  1. Some daytime pics of the campsite Water Parade Love the boat dock area We joined some friends for a ride at Magic Kingdom Then joined some more friends for a fabulous dinner at Boathouse
  2. This is absolutely not a full blown trip report, but I do have a few pictures. We're here!! Our campsite at night. We were in 1301 Visiting the boat dock Boat ride to MK The castle is always a great pic To infinity and beyond! Fireworks and a Dole Whip float
  3. Yes, soak the rain fly thoroughly with the Camp Dry or whatever spray on stuff there is. Stake out the tent thoroughly using every guy line they provide. Keeping it tight allows water to drain off instead of pooling and collapsing. As Mo said I put a 10x20 EZ-Up over my tent perpendicular to the tent. It gives me approximately 10x10 outside the tent entrance dry. Great place for a chair, place to put your shoes, etc.
  4. We did the Port Canaveral stay before our cruise at a Sheraton right next Ron Jon's. Nice hotel. The parking and the shuttle was great.
  5. Love Cave Country RV. Impeccably clean. They hosted a bunch of T@Bs as our final stop on a Caravan from Blue Ridge to Mammoth Cave area. Fabulous folks. Our group of little campers is featured on their web page. I also did an overnight there on my way home from Indiana.
  6. My only ever ride evacuation was on Maelstrom, so perhaps it had the same troubles.
  7. The walk to the park is still pretty bad, but at least looks nicer. The resort bus stops are temporarily at the new charter stops, and they are reworking the resort stops. What is also brutal, is we had to do a transfer at Disney Springs one night. All buses drop off near the Disney Springs "entrance" and we had to walk almost the entire bus "ring" to get to the Fort stop, and it was raining!! What made it worse, is we finished our meal at Beach Club and were about to board a MK bus to get back to the Fort, and the driver wouldn't let us board as the MK had just closed. They were doi
  8. The lobster roll was awesome. Lots of big chunks of lobster. There was a Mac and Cheese with Bacon that was amazing
  9. Pull up to the site Drop the T@B on the road Grab the remote control Drive T@B into place with one finger Back truck in 🙂
  10. We have discovered watching the fireworks from the TTC is really awesome. Even better view than the Fort.
  11. Yes, but when the Fort is at capacity, there can be up to 10,000 people between the sites and the cabins
  12. I enjoy Fantasmic, except for the huge amount of time it requires to see it. The theater is so large it takes more time to seat everyone than the actual show.
  13. It's been 6 years ago, but we really enjoyed that particular parade one evening in early December. I don't recall any h**l raising, just lots of pretty carts and fun.
  14. Sorry to hear about the troubles.... We had some troubles on our trip too, but on the way home. We hit a semi trailer tire tread on the road, and broke some stuff on the truck and the camper. Nothing super major, but really annoying. It is now time to put the camper away for a few months, so it can wait, and the truck stuff is cosmetic, but still really annoying.
  15. I just did a general Google search and came up with this. Looks pretty good. https://fishing-orlando.com/
  16. I had a 20lb tank and 10 lb tank filled, and my receipt stated 30 @ 1.99 plus tax. It was $63 and change. Another Fiend (Christine) also had a tank filled the same week and received a bill for the same price per pound.
  17. I think I've seen pictures on the interwebz of some of the fixtures in a display in Branson at Silver Dollar City. Conflicting information. This article says the lights are from the Osborne's http://www.amusementinsider.com/2017/11/silver-dollar-citys-light-display.html Another article quotes Silver Dollar City as saying the additional lights are NOT from the Osborne display. So who knows?
  18. I always travel with a 30 Amp extension cord (total 50 ft), 75 ft of water hose, 30 ft of sewer hose, and 50 ft. of coax cable. I also always carry a 50-30 adapter.
  19. Oh my gosh, the last reasonably priced item at the Fort has just gone off the rails. It used to be you could get propane filled at the Meadows for under $20 for a 20lb tank. Well that is gone. It is now $1.99 a pound, so a 20 lb propane tank is more than $40.00 to have it filled. So fill your tanks before you get to the Fort, or if you run out, put the tank in your tow vehicle and go find a tank exchange or refill place off property.
  20. We have always taken Western Way, then turning onto World Drive. Now that you bypass the toll booth on World Drive, that is the way we will come in on Friday.
  21. We are leaving in the morning, stopping in South Georgia tomorrow night, then 4 hours to the Fort on Friday morning.
  22. 429 is off of the turnpike off of I-75. You are probably wanting 417 which you can pick up off of I-4 right after you pass Lake Monroe. You will bypass all the I-4 mess in Kissimmee and Orlando.
