  1. I also really like Illuminations! I also would not be opposed to a new show. What I really like about Illuminations is the ease of watching it! I have great memories of watching it from all these different places, and not being in a mob like Magic Kingdom or not having to line up and wait like Fantasmic. We've also been very fortunate to get some pixie dust thrown our way a few times giving us access to special viewing areas. But what other park can you be enjoying an adult cocktail inside a bar, walk outside and watch the fireworks the instant they start? WBI
  2. Thanks TCD! Yeah no Mickey Pretzels this trip, I lucked out and got them on our first cruise, but I didn't see them at all this time. Honestly we're not big fans of Mickey Bars, W likes them but we all ate so much ice cream, or cookies and ice cream or wings or pizza that we never ordered them. We did room service milk and cookies though. We did have great weather except for the embarkation day, but after that it was good. I agree I think that's a great itinerary out of Galveston, I much prefer it than the western route of Cozumel and Grand Cayman, those Galveston cruises don'
  3. I haven't watched a whole one yet, but I don't think it's my thing either. WBI
  4. Here it is the last video from our Disney Wonder Cruise. It was a quick morning, we opted to skip on the main dining room and instead went to the buffet for a leisure early breakfast, then back to our room to enjoy our balcony one last time. The atrium was crowded but we slowly made our way off the ship. Once off the ship the baggage area was huge and we had no problem getting help with our bags, then we cruised through customs where they were literally just hanging out talking not checking anyone. Then I decided W and I would go get the trusty SUV so we didn't have to deal wit
  5. I just posted day 7, our last full day which happens to be a sea day. Today we: Built a gingerbread house Met Santa Hung out at the pool Ate at Animator's Palate again And relaxed all day. WBI
  6. Yeah and you can't monetize (put advertisements) on your channel until you get 1000 subscribers and so many hours of views.
  7. I agree, I assume he's frustrated but you have to be careful when your trying to get fans. WBI
  8. Did you see the post before this? Evidently he get's asked a lot what his schedule is and he is getting a little annoyed at it, since people are following him or watching his youtube videos? WBI
  9. I agree, I was a huge fan as a kid and this looks pretty good but I don't know if I can bring myself to pay for Youtube Red. WBI
  10. Change. It was bound to happen. I'm also interested in the chicken and rib combo though, that could be a big hit with my family, as the wife isn't a big fried chicken fan but she loved the Hoop's ribs. WBI
  11. Exactly! I fully agree, I'll spend every dime I can on memories and family time! WBI
  12. You know it. Yeah same here with Irish Kevin's, I had lots of good times there singing along to the guitar man. Back in the ole days, we started a tradition of driving down to Key West the weekend before Lisa's school year started up. We'd wake up super early and drive down. We would always have a breakfast beer at Hogs Breath, some of my favorite memories were how happy and excited we were to get to that little outdoor bar and have a mini one night vacation. We tried to do that this trip but for some reason they bartender wasn't ready so we moved it to Sloppy Joes! WBI
  13. Thanks, we have to do that every year. EVERY. YEAR. Even though people usually don't see us in them at all. This year I talked her into at least using the ones from the year before. By the way I just edited my previous post, I messed up and said it was our last full day but that's not true, we have a sea day up next. WBI
  14. Time for an update! I just posted Day 6 of our Disney Cruise. Today we went to Key West, where I took to W to some historic sites, like Captain Tony's, Hog's Breath, and Sloppy Joe's where he had a custom drink at the bar! The rest of the day we tried to enjoy the ship as much as we could. W got to get up on the main stage for his Oceaneer Club performance and did great, better than he did at his own school recital a week earlier. All in all it was a great day! WBI Who I had to go back and edit that post, I said it was our last full day but that's n
  15. Thanks for the update! I've only put about 50 miles on mine so far, they get a good test in 9 more days. WBI
  16. I was going to say Deck 6, but now that I think about it W and I took them all the way down to Animator's palate for the muster drill, but I think you're right we went took the emergency route since it was the muster. All I can say is for sure deck 6. It sounds like Deck 5 was accessible then?
  17. Haha that's an old one! I tried to make Mrs. WBI watch that once on Netflix but she couldn't do it, it's not as great as I had remembered. It looks like they missed it though it was pulled from Netflix back in 2016. But they could rent it online for $2.99, that's cheaper than booking another cruise. WBI
  18. New Orleans hotels charge a premium for parking most over $40 per night, but so do most city hotels. DisneyWorld has plenty of surface parking lots, there's not a shortage of parking. I've always been against hotels charging for self parking and resort fees. I totally get why they do it, and how they get away with it but I don't have to like it. This sucks. WBI
  19. Great question! They did not have it when we sailed! I was shocked by that, I figured with the last renovations done in 2016 they would have added that. It really sucked with kids, it comes in handy when getting ready or in the mornings, we kept catching movies in the same spot every time we turned it on. On the Fantasy it was nice to be able to turn on Mickey Mouse Club house in the mornings. I actually just saw a couple days ago that the Magic is just out of a refurb and it was big news that they added on-demand to their TVs. So now the Wonder is the only one without on-demand.
  20. Yes it is! I tried to be ready for it this time but it still got me a little.
  21. Thanks, that's how we roll! Don't you always say you'll sleep at home? We fully agree with that! Castaway Cay is one of our favorite things right now so we try to take full advantage of it! The walking wasn't too bad this time, W is getting better all the time about walking on his own and I was super lucky that I snagged a jogging stroller for Betsy! We also did the dance party with Minnie and Goofy but it was kind of lame this time so I cut that video. You said it on the snorkeling! I always forget how far apart all those things are, it's definitely a work out especially without fli
  22. We left Galveston on December 15, 2017. I have to say I really like that about the Disney Ship for the most part it doesn't feel to crowded, the only exceptions are when there is something really big going on in a small place, like the Winter Wonderland in the Atrium. They only offered that one time on the whole cruise so of course it was packed. As far as Castaway Cay, it looked empty this time compared to being on the bigger ships, that was really suprising! I know that's the best part to traveling with kids, watching them react to different things and how they take it in! Betsy was
  23. Thanks everyone for the comments and checking out the videos. I just posted day 5, Castaway Cay day! Today we did: Breakfast on Verandah First off the ship 5k Beach Eating Snorkeling biking eating drinking and more of the same... WBI
  24. We were told there was not one by multiple CMs so we didn't even check. WBI
