  1. I loved visiting LegoLand a few years ago. Even with no kids. I spent most of the day in the gardens, still saw all of the shows, and all of the "larger" rides. No rush, no huge crowds. Loved it!
  2. No argument from me!! I love my little 12' T@B (16 ft total). Now granted hubby and I will go somewhat bigger with a Class C when I retire, but I will always have the little T@B for solo travel.
  3. Interesting.... but I can't stand reading those things cause of all the passive voice. Proposals should be in active voice!!!
  4. My parents are there this week. Dad sent a picture of them outside the Ark. Looks like they are having a good time. It should be an easy drive for ya'll. My parents made it up there in about 6 hours.
  5. Eh, why not. It is better than nothing, and since they are on a one day ticket, they are probably going from crack of dawn to close. They can get there first thing, do the headliners, and then be assured they have rides on some other stuff later.
  6. Yes, the Disneyland monorails were new in 2008. I distinctly remember them bringing the new Monorail Red online for testing during my 08-08 trip out to Disneyland.
  7. Wow, scary. I grew up driving with a manual transmission, so it is 2nd nature for me to put on the emergency brake before I take my foot off the brake and pull the keys. I still on occasion forget to put it in park, but my truck won't let me pull the keys unless it is in park.
  8. I agree! I don't think the digital key is a big deal. I LOVE the Magic Bands. It stays on my wrist, it is waterproof, don't have to dig it out. Since my work made me encrypt my phone and put an extremely difficult passcode on it to do anything except answer a phone call, I hate the thing more and more.
  9. That's why even as an out of stater, I refuse to go to the parks without a annual pass. I HATE that feeling of this ticket is burnt up if I don't use it that day to the fullest. With an annual pass, we can book our 3 FP+ for later in the day, do those attractions, wander a bit, have a meal, and head back to the retreat of the Fort or wander another resort. I feel no need or no desire to spend hours in a park if it's too crowded. We also do not renew every year. We purchase a new annual pass every couple of years.
  10. Agreed, 1500 is more centrally located. It's also on the Yellow bus route. Yellow is a more direct route than Purple when going to the Outpost. When going to Settlement, if you need to go to Wilderness Lodge, just stay on the bus. The Yellow bus continues on to the Lodge.
  11. I really enjoy Reflections of Earth, but it's been here for almost 10 years. It's time for a new show.
  12. There is a large Speedy on W. Buena Vista near the Boardwalk
  13. If you'll notice, they have also quit calling the two piece meal the Lone Rider. They are just "PC" ing the menu.....
  14. It doesn't surprise me that they are keeping the Illuminations name. Back when Reflections of Earth debuted, they tried to drop the Illuminations name, but fans cried out, so they kept it.
  15. I've spent some time there as a day guest. Gorgeous place.
  16. Thanks for writing!! Sometimes you just need a break from something to enjoy it again :)
  17. Halloween week is the "High Holy Fiend Holiday" Many Fort Fiends gather there Halloween week and we usually have at least 1 big potluck and many mini gatherings throughout that time, and lots of us get together and host trick or treating at one or two sites :)
  18. From the Disney Parks Blog https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2018/03/return-to-sleepy-hollow-at-disneys-fort-wilderness-resort-campground-begins-september-28/?CMP=SOC-DPFY18Q1wo0322180328180003C
  19. Also, DME is a stickler about only providing transportation from "your" resort, and during your stay. I used to do quick weekend trips with a very tiny bookbag carryon, so upon arrival, I would have Mears drop me directly to PI on Friday night, then worry about checking into the hotel later. I would also check out of my hotel on Sunday morning, and have a 5:30 am flight home the next morning. Would go to the parks, then Pleasure Island, take a shower at the pool showers, then hop on Mears about 3 am, sleep on the flight home, and get to work. (I was much younger in those days. I
  20. I actually do find this part surprising, because that was a big deal when ME first started. You had to book it in advance. The towncar drivers and taxis insisted on that. If you didn't have a DME reservation, but still wanted to ride, they would direct you to the Mears desk to purchase a ticket. They would still put you on a DME bus, but you had to pay for it. One time I had to go home for a few days during a trip. DME only "gives" you one ride per trip. So I rode Mears from the Dolphin to get to MCO to go home, then when I came back, I went to the Mears desk next to the DME buses and bought a
