Paraphrasing something I saw posted out on the interwebz that made me actually LOL...
From the Disney Marketing genius handbook:
Dream up elaborate-sounding event that in reality is a few cupcakes and some cheap champagne Set astronomical price -- multiply by 3.14159 Restrict availability to create demand Bam! Meet that quarter's profit goals. -

arthuruscg reacted to LONE-STAR in 1 night at the fort, worth it?
I would if it's on the way. But I wouldn't drive hours out of the way for 1 night. Stay 2 nights.

arthuruscg reacted to Tri-Circle-D in 1 night at the fort, worth it?
I would stay at the Fort for one night in a heartbeat.
But not under these circumstances. Best case scenario for you is a late afternoon check-in, and then packing up and heading home less than 24 hours later.
Sounds like too little time and too much stress with the new trailer and all. Then you have a long drive home.
I wouldn't do it.

Running joke in our house is if we ever see Jim Cantore drive up, we are grabbing our Bail Out Bags an getting out of town as fast as possible.

arthuruscg reacted to Tri-Circle-D in No interest in planning my fast passes
That's a good question. In my case, there are a lot of FP+ reservations that don't get used, because I have to make them far in advance of knowing what we will actually be doing on that particular day.
The concept that you can change your FP+ reservations on the day of is a crock. For anything mildly popular, there will be no alternate times available when it comes time to make the changes. And, it's too much work to cancel them. So, they just don't get used.
MB's work much more consistently of late, but in the early days of their use, it was very common for the band to simply not work. If you couldn't prove who you were, then you were SOL.
Also, the MB by itself won't qualify for your Passholder discount. You have to have a photo ID too. If I need to carry that around, then what has the MB saved me?
I rarely cancel mine, as it's not a simple thing to do on the glitchy app from inside a park where the WiFi works poorly, and drains your phone battery.
I didn't know this. I thought after the times expire, you're good to go.

Wonder how many more Billions they need to spend to fix it and really make it user friendly?

What a bunch of ingrates you all are!
Disney spent over a billion dollars on My Magic+TM, and MyMagic+ takes your Walt Disney World vacation to an all-new level, making it uniquely yours, so you can enjoy every moment with family and friends.

I feel the same way. It used to be with a pass, at least for us locals, you, could just go to the parks, wander around and go on whatever rides didn't have a long line. Sooner or later you would get on everything. But now everything is booked up by people 6 months out. Last time we went camping and had passes, everything felt rushed and not nearly as enjoyable as just hanging out at the Fort.

Maybe they'll retheme LMA in cooperation with HotWheels, then it would fit with Toy Story Land! And, at the threshold between TSL and Star Wars Land how about some human-sized Star Wars Lego kits? I'll be waiting for your call, Disney Imagineering...

More horse power dictates how fast you will hit a fence. More torque dictates how much fence you will destroy.

At the very least, they could've made them Mickey Head shaped.

bingo.
Now, also add in that you already have some one coming to WDW and now they can steer them to the less occupied parks.
Example, WDW knows 2 adults with no kids are coming, they could adjust the FP and dinning reservations to increase the chances that they pick EPOCT or HS over MK or AK. Thus your total park capasity is better utilized. Or if you are coming with 2 girls, and linking to your Movie rewards program, they know you bought Frozen, and Frozen sing along, then yhey could use the app/MB to get you to HS for Frozen stuff there and to EP for the meet and greet.

Exactly. It took two sets of incompetent CM's to deliver that less than magical experience for that poor guest.
