Mickey Musket without his musket?
YodaGirl replied to GaDawgFan.....Kelly's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I thought they had to do away with musket Mickey due to PC, which is why he has a walking stick, now. Of course, the reason that Lou gave for Mickey to not carry around anything does seen pretty legit. -
Sites next to each other ?
YodaGirl replied to Dryadi's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
We tried that in 2006. The two sites were supposed to be side by side. When we got there, they were not. A not-so-happy CM did eventually move our sites (had to switch loops). So, while it can be done, from my experience, it's not a guarantee. -

Thanks for the info! We're arriving on 3/30. Can't wait! -
Trading post prices?
YodaGirl replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
That's actually less than I thought. We pay about $1-1.50 for a gallon at Rulers, but we've had to pay $7.00 at Thorntons before. -
Trails End Breakfast
YodaGirl replied to GaDawgFan.....Kelly's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Awesome! We've got a Disney Visa, but I didn't know about 10% off at TE. I will say that our waitress was VERY accommodating when we went in 2010. G was three, so we had to pay for her. She literally ate NOTHING. Our waitress let us box up what was on her plate. -
Fort 2013 Easter Activities
YodaGirl replied to YodaGirl's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Thanks! -
We're checking in the Saturday before Easter, so we should be able to take advantage of the Saturday and Sunday activities. Any idea as to what they'll have?
-
Just saw this link: I'm assuming it's pretty much the same thing every year?
-
What are some of the usual activities at the Fort during the weekend of Easter? I know that in the past, there have been some character visits...is that only for Sunday, or are they there on Saturday?

Hot Fun in the Summertime-TCD's August 2012 TR
YodaGirl replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Trip Reports
I'd love to be at the Fort this Halloween, but we're going to be at a local campground. Definitely should be at the Fort for Easter, though. Maybe even next fall break, as well, if we can swing it. I know what you mean about the Olympics and how quickly four years goes. My 1 & 5 yr olds will be 5 & 9. I can't even fathom that right now. I can't imagine them in their 20's, although in sure that will happen before I can blink. -

Nope. Mom was pretty disappointed.

Opry Mills is now open! We were there opening weekend. Sad that Alabama Grill didn't come back, but we had a great time!

Error Message: TCD's Spring Break 2012 Trip Report!
YodaGirl replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Trip Reports
I think I'm caught up! Well, I keep hitting next on my phone and it keeps returning me to the top of the page, so I'll take that as a hint. I had several things to comment on, but somewhere between feeding and bathing children, eating dinner, and enjoying percussion instruments with preschoolers at church, I've forgotten some things. Let's see what I do remember... Sorry about your Gators. Losing stinks. However, it made for a good UK/UofL game. So glad that we won that one. I'm surprised the state of Kentucky didn't blow up during that game. Hmm...insert comments on various things that I -
Baby/Young Toddler Pop-Up Sleeping Arrangements
YodaGirl replied to YodaGirl's topic in Camping for Kids
I never thought about doing that. Awesome idea, guys! Thank you! -
Where does your baby/young toddler sleep in your pop-up or camper? We had originally thought of using a pack n play, but there just isn't enough room. We could always co-sleep, but that won't make for very restful nights for me. We have a king, a queen, and a dinette that folds to an approximate twin. We have another dinette/u-shaped couch that we could fold down if need be. He's still crib age 8 months old yesterday), so I'm afraid of him falling out of bed or even being mobile while we're still asleep. I have seen a zip-up kid cot (can't remember the brand) that's good for up to 3 years o

1. No. You can get take-out from Trail's End (love their Giddyap and Go) - not sure on the time it's available, as well as take-out from the Meadow Pool. Roaring Forks, at the Wilderness Lodge, is just a boat-ride away, however. 2. Yes, you can get it. It's debateable as to whether it's worth it. You'll hear various opinions either way. 3. Yes. You can use it at Trail's End, the Meadow pool, or the Meadow Trading Post, I believe. Depending on how often you use it, depends on whether it is worth it. DH got his money's worth; I did not. 4. Boat. 5. You can rent one from the Fort's ma
