  1. I could have my kids sit just below it with pics of Nemo and pals on long sticks, and keep moving them in front of the frame to give it animation. :rofl2: They need to earn their keep, those crazy kids!
  2. I think I need a virtual porthole for my office. The main part of my office itself has windows, but I removed the double doors and converted the giant closet into a second sitting area. No windows in here, obviously. I've decided I need a virtual porthole! (And then Lorna needs to come decorate it.)
  3. I didn't realize she was yours! What a face! What type of pig is she?
  4. My son used to LOVE Ramen -- ate it probably close to every day. Then someone (Rog maybe?) mentioned that even the "vegetable" flavored Ramen has some kind of animal product in it, and my kiddo (vege-free-range-arian) dropped them cold. Which was a big bummer, because you're right -- they were super-cheap and easy!
  5. Glad to hear there are safety precautions to take. I'm way too neurotic to use a generator -- I guess I'll just freeze/sweat/forgo electricity if I'm ever in that situation! It's so amazingly sad when this stuff happens.
  6. I drove with my son when he was 9mo from NC to Disney. I tried to skip his nap during the day, and left around 3pm or so. He did great, fell asleep for much of the drive. But when I checked in to All-Stars (around 1am), he woke up and was rarin' to go. I was exhausted and he just had no plans to sleep, kept chattering away and keeping me up, lol. With two adults, it might be easier, but I'd definitely plan on maximizing the potential for the baby sleeping during the trip. I'm usually the only adult traveling with the kids -- while towing the camper -- and have done it since the kids were infa
  7. You're doing a great job! Your room looks big, too -- I'm really impressed by all these photos of the boat. Looks gorgeous.
  8. I don't have/use a generator, but I know many here do. Just saw this story about a tragedy in Tennessee where several people died, presumably because of their generator. Really heartbreaking. Just wanted to remind everyone to please stay safe during your travels!
  9. This was fantastic! I agree with Carol; it's so cool seeing everyone's different perspective/experience on the same cruise. Loved it, loved it.
  10. Great picture! As for the food/beverage situation, "free," unlimited soda would be enough incentive for my kids to want to go!
  11. Fantastic! Loved all the photos -- and Castaway Cay looks gorgeous.
  12. Good questions -- I'd love to know, too! Fantastic TR. The photos are amazing! I'm also amazed at the size of the ship. I knew they were big, but I couldn't picture just HOW big until compared to cars and such. So cool that they recorded the departure. I was in such a hurry to race up to the computer that day and watch that I crammed my chicken curry in so fast I *still* have heartburn, lol. Good to watch it at a more leisurely pace.
  13. I love that they turned off the song -- can you imagine being stuck on, oh, say, Small World with the endless looping music? ...kinda ironic this posted twice!

  15. Deal! Uh...although my contribution may be something like this(cut to about 1:15). Interesting observation on The White Room. I always felt uneasy there, and now I know why...
  16. Isn't that the way it goes -- something crazy always comes up right before vacation. Sounds like you definitely earned your break! That's some view from your hotel window. Can't wait for more!
  17. Hey, we don't have the We Camp Here app (...yet), so I'd say we're the ones missing out! Great photo! Looks like a promo pic. Ready for it!
  18. Late catching up on your TR, but definitely happy I finally did! Great, great trip. I completely agree 100% on the bike riding at the Fort. That's how my guys and I spend many, many happy hours (if you remember from Stone Mountain, we usually end up spending more time on the bikes than on foot!). So sweet to see your boys as best buddies! That's adorable, and brings back memories of my guys at those ages. Too cute! Good news is, it should last, too. And yep, while the days of carrying them do pass, it's still pretty darn funny when they insist on picking YOU up when they're taller
  19. SO excited to get another TR! Woohoo! Love Tessy -- reminds me of my sweet tri-color collie. Can't wait -- bring it on!
  20. As much as I love reading TRs, I swear I get just as bummed when they end as I would if it were ME actually leaving the Fort! Thanks for the great TR, and all the fantastic photos. Even though we haven't been able to make it down for our scheduled visit this year (BOO!), seeing all the pictures makes me feel a little better. Looking forward to your October report!
  21. Finally get caught up on this TR -- love all the photos! It looks like SUCH a great time. You guys definitely look like people to hang out with -- so much fun.
  22. Aw, fantastic!!! Every post about Anna makes me smile -- your whole family are shining stars. Anna was truly meant to be part of your fam. A friend of ours here in NC is thisclose to bringing home their new daughter, a special needs little girl from the Philippines. I don't know how the experience there compares to Russia, but they're an outstanding family, too, so I know this little girl is going to be treasured as well. Every child should be so blessed!
