  1. I'm with Dave. I cannot see it. I am looking at the site using Chrome on my Samsung Galaxy phone. I will try to check using my computer and the Ipad to see if that makes a difference.
  2. A friend of mine from college who is disabled and advocates for people with disabilities shared this article on her Facebook page today. She said that this morning she went out to eat and the restaurant did not have straws. She advocated and explained to the waitress why to the waitress why someone like herself needed a straw to be able to enjoy a beverage. The restaurant owner listened and told her that they would get some to furnish upon request. https://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2018/07/11/627773979/why-people-with-disabilities-want-bans-on-plastic-straws-to-be-more-flexible
  3. I know how you feel. My son is on his last year at Alabama. Filling out my homeschool paperwork for the girls this year, it hit me I only have two years left of this homeschooling.
  4. My condolences to your daughter's friend. Please let her know that I am praying for her and her family.
  5. They are not showing up for me either. Those posted on August 9th and 10th are the ones I cannot see.
  6. My dad was stationed in Alaska when I was a little girl. We left there after I finished kindergarten and I still remember so much about being there. I look forward to your trip report.
  7. Jessica would love this. You can find me here while Jessica is painting.
  8. This is that campground where Judy and I stayed over Labor Day a few years back. I really liked it. I think the worst part was the drive over as they were working on 72/31. Is that done now?
  9. I have informed Jessica that pictures are required for me to post.
  10. Rachel, Jessica, her friend and I are headed here tomorrow for a couple of days. We are booked in B69.
  11. Add me to the list of those who likes Smoky Bear. We really should plan a GG there sometime soon. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  12. So, as my family has gotten older and as mentioned above it is harder to create these memories. I have come up with the perfect solution. I will join your family. So when is our next adventure sis. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  13. This is so true. I sit here now reading this report as well as following some friends current western vacation on Facebook wishing we had taken the time when the kids were younger to go. Heck now just trying to plan a trip back to Nebraska is like herding cats. If I had to do it over again, I would take more time when they were younger for these dream vacations. People always say oh they won't remember it. Go when they are older. I say go when you can and if you are fortunate go back again. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  14. 36 people! Sounds like some wonderful memories are going to be created. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  15. Jessica says fly her down there, pay for her ride and she will volunteer as tribute.. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  16. We don't have one near us so it's a treat for us. The bread definitely factors into not being able to finish a meal. My children seem to like going there for their birthdays. In fact we still owe Drew a birthday meal there. That was the plan if he had gone to Atlanta with us. So I imagine we will be up your way sometime before he heads back to school in the fall. There is one in Baltimore that back in my payroll administration days my coworkers and I would go to occasionally after getting all our checks out. Our office was actually in Columbia. It was one of our treats to ourselves. Sent f
  17. So we got into the shuttle and the driver took us over to Lenox Square Mall that is where the Cheesecake Factory was which we had decided on for dinner. Now there really isn't a huge fancy mall near us. Anytime we want to feel like we are going to a big mall we head up towards DaveInTN's area and go to Cool Springs. This Lenox Square mall was huge. As in we didn't even get around all of it. Our first stop after getting our name on the list at the restaurant was to check out the two department stores that my girls had never been in before Bloomingdale and Neiman Marcus. Bloomingdale's had like
  18. I'll go ahead and blame the scotch for you. It was nice and actually quiet relaxing. Just what we needed. You tell him! Thanks for joining and thanks for the input you gave me. Glad to have you. We didn't do all that much, but thanks for joining us. I really appreciate you joining in Gwen. I know how busy your life is these days. How is your mom doing? 20. Thankfully we did not experience that. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  21. After debating on where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do we decided to head towards Atlanta. I had thought it was going to be the five of us, but my son decided not to go. So in true fashion, we got on the road bright and early around noon thirty. Steve looked at the map on his phone and we decided it would be best to take the windy roads through Mentone over to 75. No pictures just imagine alot of this ~~occasionally some of this---~~ and then we finally reach I75. Actually the ride wasn't too bad, better than sitting in traffic in Chattanooga. We arrived at the Residence Inn which
  22. Well since the weather in both places looks bad for this weekend, we are taking the amusement parks off of our to do list. So we have decided on going to Atlanta. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
