

So I now find myself sitting at DFW airport with an hour and 15 minutes to kill and I figured I could get a head start on this TR.

Here's a lovely picture of the sun rising over DFW airport.

Not even close to a Fort sunrise but it will have to do for now.

I'm really excited about the prospect of doing my first solo trip.

Who's with me? Let's go ride some rides most of us have never ridden. I.e. Radiator Springs Racers.

I'm with you, brother.

Great sunrise photo!

You're going to have a long day today. Drive safe.

Any ride that you ride in California Adventure will be one that I have never ridden. I've never been.

Have a great trip!

TCD

First in bragging rights. Yes it's going to be a long day. I got a little sleep on the plane.

I thought you would appreciate the sunrise.

You really need to plan a trip out to where it all began. Hopefully this TR will convince you to come check it out.

After leaving Dallas we flew over the Grand Canyon. I never get tired of seeing it.

After landing in Vegas I jumped in a cab and went to get my car. For a minute I thought the pilot took a wrong turn at Albuquerque and we ended up in New York City.

Then I turned around and I was in Disneyland.

I picked up my FILs car and headed out of Vegas. But before I left Nevada I had to stop for a quick bite and I had to drop a few coins in a few machines. Here's my ride for the next few days in front of the first casino you hit when you crossover from California. Or the last one you see when you leave Nevada. And guess what? It's another castle.

Ok let's get down the road and get to Barstow California. So I can see my mom.

Tell me this isn't the best Scrabble word ever? Only in California.

Finally made it to moms and we are sitting in her backyard enjoying the dry heat. She never smiles for pictures. It must be a German thing. Lol.

That's all for today. Tomorrow morning I'm hitting CA for my first ever solo trip.

I'll try to post a few live shots tomorrow.
