  1. I hope they do make the changes. I was less than impressed with the second half of the "new" ride back in 2007.
  2. There are Cast Member discounts listed in the portal, but from what I've heard from other cast they are pretty much limited to low reservation times to fill spots. So to stay there long term, you need to make 30 day reservations way in advance, link them together, and then keep looking through the portal to see if you can get some discounts for some of those days, and then work your existing reservations around for the times you can find cast discounts.
  3. My oldest son did Dive Quest back in 2004. He LOVED it. We were able to see him in the aquarium during his dive. If they are under 18, a parent or guardian has to be there with them at checkin right outside the park to sign the waiver, then you can enter the park, and if I remember correctly, they were in the tank about 1/2 hour later. We have the video somewhere (or my son does, we did some purging and giving away during the move).
  4. Yes, there is a 3-way stop where the sidewalk to the Settlement begins. He could drive up there, ya'll hop out at the 3-way stop, then he could turn at the stop sign and head back to the cabins. The safest way would be to go right at the four-way stop towards 1600-1900 loops, curve around past 100-300 loops, then ya'll could hop out on the right straight to the sidewalk, then he could turn left, straight down the center road, then straight at the 4-way back to the cabins.
  5. I've seen several UHauls brought to the Fort, no issues, and yes you can park it up front. Although not sure what the new rules are about charging for parking trailers up front.
  6. You could get a "buzz"...... at the Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street 🙂 buzz cut
  7. Yeah, I'm guessing the straws are a drop in the bucket compared to everything else. and i HATE paper straws!!!
  8. I think the WWWssss, should take a side trip to do this next year 🙂 Royal Palm Railway Experience Crawling through the endless – why, they seem positively "Ultimate" – construction zones along I-4 is enough to make any commuter long for a return to an era before interstate highways. For the next best thing, make your way to Tavares and board the Royal Palm Railway Experience. Vintage diesel-driven 1950s passenger trains, outfitted with air conditioning and domed observation windows, make regular departures from the recently renovated Wooton Park terminal along the "Golden Trian
  9. Many of my T@B friends are so concerned about putting their spare on the tongue versus where it is mounted underneath because they don't want to crawl under to retrieve it after a flat. I just can't seem to convince them, that leaving it under the trailer is fine, because if they have a blowout, they won't be crawling under their trailer to retrieve the spare, they will be waiting on a flatbed tow truck because it won't be towable any more with the body damage.
  10. Kentucky - Indiana Bridge Question.... We drove to Indiana by way of I-65 over the weekend and stayed on the main bridge which, I "think" from the signs was a toll bridge. It had no toll booths, so I believe we'll get a bill based on our tag(s). Anybody have any experience with this? We don't have an EZ-Pass, but do have a SunPass, and I just checked that account, and no activity.
  11. That would be a neat business though..... High end little camper resorts that cater to little trailers, with pole canopies over the site and individual "bathrooms" at each site.
  12. Yes, there was something called Tearstock in Michigan weekend before last. It was sponsored by Little Guy and Liberty Outdoors. Little Guy used to be the marketing arm for Pleasant Valley Teardrop trailers, (the builder of T@Bs and T@Gs). In April of 2017, Little Guy and Pleasant Valley parted ways, and Pleasant Valley started their own marketing company for their products (NuCamp). Tearstock used to be the event for all Little Guy/Pleasant Valley trailers. Now Pleasant Valley/NuCamp hosts their own event called uCamp. Some T@B folks still attend the Tearstock event, and this year since the d
  13. Facebook. I upload them to a private album, then when you click on a picture to make it large, you can right click and get image link. I don't think they last forever, but it is quick and easy.
  14. We went to a teardrop gathering in Indiana over the weekend. We were at Spring Mill State Park in Mitchell, IN. Lovely little campground. The best thing was no cell signal, no WiFi, and the TV antenna couldn't pull in any channels!! A totally unplugged weekend!! Driving into Indiana from Kentucky Some of the other campers at the event Another Mickey Mouse fan There was a nice exhibit for Gus Grissom Our site, #89 Of course, camping means a Potluck!!
  15. We stopped at Horse Cave KOA on our way to Indiana. It was a quick overnighter, but we enjoyed our stay. Our view from our site We didn't unhitch, but did put out the stabilizers since we were together Beautiful sunset! Glorious Morning
  16. Buzz Lightyear over at Magic Kingdom has always had that kind of "guest abuse" I don't ever know of a time when I haven't seen some peeling wallpaper in that queue
  17. Technically the partial hookups are supposed to be for popups, campervans, and tents. Having said that, they have 50 Amp, 30 Amp plugs, have water, and cable. They do NOT have sewer, and there is not a dump station at the Fort. The driveways are much shorter than the other loops. I have seen everything from tents to teardrops, to hybrids, to motorhomes in those loops. If you use online checkin and get your site number before arrival and just park in the site, more than likely not a word will be said. Alternatively, why not try and have a great travel agent work on upgrading you to a full
  18. That is correct, but shhhhhhh. When TiW was first implemented, Animal Kingdom didn't have any sit down restaurants, so quick service was included in the program. They have never updated the computers, so the restaurants still take it.
  19. https://mydisneydorks.com/2018/07/09/breaking-disney-employee-killed-in-accident-near-pop-century-resort-gondola-construction/?_sohP_0=Ad2c9MidTsmXqdnM9JGYPQ So sad
  20. We didn't have any construction. For some reason though, we didn't take 31. We took 65 to the Beltline, then took the backroads there. While it was nice, there was some maintenance that needed to be done. This is "barely" a Holiday. They have 3 of those cabins. They rent kayaks, bikes, and canoes. They have a boat ramp, and swimming area. However, the grass needs cutting, the "wood" frames around the sites have seen better days, and the stair rails on our "two-level" campsite were almost dangerous. The owners took it over from TVA, added the cabins and the rentals, and bought a KOA fra
