What being a Fiend is ALL ABOUT
BradyBzLyn...Mo and 3 others reacted to MandMandMandMandM for a topic
Being a sometimes single woman with some physical limitations, I would NEVER have gone camping alone. But with the Fiends I do it all the time. I know they're there to help me if I need it, they keep an eye on me, they oftentimes feed me (I hate cooking), they've become my shrinks, they're great marriage counselors, always there when you need them, they're entertaining, and they're simply kind and loving people. I'm closer to some of them than to members of my family. They ARE family to me! And I love them :heartsmiley:4 points -

I retract my mealy mouth little - oh the Fiends are wonderful because they helped us back in and left a note". Seems meaningless and silly after spending time reading about Anna's adoption story and how the Fiends supported Dave and his family. Not with the usual in the beginning getting caught in the emotion...but with ongoing, genuine support in a myriad of ways. Like many, I cried as I read and I do wish I had been in since the beginning. After reading about Anna, my DH said it best - "That's Kingdom work. A life lesson in what's really important." DH had tears in his eyes as well.1 point -

There sure are a lot of new informative & entertaining posts here every day. Mo's above was almost long enough to make me worry about losing my unofficial official longest post poster status. I should ramble a bit now just to be sure she doesn't get my title. Instead I've got to tel you about something that just happened. I opened this thread a few minutes ago to catch up, only to be interrupted by a phone call from a fiend on the other end of the country who was standing in a long line waiting to pick up an almost-impossible-to-get-rather-pricey-disney-treasure I only mentioned wanting he1 point -

I didn't save it as it was only a 5 minute sketch of Mickey, however, and for your review, I submit the following photo as evidence of my tremendous artistic skills. Sculpted in clay from scratch are the 7 dwarfs. Each being about 9 inches tall. Behind it is a 36 inch long animation cell of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs drawn and painted from scratch. I showed you my stuff, let's see yours.1 point -

Let's get into my new 72 passenger golf cart. 100 passengers if I have anything to say about it, and go looping. Or as 4Mickey2, aka Cheryl, recently called it, Looooou-ping. But we're not louping at the Fort, we'll be touring WDW to check out some of the subtle and not so subtle things that were done this past year. My oversized golf cart is actually one of the newer WDW buses complete with four, yup, four surveillance cameras. But not to worry if you're not looking your best, they're not watching you unless you attack me while I'm driving, which considering how I drive, is entirely possible1 point -

We leave the WWOS Resort Area. Up next, the Epcot Resort Area, the Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club, Beach Club, and the Boardwalk Inn. Except for the CBR, all of the Epcot resorts are on Epcot Resorts Blvd which enters and exits onto the same road. We'll hit the Swan and then the Dolphin. As we do we'll pass one of the two mini golf courses, Fantasia Gardens on the left. The S&D are generally overlooked by the Disney purists because they are non-Disney resorts., but IMO, they are every bit as good as the Disney resorts except at a lower price. Lots of very good restaurants, lounges, and great a1 point -

So now that we know, thanks to TCD, that the Wide World of Sports Resort Area is comprised of Pop Century and the Art of Animation resorts, lets head that way, but as we'll be going by the Caribbean Beach resort, let's stop in. The CB is actually an Epcot Resort Area resort and It's my favorite resort to drive through because it has a ton of stops and they're easy to pull in and out of. We'll go by the first stop, Martinique. The second stop is Port Royal which is where the CB food court and "Shutters" restaurant are located. I drop off a fair number of non CB guests there so it must be a pr1 point -

The Port Orleans resort, PO, is made up of two resorts, the Port Orleans Riverside resort, PORS, and the Port Orleans French Quarter resort, POFQ. Old Key West is OKW. Saratoga Springs is SS. Some add the letter R afterward which stands for RESORT, so Old Key West resort would be OKWR. I usually omit it, not always, for simplicity. Coming up next is CB, PC, and AOA, which stands for Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, and the Art of Animation resorts. As the closest boat dock to the Fort is the one at the Fort, I'm not clear on what you're asking.1 point -

I was wondering if you'd remember. I'm also a guest at WDW sometimes, so I know what you mean. Abosolutely, it'll be just like the bus ride in one of the Harry Potter movies. The turn signals on the WDW buses are not like those in your car. They are foot operated and only stay on if you forget to lift your foot off the floor buttons. Most of the PA mics are disabled by the automated system, but bus drivers are also forbidden from talking over the PA except when approaching the bus stop, traveling on a road with no turns, or if stopped. It's considered distracted driving. Every once in a wh1 point
