  1. Onward with the Troll Tribute to Walt Disney Parks' crowning achievement, Splash Mountain! When we last left off, we had just listened in to the boardroom discussion over building Splash Mountain, considering its theming and characters come straight from the lightning rod movie "Song of the South." But that's not the only way Splash Mountain breaks the Disney mold; Splash Mountain, in fact, breaks every paradigm ever cooked up by the Imagineers and the Disney bean counters. How? Well let's look at Disney's typical markers for designing a "good" ride: 1. The ride should be short. The shorter, t

  2. We rented a pontoon boat at the Fort. I believe 2 hours was 80 dollars or so. You can get a discount with your AP. It was nice! They tell you not to go into the area on the far right of Bay Lake if you are looking out from the dock because they do the water skiing there. Otherwise, you can go where you like. Pals

This is the first time I've included 2 puppies as part of my family. The light colored coat is a 6 month old schnauzer / Yorkshire terrier mix that we rescued from the KC area shelter. The other is a 2 month old schnauzer / poodle that originates from south central Missouri. As the picture shows, they are best friends. Their first trip to the Fort will be in December and I'm starting to think about the logistics of a multi K-9 living arrangement. For instance, what do most folks do we they head out to the parks? As we are seasoned vets of WDW, the days of commando all day visits are past.
