  1. Those cookies are the best! A consultant we use sends the to me at Christmas! Also doesn't Christy's supply the cookies to Double Tree? WBI
  2. I remember that documentary. Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of Costco also, when I lived in Florida we were members, but I'm not going to drive to Lafayette just to go. Also our Sam's carries a lot of the same things, high end wines and champagnes, electronics, sporting gear, fancy purses and watches. Yesterday I bought a double doozie cookie cake for my wife for $18!!! You know how much the Great American Cookie Company charges for something like that! Shes loves those things and requests it every year for her birthday. Speaking of Costco, does anyone book travel through them, lot
  3. Yes I believe we have talked about it. I don't get down there often, usually only if someone is in town that wants to see some tourist stuff. They are actually having their Fur & Wildlife Festival this weekend, haha I went to that street party in college, it was interesting. But that was pre-Rita I'm not sure what it's like now that so many old places are gone. WBI
  4. No, I'm in Lake Charles so Lafayette is too far for my shopping. But I do work with someone who loves Costco enough that they drive over to Lafayette some weekends to do their shopping. I'm heading north this afternoon, we're going camping for the long weekend at South Toledo Bend State Park. It sounds like it will be nice and cold but that's ok with us. WBI
  5. I do the same thing, as recent as May 2017. I guess I'll have to re-think that. WBI
  6. How long did you go for? It sounds like you hit a lot of places. I like to dream and plan a trip like this all the time but I haven't been able to commit to enough time off all at one time. WBI
  7. Our only option here is a Sam's and we love it, good tire deals among other things. I think my wife likes it because she'll tell me she's buying groceries or toilet paper but slips some clothes in there too. When all you see is Sam's club on the credit card statement there's no way of knowing what was purchased. lol Plus they have the cheapest gas around. WBI
  8. Exactly, I wanted to add I'm planning to buy a couple more pairs from them soon, just so I have a set in various places. WBI
  9. I've ordered three pair from there, two $8 and one for $25 I think. One $8 pair had a screw that kept getting lose, which i eventually lost, the other two have been great. Granted I don't wear glasses all day long every day but they have worked well and the prescription seems accurate. WBI
  10. Some Marriott properties have it also, but I always get a key card so I haven't tried it. WBI
  11. So 90 days in advance instead of 60, interesting....that would help guarantee you get an attraction you wanted. Also the multi-park option is nice. This all reminds me of DCL and the Castaway Cay Cabanas, people are nuts for those things and pay tons of money for a concierge cabin just so they can pay tons for money for a cabana. WBI
  12. I hate to say this about my home state area but I really dislike I-10 through Louisiana. Mostly Baton Rouge to Lafayette, you can hit traffic there daily (usually east bound). Baton Rouge actually has i-10 go down to one lane after the Mississippi Bridge so at the wrong time of day it backs up. That being said don't let is scare you away just plan to avoid Baton Rouge during your typical rush hours. Other than that I haven't been west of San Antonio in quite a while, I-10 to San Antonio isn't bad, not sure how you feel about towing through Houston traffic but I'm sure you could h
  13. My parents have had to use rental trucks before but it was paid for by the dealership. Their duramax had problems years ago and the first dealership caused bad problems resulting in the truck being out for months, the second dealership took great care of them but were slow, so they paid for a rental truck anytime they needed it, but it was so expensive they asked they swap it out for a smaller truck when not towing. I can't remember if it was Enterprise Trucks or Hertz but it was one of those and it had a gooseneck ball in it, not a fifth wheel hitch. It was a 3/4 ton gas GMC if I call corr
  14. We also like Topsail, but we'll be at Grayton Beach State Park for Spring Break again, we like it because of the proximity to Seaside. I saw an alert that Grayton is going to start upgrading their old loop in September 2018. I don't think they know how much they'll do yet but it said upgrade water, electric and possibly sewer. It didn't sound like they'll increase the pad sizes though. WBI
  15. I can't figure out how to split a quote anymore... Comments on Boudin: W is four and loves boudin, he eats it all the time, I wasn't expecting much from Tianna's boudin balls but W downright refused to taste them, he said that was not boudin, and I have to agree something just wasn't right. I think we talked about this before but next time you're in Scott, LA go to Billy's Boudin, it's the same exit as Don's. They are better than Don's or the Best Stop! They have pepperjack boudin balls or Boudin Wraps (boudin in a egg roll wrap) that are the bomb! The only problem is that t
  16. You can bring your kids with you into the pub during certain hours. W actually took a nap on a couch during our pre-dinner drinks one night. Also I may have brought W with me while I filled up a plate a couple times, he stood at the door flirting with a castmember while I got our snacks, lol WBI
  17. I'm late but all caught up! Great report but you're making me miss the Wonder! We just got off a couple weeks ago. I also found those wings and ate them a lot, sometimes multiple times a night. They were part of the reason I gained over 10 pounds on this cruise! Looking forward to more. WBI
  18. Yes it was awesome! It was a Very Merrytime cruise but it was the week before Christmas, Dec. 15th-22nd. We left out of Galveston, two sea days, Nassau, Castaway Cay, Key West, and another Sea Day. It was a great time! We had better service this cruise in the dining room and stateroom host. Also W loved the kids club (this was his first time), and all around it was just a great trip, we can't wait to go back. My only complaint was the extra Christmas things should have had more times for each event like meeting Santa, I think he only met 3 or 4 times and his lines was over an ho
  19. I got to see it last week on the Disney Wonder! I really liked it, I will add what others have said some of the comical things were a little odd and could have been left out but overall I thought it was great. We have friends though that did not like it so I'm now assuming they are closet hardcore sci-fi fans, lol. I honestly had not idea about all the critics until yesterday so I read some and I think ya'll are right. The super fanboys will always find something wrong, there's no pleasing them. WBI
  20. I've always wondered the same thing, they have to be in good with a long time managers or Fort worker that helps them out. Someone mentioned before that they get there early and wait for the site but that wouldn't work out year after year. WBI
  21. I really like MVMCP so thanks for the report, glad to hear they have new treats too! I used to hurt myself on the cookies. WBI
  22. Looks like a great trip! I would love some Ohana right now or the Hoop!!!! Thanks for continuing to share! WBI
  23. Epcot, Norway Bakery? I think we played trucks by that once, lol What's the official name.....Kringla? WBI
  24. I got ya, that makes sense. I didn't think about it only being one house per room. Hopefully they'll help you out since you have a special situation. WBI
  25. Tom, I was under the impression that a ticket was good for the whole family/room? I haven't done this but I'm planning to in December so I really don't konw. Did you see something different? Thanks, WBI
