I agree with you, but not that there is more sites available, I wouldn't turn my nose up to this loop. A site at the Fort is generally better than a site elsewhere.

TCD, I'm  sorry you are so outraged  about the trees, and I dont have time or desire to write half of what you wrote to me but, of course I know that bay lake was there from the beginning.  There were once trees where the MK and parking lots are too, and I hope you are not still mourning their fate. If you want untouched prestine land, try a national park for a change.  I personally think they do a pretty good job of talking care of the nature that they maintain and OWN, and I recognize I have zero say in what they do with it, just like they have none with my land.   
If you dont like it, stop going or spending money there and realize some relationships run their course whether we want them to or not .

Change is hard to take, but I'm sure they will put in some trees from the tree farm that will look the part and not be damaged during the work. Don't forget all of Disney is man made, and for whatever reason we all like it so much, we feel we have some say in the operation, which we never will. 
Now, if they started clearing trees for sone more sites, we'd all be on board.

I want the new job at Disney... shooting down unauthorized drones!

Disney is now giving out Cutter mosquito spray to hotel guests at check in as part of their mosquito prevention program. They also have stations set up at Disney Springs and the parks for guests to give themselves a spray. I wonder if we will get the same treatment upon check in at The Fort?

I have nothing to add to the conversation, but find it amusing that someone with only 5 posts on the board has amassed a total negative respect score of -40.  Someone needs to kick back with a warm, ooey gooey Main Street Bakery cinnamon roll and chill.   

I think people are upset because:
1) Your first post on a board shouldn't be to complain.
2) You're threatening to make a stink about off-site rentals which will hurt lots of people... Not just Kenny.
I own my own now, so I don't rent from him, but I always had a good experience. I know he takes credit cards as payment, so why not just dispute the charge? If you never talked to him, how did you give the cart back? Just curious.

I would love to know the amount of people at the Fort on Halloween that are actual Disney guests compared to those who are "freeloaders". My guess is the freeloaders population is very small. There is no way to monitor any of these guest. Think of all the ways into the Fort, boat, bus, walking from the Lodge, etc, to monitor all of this for one night is too much. What I see happening is the Fort shutting the entire thing down, that would be the easiest solution. Sometimes complaints, good or bad, do not have the results we desire. 

Around here the public trick or treating events are advertised on the radio stations and as public Facebook events. I can't see how someone could confuse trick or treating at a Disney resort as a public event and share that information with a social group. I honestly think that is what most people are upset about.

We have been there for several Halloween nights.  Every one has been insane.
But, I'd go again if the dates worked out- freeloaders and all.
Disney always wins.

Of course there are simple ways to solve this problem.
So, why has the management not solved it?
Because it's not a problem for them. 
Freeloaders cost them nothing.
They only care about the bottom line.
That has been made abundantly clear.
If campers ever stopped coming for Halloween, they would take notice.
But, despite all of the bellyaching, and ever increasing campsite rates, there won't be an open campsite in the Fort.  There will be plenty of decorated campsites, and lots of decorated carts in the golf cart parade.
So nothing changes.
That Mommy Blogger ought to tell folks to bring extra buckets for the premium candy the suckers who pay for this will be passing out again this year.

This kind of begs the question, how many big bags of Halloween candy should I buy at Costco before we get to the Fort? I thought about sending the DW out in costume to trick or treat and use her loot to keep the bowl filled!
