  1. Oh yes, steaks and baked potatoes for dinner with sauteed mushrooms, and then cinnamon rolls and oatmeal for breakfast 🙂 We never count on eating fish when we go out fishing.
  2. That is one of their deluxe cabins. We peeked inside. Downstairs, it has a kitchen, sofa, bedroom with what looks like a queen bed. It has a full bath downstairs. Then upstairs, there is a loft bedroom. It also has a small screened porch. and a decent sized deck where the guests had erected a canopy.
  3. On our trip when our boys were 15 and 16, we basically let them go as they wanted, except they had to join us for dinner, and be back at the hotel room by 11pm unless we were at late night Magic Hours. They spent a lot of their trip at Disney Quest, and "not surprising" they spent some time at Wide World of Sports watching softball. (We were at All-Stars, and there were some softball teams staying there.)
  4. Took a last minute overnight trip to our closest KOA, Decatur/Wheeler KOA Only 1 hour from deciding to go to packed and hitched up. Site P19, Partial Hookup Lakefront Site. It was a 2-level site. Rick followed me there to fish and cook Rick was playing with the LED Light Strip A fish!! and another fish Oh, the site was $46 and change, and then Rick talked to the office and got us the site till 7pm on a Sunday for only $5.00 more.
  5. Very cool! I miss our gatherings we used to have most Holiday's at the Fort, but I know it's hard to herd all us cats together with the high prices. I know I can't get down much anymore.
  6. Disney has really partnered with Anaheim and cleaned up the area around Disneyland. Yes, you can walk to an offsite hotel, but it is all very nice with well landscaped and wide sidewalks. Disney has actually bought the Disneyland Hotel, the Paradise...... something hotel, and of course added Downtown Disney and the Grand Californian. The two times I went there, I stayed around the corner on Katella, which is still very walkable, and has another shopping area with tons of restaurants right there. Yes, the outside world is right there, but it's been Disneyfied.
  7. That is awesome. If you hadn't said anything, I would not have realized that was ToT.
  8. Basically, Mears said, in order to continue this contract, we have to replace/upgrade the existing motorcoaches, as they are at end of life, so Disney, get your but in gear and design new wraps that will fit them 🙂 (Disney leases the Magical Express and Cruiseline transfers from Mears)
  9. We no longer do short trips to the Fort in the camper, it's just too much work and too much money, BUT for our longer Halloween trip, we do still justify the Fort. It fits in with our touring style. Which is to hang at the Fort in the mornings either looping, cooking a good breakfast, just chilling running our mouths with other Fiends, and then spending 3-4 hours in the parks in the afternoon, then dinner out. We just don't feel comfy just "hanging out" at any of the other resorts rooms.
  10. While it may end up being a great attraction, I STILL don't like the new animation.
  11. Electric Mattress Pad and Electric Blanket for the air mattress, and then small safe space heater.
  12. Except for Old Key West, there will be parking for your rig in any of the regular hotel lots. Just park it there.
  13. Very rarely. It seems for the last few years, a few select dates in September have been offered up with passholder discounts, but nothing more. They use passholder discounts to fill rooms. The Fort stays full a lot of the time, so no need to offer discounts.
  14. I was really hoping this would be a great area for all the "groups" Sports Groups, band groups, cheerleader groups, etc. Easy access for charter buses to get on property (also close to WWoS), and inexpensive dining and shopping for all the kids. Low traffic and not as much "public" around for the kids to wander a bit more freely to this shopping and dining.
  15. Just watched Coco yesterday on Netflix. I LOVED it. Delightful movie, and I blubbered through the last half hour.
  16. That was one I never saw, but then I didn't have little ones. Our only time in that building was when it was a Character Meal featuring Alladin and friends back in 1997.
  17. I ate at Mythos a few years ago. I really enjoyed it. We ate at Tiffins last October, hated it.
  18. I think the OP is asking about booking availability. Contact Jason at MouseCounselors. Tell him your dates, and he will work endlessly until he can get you in :)
  19. They converted it from cabins to campsites probably a couple of years ago.
  20. What I would do instead, is contact Jason at MouseCounselors (sponsor here on the board), and get him looking for a full hookup for you. Then cancel your premium once he finds it. He will do everything he can to find the right reservation for you!!
  21. We had more fun watching a lady fit 6 restaurant chairs in her car :) It appeared they were selling off the chairs from Captains Grille that is being refurbished right now.
