  1. Yeah!! I was there for the first trip, but I've gotten TERRIBLE about taking pictures, so can't wait to see what we did :)
  2. I had vehicle trouble on the way home from a campout several years ago. It was a Sunday evening. Good Sam towed my vehicle to the nearest service station, and dropped me and my T@B at the nearest campground. Monday morning, I called the service station, they gave me a quote and repaired my truck. (Broken radiator hose), then picked me up and I headed home Monday. I was within half a day's drive home, so worse case, we could have arranged to park the camper somewhere, and family pick us up to get us home. I think some of the towing plans have upgrades such as trip interruption insurance, m
  3. I am LOVING my gas furnace. With this cold snap, we have kept the thermostat at 70-71 and are very warm. Our heat pump on the old house struggled with these types of temps. Our utility bill on this new house at twice the size has been LESS than the old house too :)
  4. Wow, very nice!! We might try a 3-day cruise again. Like you, we are not beach people. Our one stop on Castaway Cay all those years ago was not too pleasant. We decided to walk/scooter out to the adult beach, we also left the boat late because I wanted to go on the Aqua Duck without a line first. It was HOT on CC, there were no chairs in the shade left. We spent our day at CC at the adult bar, then the adult lunch place, then wandered the shops a bit, then back to the boat. Didn't even get near the water. We probably would have had a better day on our balcony with drinks we brought with us and
  5. We've seen it several times. We often have Soarin FP+ centered around meal time, so we grab something to eat, ride the Living With the Land, see Circle of Life, and then it's usually time for our Soarin FP. Makes for a nice afternoon in some AC.
  6. I can't WAIT for temps to get back up. We've had our week of cold now to kill the bugs off, so I'm ready for this to be over!!
  7. Yes! All the food is included, however, the room service waiters like to get a tip. Also, soft drinks are included on Disney cruises. The only extra food charge is if you go to the fancy restaurants, (Palo, and one other, I forget), there is an upcharge.
  8. We have reservations from 10/27 - 11/11, may not stay that long, but they are there.
  9. In our area, it's about the school buses being able to operate in the extreme cold climate. Many of them can't, and also, they deem it not safe for kids to wait for the bus in those temperatures.
  10. Many folks bring their pets in a popup, but make sure you have air conditioning for the pet, plan to have at least a crate for them in the popup if you plan to leave, or board them at Best Friends if they don't act well alone.
  11. The times we've actually been there for New Years, we take the boat over from the Fort a bit before the fireworks, then enter into the courtyard before the train station tunnels. Usually very few people there. We watch the fireworks from there. You get a better view of the 360 fireworks, and then can make a mad dash for the boat, before the crowds start leaving.
  12. I'm sure they've got video quality cameras mounted all over the place. Also, if you looked in the beginning of the video, I saw some scissor lifts near the castle which probably had cameras on them.
  13. The late night Magic Hours were awesome when our kids were teenagers. They don't get moving till noon anyway, so it was nice to not have to drag them out early, but instead go to the parks on their schedule.
  14. Somebody set a weekend date, (except 2nd weekend in April), and I'll be there!!
  15. Yeah, I wanted to say something about that. I'd been pining to go camping ALLLLLL year. Had to cancel trip after trip cause of the housebuilding or work. Then all ready to go to Defeated Creek, and EVERYBODY cancels on me. (I've got a complex now!!!!) I think it's a lack of Anna hugs. It must be corrected!!!!
  16. Because idiot guests feed the squirrels, they are terrible. They steal your food, chew on your propane lines, hide stuff under your trailer and bark at you for sitting near their "stuff".
  17. Then there are some that bring an ice maker like this..... (and a full size fridge) This actually hooks up to a fresh water hose, and keeps the ice frozen. Yes, TJ, I'm talking to you :)
