  1. It is not so much a policy, as it is an algorithm in their reservation software that limits weekend only stays when it gets a certain percentage full for the weekend. They want to fill up the campground during the week. If myself and/or Jason can get the first day correct, I usually don't even bother cancelling the remaining days until checkin (unless it's a huge amount of extra days, as all of those days will be charged to your card with online checkin). You can drop extra days at checkin (or check out early), without penalty on a room only reservation.
  2. Looks cool, but I don't like that I need to use my phone for the "story"
  3. I would think in the range of 1505 - 1508 for 1500 Loop Then in the range 1630 - 1635 for 1600 Loop
  4. I've done the WalMart grocery pickup in the Disney area, but never the delivery. The pickup is easy peasy, just check in with the app when I'm about 30 minutes out, they track you as you are driving in, then when you pull into the spot, they bring your stuff out.
  5. Sounds cool, but wasn't that what Wonders of Life used to be? A play pavilion about fitness?
  6. Eh, without maintenance, the ground probably gets all torn up and will eventually become nothing but a mud pit, the fencing may need repair. I'm sure not "everyone" cleaned up after their pets, so need to really clean the area. And yes, they may be adding a theme.
  7. Yes, as we were on a bus on that back road on Monday, and the driver said they are closing it down any day now,.
  8. The Fort Wilderness Bus Stop at Disney Springs is ALLLLLLLLLLLL the way around the back. As Yvonne and I were limping towards the bus stops, I saw the Wilderness Lodge/Contemporary bus stop really close. We hopped on there, got off at Wilderness Lodge, and then hopped on the Fort bus. Really nice if you are along the "Yellow" line as you can stay on at Settlement. It's also helpful if you started your day with your cart or bicycles parked at the Marina and did some park hopping or hopped to Disney Springs
  9. On Monday as Yvonne and I were on a bus, the driver stated one of the things they were doing was to level out the "hump" from the old railroad track bed.
  10. Also, unfortunately, since Photobucket got stupid with their pricing and really messed up their interface, a lot of folks have dumped them (including me), and have had trouble finding a similar alternative for posting pictures. It is much harder now.
  11. Yes, "Group" reservations is an entirely different department, and it has to be a minimum of 10 sites, and if those 10 sites are not booked and paid for by your guests, then the contract holder MUST pay for whatever is not booked. Having said all that, I believe they have discontinued any and all "Groups" at Fort Wilderness. They just don't do it anymore.
  12. Happy Birthday Snarky!!! and once again, Dave, member #1 is the first one to reply 🙂
  13. Last I read, they waived the $95 transfer fee for the Fort. However, also from what I understand DVC Fort reservations are almost impossible to get.
  14. So bizarre, once again, folks worrying about non issues rather than the idiots racing their golf carts around and kids driving golf carts, and the 100s of locals invading the Fort on a daily basis filling up the pool.
  15. Yes, if you purchase tickets through Undercover Tourist, you can link them to your My Disney Experience account, and then the tickets will automatically be on your Magic Bands. Once your reservation is made, go to the My Disney Experience web page and if the reservation is not showing yet, then input the reservation number, then you will be able to choose the colors and names on your Magic Bands. I really don't know if you can link reservations with two different agents. One big difference is that if you have more than one vehicle at the Fort, you may be charged a daily fee to p
  16. I saw those signs on my trip back in 2008. I thought it was hilarious at the time.
  17. That is now double what we paid for that pass in 2015. We got ours for about 980 including tax. We really enjoyed that year, several trips to WDW and the Fort, and then an almost 2 week trip out to Disneyland and Hollywood.
  18. Speaking of which, Disneyland tickets just went up again.... the Premier Passport (which is also good for Walt Disney World) now a whopping $2,012.34, tax included. We paid less than 1/2 that price for our Premier Passport just 4 years ago.
  19. We also had a small ranch where we raised our boys and lived there for 24 years. However, we didn't stay with the house. We upgraded the old house several times, BUT finally came to the realization that the area was going down in value, not up, and also it was not conducive to being an "accessible" house without major changes. So we built new in 17. We actually went up in size, but not more rooms. Still have a ranch, but on a slab so no steps, and we have an accessible shower and all the doors are wheelchair width. If it wasn't for those issues, our old house would have been just fine.
  20. I honestly haven't looked at pricing in a long while. Back when I originally looked at all the pricing, there were not any FL Resident tickets that were a good match for bridging. There may be now, and then you also have to account for the monthly payment plan that FL Residents can enjoy, so it may not be a good option.
  21. In 2018 they extended the ticket offer to government contractors, but only those that worked directly with the customers (with CAC cards). Unfortunately, even though I've worked for government contractors for 25+ years, it's always been on overhead for corporate, so no CAC card..... Bummer
