Grumpy and Grandma got a reaction from djsamuel in UPDATE 12/18 BP CHANGES !! Rise of the Resistance Bummer 12/4
But the crowd level at WDW is almost 3 times that of DL and that would affect how fast Boarding Passes run out. Same for CM opportunities since the paying customer would get preference.

Prevost isn't listed either so they must have it classified with them....

Thought you were referring to them disappearing periodically.. Except for the fence around the old playground, all was pretty much back to normal. Tree looked good too.

Grumpy and Grandma got a reaction from djsamuel in More Information on Flamingo Crossing Expansion
I blame local government for that, Lake County is a prime example. There are numerous "Golf Cart Communities" between 192 and Saw Grass, but the county didn't require or build any sidewalks along 27 for carts to use. They just spent tons of money to upgrade 27 and did nothing to upgrade the walks.

Grumpy and Grandma got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in AOA, POP CENTURY & CARIBBEAN BEACH on HARD PARKINGCLOSE
Found out today that AOA, POP CENTURY & CARIBBEAN BEACH are all on a HARD PARKING CLOSE until JANUARY. If you do not have a reservation you cannot get in for any reason. This is apparently to stop people from parking and hoping on the SKYLINER to get to H.S. and Star Wars. Not sure if it applies to BOARDWALK, but I would think it does since BOARDWALK is usually very restrictive over the holidays already.

Grumpy and Grandma got a reaction from fladogfan aka Gretchen in The Haunted House Will Not Be at The Fort this Year
What gripes me is the kid or kids getting on and off the cart between every site that is ridiculous....if they are that lazy they should just stay at home...

They can let people go out through the Kiosks and the normal way with OCS directing the flow on Vista.

Further North of the Hotels was what I saw two years ago. There is still a massive chunk of land there. The new College Program Dorms and Strip Mall are on the SW corner of 429 and Western Way right at the edge of RCID property. They have filled that corner in as itt is a very large campus. There is also still a large parcel off of Hartzog that is vacant over to Avalon. And for those interested, Western Way now connects to Avalon you no longer need to use Hartzog.

Two diesel mechs that I know use the grey/silver bottle of Power Service additive as a primer for the filter. Much easier to keep around.

Grumpy and Grandma got a reaction from fladogfan aka Gretchen in ALASKA #3 and STILL GREAT
Didn't hear anything about not picking up rocks and no we did not do the Dog Sled. Gail had it planned when we went with them in 2015, but it got cancelled.

Next stop was SKAGWAY. It’s really a big little town, approximately 5 blocks wide and 7 blocks long, but very busy when the cruise ships arrive. Here you can board the train and take a very scenic ride up the mountain and cross back over to Canada. We did that on our 2 previous cruises and you can see those pics in my 2012 report.
In the morning when we arrived Rick and Andy went salmon fishing, but since it was early in the season it was catch and release for the king salmon.
After lunch we took and very exciting and scenic helicopter tour up to one of the glaciers. We had originally booked a sea-plane excursion, but do to the 3 previous accidents DCL cancelled all of those tours.
Here we are after our safety video with our safety vests waiting for our ride. Grandma, Michele and Charlotte had no desire to tag along.
Here comes our ride.
Rick and Andy got to sit in the front.
The scenery was spectacular from this vantage point.
Getting close to our destination
Andy and Emily by the Alaskan Flag.
They leave one helicopter there for emergencies
The reason you see the dark streaks on a glacier. The rocks that are crushed and moved along with the ice. It’s amazing what Mother Nature does.
A close up
Since I still have some walking issues due to my back I stayed back from the group and just took pictures.
The blue color that reflects through.
The kids off in the distance
The clear ice shows the purity of the water
It’s really hard to see, but the water is running about 6’ below us under the ice.
One last shot before we head back to the ship. We were on the Glacier for over 30 minutes which for the kids made for a very interesting afternoon.
More of the wonderful scenery as we head back.
The harbor approaches as we arrive back at the port. We actually boarded the helicopter with-in about a block of the ship.
As we are about to touch down.
Up next, JUNEAU, Mendenhal Glacier and some whale watching.

Grumpy and Grandma got a reaction from keith_h in Resort Parking Fees Increased
So has Universal. If you read the non Disney written articles part of that is being done to control the crowds and it's not working. Prices go up and crowds get bigger so apparently it's not hurting too many families. This past fall Linda and I never found a "slow" day at the Parks, lines for many attractions were ridiculous. MK has been open 15 min and already a 60 min wait for SDMT.. AK already has a 90 min wait for AVATAR. HS 90 min for Slinky Dog. So somebody's buying tickets.
