I71 and I75 Through Cincinnati UPDATE 8.22
WannaBeImagineer replied to bdm's topic in Travel and Transportation
Wow so if you fly into Cincinnati and need to go downtown you are basically screwed. I had to do that for work last year and had no problems, of course I timed my driving to miss rush hour. WBI -
Is the magic gone?
WannaBeImagineer replied to WrigleysWagon's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
As I've said before we agree about the unplugging at Disney. We used to leave our phones in the room and not worry about them the whole trip, definitely didn't bring them in the parks but now with MDE we have to bring at least one. This past trip CP left her's in the room and I carried mine for MDE only. I didn't look at anything other than MDE and it was great! There were a few times we wanted to use phones to find each other when we had to split up but we just arranged a meeting place and had no issues. I love unplugging and I'm leaning towards more trips where I can do so eas -

I agree, Epcot is a must for us. After rushing around the other parks we look forward to just walking and relaxing in Epcot. WBI -

Do they really still say "welcome home" we haven't been told that in years, probably since 2011. WBI -
I'm in! I don't get why the Fort has such a hard time assigning sites and knowing what's empty and what's not empty. Why doesn't a Fort CM drive the loops twice a day and confirm, I'm assuming because there's so many sites? I guarantee that motor home on 811 took the wrong site and no one noticed until you were assigned 811. Our last trip we were also assigned a site that was already occupied, after a long trip it's the last thing you want to deal with. Score on the chicken! Looking forward to more! WBI

We bought a Cougar x-lite in the spring of 2014, it's a 26SAB fifth wheel. We've used it quite a bit and have had no big complaints. We actually never had anything go wrong that I needed to bring in for warranty work so I guess that's a win. It pulls great and everything works. :) I do think about things that I would want different on the next one but it's not against Cougar it just upgrades. I'd like a taller ceiling in the bedroom, more storage, black or brown trim on the exterior, the white on mine mildews bad. I think you'll be happy with the Cougar! WBI

April 3 Security Changes
WannaBeImagineer replied to Travisma's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Some how I had it in my head that you didn't have to go through security twice if you boarded a resort monorail going to Epcot. But after our May 13th stay I can tell you that is not the case. We took the monorail from GF to TTC and TTC to Epcot lots of times. Every time we did we were checked at the GF and at Epcot. It wasn't a big deal but it is a situation where you get checked twice. It seemed to me that all monorails coming to Epcot had to come through security which would mean you've been through security twice. WBI -
Dave you just reminded me, on two different occasions we saw castmembers stop a woman walking by and tell her she had to put on a shirt. One woman was in a bikini top and the other was in a sports bra. The castmembers one cast member was at a popcorn stand in MK and the other at a food place in Epcot. WBI

I totally believe you based on my one and only Four Seasons experience. Last year pre-ski season we stayed at the Four Seasons Vail for two nights. It was the nicest hotel experience we've ever had. The room was great, the staff were awesome, everything was amazing! Seriously nothing compares to that hotel experience. Even though we were there in the off season and paid 1/4 of the normal price they treated us like royalty, I'd go back there in a heartbeat, but sadly I can only afford it in the off season. I agree though, as nice as a Four Seasons is I don't like it's location ne

Pandora Dedication Ceremony Time Change !!!
WannaBeImagineer replied to Travisma's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
I have no words... How could they think this is a good idea? On another note, I'm pretty sure the lady is also a drummer in Japan at Epcot. WBI -
I'll add my opinion which seems to be the same as others. We watched the on May 13th from the Grand Floridian dock, the fireworks seemed really good. May 14th we were in Magic Kingdom but didn't get a spot with a view early enough, instead we watched it from the outer hub ring by the popcorn stand on the Liberty Square side. We had to watch under and through a tree, we could see the fireworks fine but almost no projections. On May 17th we didn't really want to try and watch them so instead we rode rides and got snacks. We ended up watching the fireworks from Frontierland, then

Changes to certain hours things are happening
WannaBeImagineer replied to Katman1356...Jason's topic in Disney Rumors Board
Interesting. I don't know about those time changes but it reminded me of something. We were there last week and there were so many people there to see the new Happily Ever After fireworks that they moved up the last Move it Shake it "parade" by 15 minutes. I'm not sure if 15 minutes really helped but evidently one day Minnie's float got stuck in the crowd and had trouble getting out so they moved it up. People were saving places 2 hours early for the fireworks! Nuts! I refused to fight for a spot in the hub for that long and because of it we never got a great view of the castle w -
Great post Shoreline! Was this an architectural conference? Lot's of great photos and info about the architects. I'm a big fan of Traditional Neighbor Developments but I'm not sure I could live in one either. Back in my engineering days I worked on a large scale TND, Ave Maria, FL but the housing crisis hit as it was getting started and they have been slow to build out since. I do hear they are making progress now though. I think the TND concept is great but you are very close to your neighbors. On the other hand I love Seaside, FL! I think they thrive because of the beac

We only have the Disney channel at our house since I'm too cheap to pay for the upgrade to get Disney Jr. About a year ago we could watch Disney Jr. in the mornings while getting ready to go to school, PJ Masks, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Miles from Tomorrowland, Jake & Neverland Pirates, all stuff W liked. But then one day they changed the schedule and now none of those are on at a time he can watch them. I don't get why they would do that but what do I know. Now we watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVDs I got on sale over and over, lol. He also likes the old Mickey Cartoons so I need

A TCD Easter at The Fort Trip Report
WannaBeImagineer replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Trip Reports
Oh yeah we have one, W rode all over Seaside and Watercolor in it, and everywhere else we camped. Now that he's bigger though he prefers the seat on the back of mine, and so do I, the trailer catches a lot of wind. Baby B is still too little for a bike but it won't be long before she'll be riding in the trailer with her big brother. :) WBI I just realized my initials and my kids initials...W&B. I guess I need to get a dog and name it something with an I lol WBI -
A TCD Easter at The Fort Trip Report
WannaBeImagineer replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Trip Reports
Thanks for posting the Trip Report TCD! I know they are a lot of work, especially the photobucket link part. You would think there would be an easier way at this point. The mornings really are great at the Fort. I've actually found that I like early mornings at any campground/resort, even not at Disney. They are just so quite and nice compared to when things really get going with all the people. Dave congrats on the daughter getting married! WBI
