BradyBzLyn...Mo got a reaction from momof3kids-Yvonne in Skipping our trip this year.
Love the Poly!!
No fall trip for us this year either (boooooo), but we're still planning to book for late fall 2021. Not only is it WDW's 50th but it's our 25th anniversary also so it's perfect timing!

BradyBzLyn...Mo reacted to Katman1356...Jason in UPDATED 5/28 WDW reopening information as of 5/27
A note I am about to add on Facebook.
At this time they have taken down the ability to make new reservations, dining reservations, and Fastpasses while I assume they get everything in place and started for the new set up. I will update if I see any of these have been turned back on.

BradyBzLyn...Mo reacted to Katman1356...Jason in UPDATED 5/28 WDW reopening information as of 5/27
I am still sorting through everything and I dont know that I can keep popping over here to update today. Here is what I know so far. I will keep updating my Facebook page as I get more information. Here is a link to it. https://www.facebook.com/JasonWithMouseCounselors
All of this is confirmed information straight from the mouse.
Updated 12:40 pm 5/27 Walt Disney World has also taken ticket sales offline for now.
"Because theme park capacity will be significantly limited as we welcome Guests back to the magic, we will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system that will require all Guests to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance. At this time, we are temporarily pausing new ticket sales and Disney Resort hotel reservations so we can focus on Guests with existing tickets and reservations. (Disney Vacation Club members can still make new reservations.) Existing ticket holders and Annual Passholders will be able to make reservation requests in phases before new tickets are sold; we’ll be reaching out to these Guests soon to provide additional details. We will resume new ticket sales and hotel reservations after that period of time. Theme park reservations will be limited due to attendance limitations and will be subject to availability. More details about this new reservation system will be available soon."

Updated 12:32 pm 5/27 Per Disney's Covid info banner DVC Properties and Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground will reopen June 22. Remaining resorts at Walt Disney World will reopen July 11

BREAKING NEWS: Disney World has presented its plans for a phased reopening before the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force group. Disney World plans to begin its phased reopening on the following dates:
Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Saturday, July 11
Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT – Wednesday, July 15
Soft openings will occur before those dates with cast members and other invited audiences.
Disney World will reopen much like Shanghai Disneyland on the basis of a reservation system. Guests will have to secure a reservation for the day they intend to attend a park.
The parks will reopen at limited capacity, with gradual increases as the county progresses through reopening phases. Theme park reservations will be required in advance of visiting, with details to be announced at a later date.
Social distancing and face masks will be enforced throughout the parks, and temperature checks will be required for access to the parks.
There is no word yet on how Disney will integrate those who have package reservations or when resort hotels will open. We will continue to update this post with additional reopening details, protocols, and more as they are announced in the meeting.

BradyBzLyn...Mo reacted to djsamuel in Taking Bets on DS reopening
We did go on Friday. It was very nice and not crowded. Everybody was adhering to the rules and were polite; both the workers and guests. The entry was a breeze; quick and easy.
I made sure to walk to the scene of the BBQ crime. 😀 All of the tables at that spot were gone. All of Raglan Road is still closed so they removed all of the tables around there. Guess that won't be happening there again.
Several restaurants were open and the lines weren't bad/non existent. The only lines were at Earl of Sandwich and Blaze Pizza; and they were more caused by the 6' rule than by crowds. Overall it was very nice getting back, although a little strange driving the empty roads of Disney World.

Yes, this! I don't know what makes anyone think that this is a good idea when there are a ton of other possible options.
I will give you a dollar for a picture of that!

BradyBzLyn...Mo reacted to djsamuel in WDW , UNIVERSAL & SEA WORLD to present reopening dates on Thurs.
So far down here we've eaten at Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel and our favorite Italian Restaurant in Winter Springs that just reopened. All three experiences have been excellent. They are doing a great job. Olive Garden in Clermont was especially creative. You pulled into the parking lot and followed the signs to an outdoor check in tent. You checked in while still in your car, and then parked where they told you to. You then walked to the door and waited outside. Within a minute, someone came to the door with printed throw away menus to take you to your table. The menu was reduced in terms of selection but still had a nice variety. The food was great as was the service. All three restaurants went out of their way to make sure you took your time and to make sure you realized how much they appreciated our business. Won't hesitate to go again. No if the local Chick Fil A would open dine in that would be great.

And totally with you on not being keen on crowded spaces right now.
I'd be very surprised.

We still have a drive-in movie theater near here - I think it's the last one in the state and one of only a handful in New England. They play first run movies and we've been a bunch of times. The place is usually packed unless the weather is lousy. They reopened a week ago (reduced capacity so all cars are spread out) and sold out their first weekend in a flash.
There's another in MA that's finally being allowed to reopen Monday. They've had their pretty robust snack bar open for takeout for a while now. They're celebrating the reopen for movies with a midnight (ok 12:01) movie Sunday night and I'm expecting they'll sell out as soon as tickets go on sale. They're also gearing up to host outdoor socially-distanced events like graduations and weddings.
We have a music/performance venue nearby that pivoted quickly from having to cancel all their shows, to working with the town to get permission to turn their pretty large parking lot into an outdoor, drive-in performance spot. They had their first shows last weekend and they all sold out. They've just released a whole new schedule full of shows for the next couple of months and word is they've been contacted by acts all over the country asking to book there since there aren't any indoor venues available.
When life throws you a big ol' pandemic lemon, you get creative and make some newfangled lemonade.

BradyBzLyn...Mo reacted to Duane in Disney Cruise Line Cancellations as of September 15
Just checked this morning for something to do, and it looks like the fleet is spread out all over the place...
The Wonder is still cooling her heels outside of San Diego
The Dream is at the dock in Port Canveral
The Fantasy is outside of Puerto Cortes, Honduras. I think they dropped off some crew in Cozumel recently.
The Magic is moored in Ponta Delgada, Portugal.
From some of the stuff I've read, the Fantasy and Magic were on repatriation cruises to get their crew back to (or close to) their homes...

BradyBzLyn...Mo reacted to Grumpy and Grandma in Disney Cruise Line Cancellations as of September 15
The Magic was scheduled for a Transition Cruise anyway had they still been sailing. They do that every May to start the European cruises, it's scheduled for May 9th again in 2021.. The Wonder keeps going in and out of Port in San Diego since there are only 3 piers to allow other ships in. They are all probably restocking and refueling. It's probably going to be a confusing summer for them since they have to depend on Vancouver to open up. The Fantasy is now on it's way to Rotan and as you said it just left Puerto Cortes. The Magic, Dream and Fantasy were all in Canaveral last week. Made a pretty picture on the morning news.

WHAT!!! Disney doesn't read my posts/complaints/suggestions and use them to guide their day to day operations?
I put a lot of time and thought into my enlightening posts!
I'm heartbroken and devastated.
I guess I'll just have to get on the Disney Moms Panel to make myself heard!

No problem! Disney has already rolled out their supercute line of masks. Let the #DisneyFace hashtags commence... 😎
Especially when they're trying to sell you something.
